IMAX Theater are pretty nice. No recliners like the newer Regal cinemas or Consolidated. They need to upgrade so bad. Regular screens are more basic. Went to go see Batman V Superman in regular 3D and theater was really warm. Concessions are hit/miss when it comes to speed. Just go early on big releases. :)

When we went to leave the parking structure the arm was down, but the booth was empty. The ticket machine would not take the ticket. We had to push the button to talk to someone to explain and have them open it. Every car had to do this, so it took about 30-45 min to leave the parking structure at about midnight.

This place is a hidden jewel hide away escape. It is good to get away for awhile. Nice people with high standard of service mostly college student on part time job. I love it and wish to come more often. It is old with 18 screen if i am not mistaken. It could improve as matter of time.

Bought tickets to BrightBurn and figured a movie before my flight would be good. Upon walking into the theater my family and I quickly got a smell of some type of stinky smell. Possibly mold or something wet that’s been sitting. The seats were also outdated compared to most theaters, felt very uncomfortable and a handful had holes in the seat. Hand rails going up were dirty and had rust all throughout the theater. Movie itself was fine. The sitting in was bad. Would not recommend

It’s a decent movie theater from outside. But the moment you walk into theater 17 It’s like a moist sock over your nose for the duration of your movie. If smells don’t really bother you or you are as cheap as me, it gets the job done. I assume that the smell is from the the theaters efforts to wash the carpets because even the seats feel kind of moist.

Smells like mold and it could use some better A/C. The Vanilla Coke dispenser gave out root beer. So ya know, it was not the best theater. Our movie screen also had some dark liquid dripping down it at the top. Sound was great though.

What can I not say about this place that's horrendously bad? The air conditioning wasn't working when I was there, I was perspiring, the parking for the location is inadequate, the theatre seemed to be run down, yet they overcharge for all their snacks and the movie tickets. Avoid!

I would give a 5 star if the were reclining seats here. Surprisingly, their cheese burgers here are the one item that differentiates them from the rest. I'd come here just for that. Very juicy. I take mine with jack cheese and pickles and waffle fries. I think that's all I eat here now. I do recommend this place even without the reclining seats. They also have the indie movies here along with the film festival selections.

Ac was broken in theater...was told by manager itll get cool in 30 min. By that time movie started..never did get cool! Went to see a manger after the movie....didnt help .regal staff knew about the problem and still used that theater...never will go regal again!

Dole Cinema... pause for sigh. I am used to other regal facilities that have the recliner seats, so Dole is a significant downgrade. In addition to the older seats, they are crammed together, so if you get a seat next to a larger person it ends up being a fairly unpleasant experience. I went to Dole as it is the only IMAX capable Regal theater on island (that I am aware of). Dole was severely underprepared for the masses wishing to attend the opening weekend of Endgame. I would think that based solely off of the buzz that they'd plus up their staff appropriately. I had seen Endgame at another theater and they adequately prepared for the rush. I stayed in line for approximately 40 minutes; there is no planning for that. I dont know if a machine was broke or what contributed, but that is unsatisfactory. The kid that helped from behind the counter did a good job of getting my order taken and closed out in a timely manner, so it might have been that everyone in line needed to go back to school to learn how to process choices in a timely manner. Again, we didnt have that problem at the other theaters. Between the long lines, lack of fanfare products for opening weekend and the crowded seats, I'd rather go to the other theaters. Pluses at Dole were the kid at the register and having the IMAX experience.

Theatres are in good shape with nice seats. The location itself is just outside of Chinatown in town. Don’t leave any valuables in your car. If you bought your tickets online, just go straight to the dispensing machine or through the front doors if you have the app with a scanable code. Occasionally Dole does participate in special showings of live performances and so forth.

Chairs were not reclining and very uncomfortable. The movie was over 3 hours long so you get the picture. It was supposedly IMAX but we were not given any glasses to watch with. And to top it off, the price was almost $20 per head. What a waste!!! I would rather watch at Olino at Kamakana Alii or Regal Theater in Kapolei. They charge over $13 per person and you will never regret it. They also have the best reclining chairs ever!!! Food at Olino is fairly priced. So come over to the west side and have the greatest movie experience of your life!!!

