Here you have the opinions of real people who know the services and products of Landmark\'s Midtown Art Cinema (Movie Theater) in Georgia area.
At present this firm has a rating of 4.4 stars out of 5 and the score is based on 793 reviews.
As you can read, it reaches an feddbacks average is good, and it is based on a very high number of opinions, so we may say that the evaluation is quite accurate. If there are many people who bothered to value when they've done well with the service, it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to place opinions when these are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Movie Theater belongs to the category of Movie theater.
Great location next to several restaurants. Service is friendly and attentive, and it’s very clean. The price is unbeatable, but unfortunately, if you’re watching a movie that just came out, you have to get there early to get good seats.
Look. I get that it's Georgia. But I expect better audience control out of a place that calls itself an arts cinema. Just... Stop talking and making noise. The audience would not stop talking , jeering and laughing throughout the showing of Midsommar. To the point where I had to walk out 20 mins before the end as the audience rolled with juvenile laughter at a disturbing ritual sex scene. Again, I don't fault the theater their audience being immature and rude. But I do fault them for having no enforceable rules regarding etiquette. When I walked out and complained to the attendant, their response was, " that's Georgia". There is no higher recommended art cinema in the metro area, yet it felt like I was watching child's play at a mall outside Macon. We may be the largest city for filming, but we are embarrassingly bad at our appreciation for film. Midtown Arts. Set some rules and enforce them.
Cool staff, laid back atmosphere, good indie movies as well as blockbusters. Not as fancy as Atlantic Station, but great for when you don't want to deal with all that. Also they have beer.
This theatre is so great. It doesn’t pretend to be what it isn’t. It’s charming and functional: which is a great compliment. It shows movies at affordable prices, has decent food and that’s all that’s needed to enjoy a movie. Always great that they allow outfest screenings there too!
This is the best movie theater. It's quintessential.
First off, I love this cinema and I can always count on it to show films that no one else in Atlanta shows ( and they have excellent curated film series ). And yes, as others have mentioned, the screening rooms are on the "vintage" side. However, my BIGGEST COMPLAINT is that the SOUND BLEED IS A HUGE ISSUE. Now, I realize this is an older cinema and that an overhaul to equip all of the rooms with extra acoustical walls/padding is not possible but could the management at least try to adjust the programming to where a marvel style action film isn't playing right next to a quiet art film? Thank you for your time.
Love this small intimate theater. Saw Dunkirk here and felt like I traveled back to a much simpler time. Experience was top notch with a feel of history.
Very excited this place seems like they have all the artsy movies that don’t make it to normal theaters. And they have their own unique program for art films. But the seats are literally so uncomfortable. My boyfriend and I are on the tall side. I could hardly cross my legs because of how close the row seats in front of us are. My butt fell asleep a couple times in every position. a little cramped. The guy in front of me was wearing a hat and it blocked a large percentage of the screen. I feel like nowadays, the stadium seating cuts down on that. the whole place could use a face lift.
Was there for a movie screening. It is cold outside and they had the air conditioner on blowing hard which made it difficult to enjoy myself because I was too cold. I like coming to this theater but maybe some adjustments could be made depending on the season.
Eclectic artsy place. Serves beer
Pre-ordered 4 tickets today, drove 30 minutes only to arrive and find the entire theatre "closed for the night due to unexpected complications". Stood in line for a refund and was told our card would be credited in 2-3 business days NOT including the non-refundable $7.00 service charge. What a disappointment. No explanation, no email warning us in advance that there was a cancellation. Highly frustrated and will not return to this theatre.
Although this theater is a little run-down, I enjoy going here because they always host a lot of special events.
It's an older theater, but each viewing theater is small and intimate. They always have top notch films both new and classic.
Nice little theater. The parking has enough spots in the front and the side of the building. Friendly staff. The theater is small and the screen is small too. But the best part about all that is I feel like I'm close enough to the screen and at the same time able to see the whole picture. And maybe because of that the sound quality is good given the smaller space for the sound to travel to the ears. Seats are not comfortable and that's the only downside here. Great experience overall.
Great movies at a great price!
Cool movie theater off in the cut away from the bigger ones AMC Regal serves drinks too
Love the old school vibe and they always have something unique showing.
Love Landmark forever. Big selection of grown-up beverages including spirits, great mix of arthouse and mainstream flicks. No real food to speak of IIRC. Grab a drink at Independent afterward.
This location shows more independent features than other theaters, which is nice. The popcorn is good. The seats are old and somewhat uncomfortable.
Great location next to several restaurants. Service is friendly and attentive, and it’s very clean. The price is unbeatable, but unfortunately, if you’re watching a movie that just came out, you have to get there early to get good seats.
I'm so grateful for this intown movie theater option in Midtown. No reclining seats here but a great, friendly staff and Wonderful mix of commercial and Indy's.
They have a good selection of movies that are not available elsewhere and at a modest price.
The the cinema wasn't big and the line grows out side if your waiting on a movie well maybe that's if your just waiting to see a popular movie but it was a decent place nothing like the new cinemas now a days just basic but nice
When seeing a movie this venue should always be your first choice. Great staff, snacks and movie options.
It was cozy enough. I didn't appreciate that they had no indoor standing board display for BEALE STREET. It is a must see, btw...
Cheapest cinema in Atlanta! I always go here as a student for new premiers because they're never full and don't have reserved seating
One of my favorite in town art theaters Great folks and Great flics
The film offerings include independent films not offered anywhere else in Atlanta. The staff is professional and accommodating. The only reason not to rate this theater 5 is that it needs renovating.
Whole place smelled like urine...

Small but cozy venue. I didn't buy any of the food in the concession stand. Popular place for film festivals (at least in the past couple years).
Yes, it's older but I like it. It's never too crowded. My movie pass is accepted and I feel like I'm at the movies. Not some person's super luxurious theater room with oversized chairs. Plus they tend to offer movies that are in limited theaters.
Cool staff, laid back atmosphere, good indie movies as well as blockbusters. Not as fancy as Atlantic Station, but great for when you don't want to deal with all that. Also they have beer.
I love this theater. Best in Atlanta. They play mainstream movies and independent movies. So much fun.
Best films and the staff makes you feel like family
Old school theater, great for seeing anything and remembering the classic movie theater experience.
Just a simple old style movie theatre, clean and comfortable. I will go back.
Good place to watch a movie without the crowds. Plus they do Indy movies here
Great customer service. We miss the smaller theater experience, not a lot of them around. They care about their customers. I forgot how the host makes a an introduction in the theater before the movie begins. The price was great for the tickets and at concessions, not breaking the bank. We will definitely be going back.
Seats are very dated (wooden middle school auditorium style) but it is a bit cheaper and convenient. Usually have the up to date movies but not always. Very convenient with the bars and restaurants next door.
It’s a convenient location just a couple of blocks from Piedmont Park. The mall is a little dated and so is the theater, but they do you have everything that you want here. There are a lot of screens, the rooms aren’t large (that’s nice!), and service was fast. It doesn’t compare to the shiny and oversized theaters in the suburbs, but then again, here you’ll find the Oscar winning movies alongside really well-curated films. This is also the place you want to go if you want the classics on a large screen, or miss the art house films, and see other great movies that don’t make it to the cookie-cutter theaters in the suburbs.
Cool theater, where you can see independent films.
Very cool spot, they show awesome indie flicks you won't see elsewhere
I like this theater and the movie selections. Not crazy about the concessions or the money saving efforts(buy your tickets at the concession stands, fandango movie times aren't necessarily correct because they don't work with fandango, etc). But whatever it takes to keep them in business. I quieter, more mature movie going experience
The Landmark was the backdrop for #FaceLessShadows #TheMovie #RedCarpet
Really cool area and lovely little art theater. Very creative and artsy space. Appreciated that I could view a movie here that I was dying to see but the main cinemas didn't show. Love the vibe. Good area to mingle with creative minds and Hollywood types.