I was excited to watch a movie before we left on our flight back home. The movie stopped halfway through and then restarted because a guest complained it wasn't in open captions. I knew it was supposed to be in open captions but I didn't mind and there were only 6 people in the theater. It started at 3:35PM and restarted at 4:16PM. At this point I wouldn't want to finish it and had to get a refund. We chose this theatre because it was closer to the airport and it's so beautiful until you get into the theater. 13 has the worst seats and a centipede crawling on the wall.. So disappointing :-(

No reserved seating, although it has stadium seating so no one is blocking your view. Seats are comfy enough, but would prefer the ability to recline with a footrest (as opposed to a seat that feels like a rocking chair). It is clean too. Theaters feel larger here. And then....PARKING. Lots of parking, but be prepared to pay an arm and a leg for it. Really, I only come here for Fathom Events showings. Although it is closest to my home, I prefer a higher-level watching experience, so I will drive farther rather than go here. Just my preference...until Regal decides to upgrade the experience.

Theatre and facilities were clean. Employees were polite and informative . My only criticism were the so called pretzel bites. Basically tiny bread balls with salt and i was given jalapeno flavored canned cheese as a side with it. Was NOT worth its price. In general concession items way overpriced.

Sometimes there are long lines leaving the parking structure and free parking is limited to 3 hours with validation. Homelessness may be another downside. Just recently solicited for money by homeless guy while lined up for new movie.

The new 4DX is awesome! IMO don't waste your money on the Screen X experience it's not during the whole movie and was distracting. It also bothered me that the seams didn't match in the corners. I would've been really disappointed if I had paid full price for the movie in that one. Popcorn here is always super salty and falls apart easily. Parking is only validated for 4 hours so if your movie is 3 hours, don't come too early and hurry up to get out.

The movie was out of sinc and I lost my headphones in the theater. There is no number to call there is no one to talk to. You are out of luck if anything goes awry here. The projecter needs maintanence but i dont think they own a phone to call for a technician.

Still a decent place. However, structure parking still sucks due to the stalls being so tight. So if you're a local braddah with a big automobile, don't even think of parking in the structure. And as always, concession prices are ridiculous!!!!

Terrific place to see movies with lots of variety and times to choose from. Would be nice if they returned the benches they once had so the elderly or disabled can sit while waiting for family members as they use the restrooms or to see the next movie. At least they still have free parking for 4 hours.

Went there a week ago to watch a movie. This theater used to be our favorite theater but compared to the other theaters on the island this one is outdated. The seats were uncomfortable and the theater smelled really musty. The bathrooms were also in need of renovations. Other than that the workers were polite and the concession hasn't changed.

I used to go to the opening night Of all the Marvel movies here with my mom. She has MS and the theaters with climate control is one of the things she can still do comfortably. We went to opening night of “Avengers Endgame” and the AC was broken. I asked the manager before the movie started why it was so hot, he said “a big crowd was in before and it was still just hot”. Then we found out it was broken from other employees. I asked the manager again he said “ yes it overheated but they are working on it. So we stayed, big mistake. I walked out of the movie about an hour into it to see a manager and he said that it was going to start working soon. It never did. My mom got so sick from the heat and was not well for a few days after as the heat exacerbated her MS. If the just said from the beginning no the ac will be broken for the entire 3 hour film, I would have asked for tickets for when the ac was fixed and went home. We have not gone to any movie anywhere since.

It is certainly not my favorite movie theater but they do tend to have movies that are no longer showing in the other theaters. Most of the theaters are the old format and not that much cheaper than the new ones. So take that into consideration.

Nice theater, overall good experience. But steer clear of one of the employees working at concessions. I believe she might be a manager or something. Her name is Lisa Martinez and she is awful. Rude, unprofessional, and condescending. She made my girlfriend and I feel very uncomfortable as she berated a new employee who was training because he charged us wrong. Then, she took over and proceeded to charge us wrong again! No apology, just demands without any remorse or acknowledgement that she was the reason we were late for our movie. So overall, a great place to watch a movie, just stay away from Lisa Martinez.

I have visited all but one theater on Oahu and this is my favorite. The parking structure is convenient to the theater, spacious and all-weather to keep my whip fresh. I thoroughly enjoy every experience here, which I can’t say for Oahu’s other theaters. There’s a magnificent variety of snacks, including staples like popcorn and hot dogs, but also modern additions like nachos and burgers and even innovative newcomers like mocha ice cream. I love the Consolidated chain but Regal has somehow knocked this one out of the park!

When we entered the theater, the theater was stifling--the air-conditioning was not working. The screen, while showing commercials, was silent. One of the patrons, who arrived before us did walk out and according to them, explained the situation to the customer service desk. No representative followed up with us. The only information came from other patrons walking out to the service desk. It was during the middle of the sixth trailer that the sound was finally restored. When the feature film started the lights in the theater did not go down for the first minute or so. Unfortunately at no time during the feature film did the air-conditioning ever start up. Thankfully the film was engaging enough to forget the stifling warmth.

I really like this theater. It has a huge parking deck and they validate your parking ticket for a four hour period. It has an attached arcade that is fun. The lines for tickets and concessions run pretty quickly, but you can also use the kiosk next to the ticket booth for even faster service.

I believe his name began with a J, perhaps Johnson or Johnston — he deserves recognition. He was incredibly friendly, helpful, and had a great attitude. The Regal Cinemas Dole Cannery was good. If you r planning to go there and go eat after, you should schedule your eating plans and also your movie time. Not a lot of chairs for waiting, I recommend going there 10 minutes before the showing of your choice.

It wasn't worth the extra $$ paid for the premium RPX movie. Compared to the new comfortable searing available in so many theaters, this theater had us crammed in like sardines, rubbing shoulders, elbows, and knees with the strangers beside us. Even in the third row, we were still way too close to the screen. Additionally, the concessions are either under trained, or under manned, because we were waiting way too long for popcorn and drinks. Next time I'm paying extra for a premium movie, I'm going somewhere else.

Nice enough theater complex. Lots of screens available. We were on vacation on Oahu when Avenger's Endgame came out and I saw that this IMAX theater wasn't too far from where we were staying. I was hyped to see this movie on an IMAX screen. BIG disappointment on the screen. I would not consider this an IMAX screen! I've been to several IMAX theaters and this doesn't come close to a true sized IMAX screen.

Nice clean theater. Unfortunately screen 3 was very moldy smelling when we walked in. I hope the other screens weren't as smelly. Parking was easy and included with the ticket. Make sure you keep your ticket for exiting the parking lot.

My favorite theater, mainly because it's not ward. Nothing wrong with ward, but sometimes I just want to go see a movie without having to buy a damn ticket two days in advance to get a decent seat. It’s Sunday of opening weekend for the largest block buster in history and I’ve been in line for 45 minutes for popcorn. The poor folks behind the counter are obviously understaffed for a predictable big day. Theater management is terrible. It’s cheaper then other theaters but you don’t actually get what you were hoping to pay for-which in this case was seeing the first 20 minutes of the movie even though I showed up an hour in advance. Go to Ward theater. This place does not deserve your money .

Saw It Chapter 2 in 4D. It was super cool and will go again. Get the Regal card and you get a discount for 4D. I do recommend if seeing a movie with water, to try avoid wearing glasses if you can or you can turn it off. I had to take mine off several times to wipe the water off but, not a big deal.

I came here to watch the opening night of Avengers Endgame. The atmosphere was great and everyone was really into the movie. Unfortunately the AC want working properly and it was really hot. This coupled with the uncomfortable seating almost made me leave during the movie.

Went to see, "Dark Phoenix" during the Fan Night premiere. Ticketing made sure I got my keychain and concession brought my pizza to me hot. Men's bathroom (in the theater) was clean, just had to wait. The IMAX itself was awesome. Imagining if it were ATMOS with reclining, not tilting, seats and retractable food tray. Then you'd have yourselves five stars.