Chairs were extremely uncomfortable, neck and back hurt later. Otherwise it's good. Was clean, well staffed, good parking lot and in a nice location overall.
Horrible theater food. Dusty and flaky paint. Decor from the 50's was a good throwback.
Metron, led by Jim Swilley is located there. Metron is a spiritual journey with an insightful look at all things religious, without the trappings and constraints of religeon.
My sons and I go here ...great price and food...right by park
Beautiful small theater. If you’re a college student in the Atlanta area, I suggest you go to this theater because it’s the cheapest you’ll find less than 30 minutes outside the city. This theater also has college nights where tickets are discounted with a valid college ID. I also love its location because there are plenty of restaurants to eat at before or after viewing a film. The bathrooms are kept very clean and the concession stand has fair prices.
Great customer service. We miss the smaller theater experience, not a lot of them around. They care about their customers. I forgot how the host makes a an introduction in the theater before the movie begins. The price was great for the tickets and at concessions, not breaking the bank. We will definitely be going back.
This theater was very nostalgic for me. It reminded me of the small theaters I went to as a child. Free refills on drinks and they do serve alcohol. Customer service was excellent.
Seats are very dated (wooden middle school auditorium style) but it is a bit cheaper and convenient. Usually have the up to date movies but not always. Very convenient with the bars and restaurants next door.
Great small, neighborhood movie theater, with art films, foreign films , independent films. Great wine and gourmet snacks
Extra points for a good concession stand with good beer, artsy and sometimes older movies. The theaters could use a refresh.
Has the best selections of provocative and thought producing films in Atlanta. Supports the independent film community.
You won't think much of this little theatre, it looks a bit run down and shabby. But, the sound quality is SUPERB. Never heard better sound in a movie theatre. I come here for every movie because of that. It sounds like you're THERE. I was watching a scary movie and there was a knock at the door, I thought someone was knocking on the emergency exit, it sounded 100 percent real. The seating is not stadium, but it is sloped, so you won't have to worry about people's heads too much. The cup holders are in FRONT of you, not on the armrests. Don't make the mistake I did and hold your cup the whole movie because you couldn't find the cup holder. All the staff is friendly, happy, and pleasant. I'm always impressed by them. They're not like every other theatre where everyone acts like it's just a job. They have online ticketing, with kiosks to print. Parking is free, easy, and plentiful. Never had issues with parking. Best theatre I've been to in Atlanta.
I this movie theatre because the place is huge and spacious. The food court not expensive to get popcorn and drinks. Best part it is safe area.
They need Staff. The skeleton crew thay have are Great people, very friendly, patient and helpful. But with limited staff there are cleanliness issues here and that's a problem.
The first time that l went here l thought that it was super cool. The movie theater was not crowded and it's a small quaint theater. However, the second time, I bought 2 tickets to a black produced movie and was given one ticket for that movie and one ticket for a white produced movie - which I didn't notice until a few weeks later. Secondly... the movie theater was very crowded and that's when I noticed that since the seating is one level, that it is very hard to see over other people's heads...so unless the movie theater is not crowded, I wouldn't recommend it and double check your tickets to make sure that the movies that you're seeing are the ones getting the credit!!
Very nice intimate neighborhood theater.
A great little theater with normal concession offerings as well as beer and wine options. They show a lot of indie films and indie film premieres. The premiere shows are often followed by a Q and A with the director and cast members.
Love this movie theater. Such a cool atmosphere. They also sale really nice IPA beer
Love ballet cinema.
Doesn't look like there have been any renovations or upgrades since the late 80's. But nevermind that, notice how they force ticket purchases at concessions, or how how small drink is $5 and popcorn is $7 on top on the low quality theater experience. I'd be okay with this place if I got what I paid for at the very least.
Theater was a little smelly/musty. Sound was great. Went mid-week first show and it was quiet. Plenty of parking. Some cool looking eateries to try next time.
The theater is always full, and it makes for a great movie going experience.

Went there to see our granddaughter performance,IT WAS GREAT!!!!
Sean the manager was extremely rude when my boyfriend and I were trying to find my phone that we misplaced on the lobby when no one was around except staff. The manager refused to help us, and directed us to call the police and to file a report. Seconds later a woman grabbed our attention as she had my phone. The manager was unwilling to help and rude as we were extremely calm and polite to him. Not sure why he doesn’t have proper customer service training.
so glad this place exist. we lost the one in bulkhead. this really cool indie theater now is some clothing store now... the staff here is nice and diverse. a bit pricey on the snacks but it helps keep this unique place up so pay people.. it's okay
Cool place to see independent films. Very nice management & great venue to host screenings. $7 popcorn will always be a miss for me, but hey, that's showbusiness.
I love Landmark's Midtown Cinema because it shows a lot of diverse movies, particularly art movies, that you won't find in other theaters. They serve wine, which is uncommon in most theaters. In addition, the theater is located next to Apres Diem, one of my favorite restaurants. So a movie and dinner are always a nice experience.
Affordable ticket prices, no-frills cinema with solid mainstream and art movie options! If you're someone like me who goes to a theater for a good movie and the smell of popcorn - then this is your place. Plenty of parking and food/drink options around for before/after the movie date.
The best theater in town. Enjoy a beer with your movie - middle of the day on a weekday is best!
Very cool art theater. Seats are a bit tight in relation to the ones in the Big Box cinemas of today. But the quality of the films is SO much better.
Sticky floors and seats that smell like sweet flat beer.
Kind staff, clean theater, cozy atmosphere
Good theater, not up to the best standards, but in the best location possible! Went and saw Suspiria and I could hear Bohemian Rhapsody through the walls in the silent scenes (which were ample)... but good theater.

thanks landmark we had a movie PREMIER here staff was so nice!! sisters and the shrink coming to the CW fall 2019
so glad this place exist. we lost the one in bulkhead. this really cool indie theater now is some clothing store now... the staff here is nice and diverse. a bit pricey on the snacks but it helps keep this unique place up so pay people.. it's okay
Small so not big crowds. Reasonable prices for tickets and foof
This is a great place to watch new and old movies. The location is also perfect for a casual hang out since there’s a couple of restaurants/bar outside the movie theatre. The overall experience is just amazing
Great intown cinema showing independent, art house and mainstream films.
My favorite theatre!
Excellent movies, a snack bar with beer and wine and great staff. The seats aren't super comfortable for a long movie, but that's the only drawback
Cool place to see independent films. Very nice management & great venue to host screenings. $7 popcorn will always be a miss for me, but hey, that's showbusiness.
I love this place. Always friendly, clean and they have beer!
Good experience! Didn't realize they serve alcohol. Enjoyed a couple of drinks before the movie.
Very comfortable great sound system

It was comfortable clean. At the time we went very few people in the theater
Never long lines! We love going to our local theatre, and being greeted at the door every time!
When I lived in Atlanta I loved the various Indie films that would pop up at this cinema. It's clean and has plenty of parking, which is a huge plus given it's basically in the city.
Theater smells like pee, dirty carpet and mold. Overpriced for basic seats. The whole place smelled mildew-. I won’t be back and I’m assuming the 4.4 stars are from employees and friends.