I went last night to see the new Godzilla and had a great experience. Bought my tickets online, and showed up half an hour early. There was plenty of parking, the lady that scanned my tickets was courteous, the concession stand had a long line, but only took us about 7 minutes to get our food and drink. Godzilla in IMAX 2D was breath taking! The resolution was fantastic and the sound.. Oh my God the sound. It was one of the loudest things I've ever sat through; it was deafening, but in a good way! If you have sensitive ears, you may not have enjoyed it as much as I did, though. I ding a star because this theater needs a face-lift. It doesn't even have reclining seats, the IMAX theaters should be upgraded to have them for a truly awesome movie watching experience. Hard to really enjoy a movie when my butt is sore from the seats half way through. Dole sells some of the priciest movie tickets on the island, they should have the look and luxury to justify those prices. Overall, great movie theater if you plan to see your movie in IMAX or RPX. I would definitely go again.

Honestly, I love Dole Cannery. It's so cheap on Tueadays (cheaper than the other ones at least), if you have T-mobile, most of their tmobile Tuesdays work here along with I think the AT&T carrier.

Great big theater complex, lots of parking, though parking structure could be cleaner. IMAX Theaters are awesome!! Great during Hawaii international Film Festival.

The seats are roughly 30 years old and have felt the abuse of many a rough handling in their time. The staff also isnt overly concerned with customers making their movies on time, and parking is hard to find if you dont already know where to go

Seats weren't that great. Small no recline. Under whelmed for an imax theater. (Moving my review from 2 to 3 stars, because the owner reached out to try get more info / remedy the problem. I was not offered anything to change my review. Just impressed at their diligence.)

Went to watch the J-film Kingdom and I'm so glad that Regal screened it. Looks like they're finally going through renovations with the new recliners so I look forward to coming back. They also sponsor the HIFF which is great.

Why do you not work enough people at concessions especially during big weekends for movies? Took the guy 10 minutes for one order and you guys were closing lines which made no sense

Gave this place another chance since Ward was sold out. Came on a sunday night and it's still a joke!. Waited 1 hour in line for popcorn and missed 30 minutes of the largest block buster movie in history. 3 lines? Management is a joke. Boycott and go to Ward theaters. This place does not deserve your money .

Theatre is fine with stadium seating. Food options are good but you have to wait to the side after placing a hot food order for your food. Leave 20 mins or more if buying hot food or you will miss start of your movie. Parking garage is free with validation but getting to your car after movie takes a while due to elevator limitations. We too the stairs 6 flights and made it to the car before the elevator people made it to our floor. Neighborhood sucks so not a place to hang around after the movie.

The seating is very inconsistent with whether they are broken or very uncomfortable. And the popcorn isn't that good. But the fact that they use atom and the workers are very helpful and plesent make me use this place compared to ward, which is closer for me.

Been here when I was younger went to watch Hobbs & Shaw it was an awesome experience!! Amazing surround sound! The smell of popcorn in the air! GATED PARKING in the building as well really clean and the atmosphere is amazing!! Yes Bathrooms are available! Yes Wheel Chair accessible!!! Anything positive YES!!!!!!

I enjoy this theater quite a bit, outside is a little dated and one of the elevators to the parking garage has been down for some time now, but they do show movies that are harder to find at other places.

We watched the movie"" Shazam"" and really enjoyed watching it on the big screen. The only problem we had? Was ...we didn't know how to get the arm rest down on the chair. Other than dat the surround sound special effects that's was awesome!!.

I would've have given a 4 or possibly 5 star rating but I feel they were very understaffed for spring break week. Only 2 box office cast members and only 2 concession stand cash registers open. We saw Lego Movie 2. The theatre was clean, sound quality was excellent, chairs were in good working order and clean and most importantly I didn't find that the floor was sticky. I love that they have value Tue for $5.99 with your Regal Card Club Card. I will return.

Great Selection of Movies Cool Staff but they need to upgrade thier seating to proper Consolidated Lounge Chair experience. A shame because thier programing is a bit more " Indie" than the other Mainstream Theaters in HN. By the way .... Why doesnt someone oen up a proper " Art House ' Theater here ? Definately have tge interest .....Were not all Marvel Zombies !

Many of us were so disappointed because they cancelled Met HD without notice. Many senior people went there with great difficulty but could not see Met Opera on movie screen. This is not the first time this had happened.