Landmark is located across from a high school, Grady. I can just imagine the hoards of kids who might walk across here during lunch break or after school to watch a cheap film alone, watch a movie with friends, or "watch" a movie with a "special" friend, and I can only imagine for how long - it appears from the kitschy interior reminiscent of the 1950s, that it has been around for ages. I went to watch Queen, and since it's been a while since the film premiered, I honestly thought I would be the only one in the entire room. Surprisingly, I wasn't, so I was careful not to disturb the other patrons as I was late and stumbled in the dark to find a seat. It's a lovely cinema, truly artsy as the name suggests. It is old and the floors are dirty, the restrooms look like they belong in a movie maybe a comedy or a horror film, but I wouldn't rather have been at Regal or AMC or any other movie place. Imagine Helena Bonham Carter in Fight Club; it's like her: her beauty and talent coupled with the appearance of not having showered in a few weeks give or take. Oh, and they have friendly staff members. Definitely go. And do so often. I'm hopefully going to start going more often. And as for the kids at Grady, if you're not taking advantage of the lovely jem you have across the road at least once in a while, then what a waste. This is a great place to see movies whether they are currently box office hits, extremely old (they show classics), or indie (they show independent films as well). I'm really glad I found out about this place. You can buy tickets for here on the Atom app (like I did) or just walk in and purchase I guess. I think the cinema also has a text thing, so you know what upcoming movies they're expecting. And they serve freaking alcohol! But I couldn't get any; I'm only 20:(
Affordable ticket prices, no-frills cinema with solid mainstream and art movie options! If you're someone like me who goes to a theater for a good movie and the smell of popcorn - then this is your place. Plenty of parking and food/drink options around for before/after the movie date.
Loved how it's a hidden Gem, you get the best seats here since not too many ppl know abt it. I'll definitely be back
Went to go see Avengers Endgame. The facility was clean including the bathrooms which is a plus with any theater. I love that they hire special needs persons who love doing their job and helping patrons. 5 Stars all around!
This is a great place to watch movies if you want a nice smaller feel. They play more independent and foreign films as well as the big blockbusters. Another plus is the ample parking. Great place all around!
Awesome location, great selection of big name blockbusters and festival circuit movies thrown in there. They serve alcohol. The layout allows the theatre to accommodate for release crowds and the outdoor courtyard makes it the perfect place to come out of a mind blowing movie ready to compare notes with your friend.
This is my favorite theater in ITP. They actually make the prices in both the tickets & concessions not a highway robbery. Plus, it’s never packed, highly recommend this theater. Side note: great bars/restaurants/novelty shoppes around that won’t kill the pocket either.
cool beer selection, fine choice of main stream & indie films/ docs.
Lovely cinema. Small and has a good mix of current big releases, indie releases, and special releases of classics and favorites. Havent had a chance to Check out concessions yet. Matinee of Howl's Moving Castle was $9 so that alone is 5 stars from me :D
Small theater with cheap tickets. Parking lot is usually packed and the theater isn't the cleanest but the employees are nice and it's close to home.
Loved how it's a hidden Gem, you get the best seats here since not too many ppl know abt it. I'll definitely be back
I have frequented Landmark many times since moving back to Atlanta in 2012 and always enjoyed movies here...until tonight. While I appreciate the old school "feel" and much prefer a low key theater setting, this evening was a disappointment, over all. A much anticipated viewing of A Star is Born, for mother/daughter movie time, was dampered first by less than fresh popcorn and then worsened by the terrible lack of sound in theater 5! For a film rooted around the music biz....SOUND is very important. Check the speakers please. Still gave 3 stars...cause the ticket price is decent and location, with easy in and out, cant be beat.
Went to go see Avengers Endgame. The facility was clean including the bathrooms which is a plus with any theater. I love that they hire special needs persons who love doing their job and helping patrons. 5 Stars all around!
Nice quaint little shops seating could be better for lounging around outside it can get a little congested
It's the last theater in town that screens Hollywood blockbusters as well as foreign and indie films. Although the auditoriums are a bit outdated, they're still comfortable enough. Usual concession stand fare plus variety of beverages for 21+.
Great spot to catch both independent films and a couple blockbusters. They also regularly have older films that they will show. The theaters are small and not super sound proofed to the theaters around it, bit it's hardly noticeable besides quiet moments of your film and loud moments of the films around you. I would definitely recommend dropping in for a flick, and don't forget to grab some popcorn!
Cool little cult theatre, close to home. The atmosphere is fun, but don't expect reclining seats, or all that high tech stuff you see at modern theatres. Ticket process are fair for ATL, and so are concessions, about on apr with others.
We got a really good parking space!
Great selection of films and fresh popcorn
Movie selection and great staff not to mention convenient.
This is a great place to watch movies if you want a nice smaller feel. They play more independent and foreign films as well as the big blockbusters. Another plus is the ample parking. Great place all around!
Very clean and staff was polite and helpful. Great prices.
Enjoyed the Movie Shaft immensely!
This theater is my go-to. Super friendly staff and decent movie prices. Just wish they had a loyalty and/or movie program like Regal and AMC. Oh and it's important to note that you can sometimes hear another movie through the wall, but it's not that annoying.
I recently rented a screen here to play video games on the big screen for my friend's bachelor party. Though there was initially a bit of confusion on the scheduling front, the staff worked together to rectify the error quickly and the night was a huge success. Not only was I impressed with the staff, but the entire experience was both affordable and a lot of fun; more people ought to take advantage of the screen rental opportunity here! A special thank you to Stephen, who organizes the rentals--he got everything set up in a flash so that we were able to maximize our play time without worrying about the details. Thanks!
I like this place. It’s nothing fancy but that’s what I like about it. Ticket prices are cheaper than big movie theaters and the concession stands has plenty of offerings. They have a unique lineup of movies that strikes a balance between blockbusters and independent film. The only downside is that if you decide to watch one of those blockbuster movies, this theater seems to really attract swarms of annoying kids that don’t shut up during the movie, especially during daytime showings. Independent films don’t seem to have that issue, naturally. I’ll give it a try a couple more times, but if this continues to be a problem, I’m switching to more premium options at places like Phipps AMC where kids don’t frequent.
I went to see The Last Black Man In San Frnacisco at this theater because it is only showing herr and at Phipps Plaza in all of Atlanta. We missed the first 15 minutes due to traffic. I was ordering food at the concession stand but canceled my order when I noticed the hot dog was in plastic and about to be nuked in the microwave. Nope that wasn't worth $5. We decided to go to the next show and requested a refund/exchange. Upon return to the theater we sat doen in our seats. Ok small and intimate. I can dig that. Old style seating ok I expected that. What I did not expect was the smell of the place. It smelled like it was damp and mildewy. The scent was very strong. At times I had to cover my nose. I'm glad I didn't buy food. The carpet was worn and funky as well. I kind of expected more considering the neighborhood. I enjoyed the movie and the patrons but it was hard to to concentrate when I could hear all of RocketMan music being played through the walls at the screening next to us. This theater is clearly a neighborhood gem for those that live there and do not expect thrills. The staff is very charming and polite especially the ticket taker. Hopefully some funding will come their way soon for some updates. I would hate to see this place close.
Saw all of the new Star Wars here, big fan of their events.... Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me was amazing in the theater. Also the person who comes out and greets the audience before movies is great.

Filthy outdated theater, needs to be renovated.
One of the best places in Atlanta to see both new and classic films with limited distribution ( art, foreign, specialty, festivals, etc.) Dedicated restroom for physically challenged patrons, allowing care givers to accompany them. Some alcohol available at concessions.
Love this theatre. It’s in my neighborhood and an enjoyable space to see movies from local creators and major films ! Close to good food and bars as well.
Landmark Theater is the best kept secret for movie you want normally see at other theaters.
A lovely neighborhood theater with an eclectic art movie vibe. It mixes niche films with blockbusters. Everyone would be happier with one in walking distance.
cool beer selection, fine choice of main stream & indie films/ docs.
Cute renovated cinema. Due to size there is a smaller selection of movies but everything we have seen has been great. Such a cool landmark on the area.
Nothing fancy, just an older theater experience that focuses more on movies and being chill than cranking out what is most popular and profitable. There are specific movies that are better experienced here than on the big screen. With that said, since the theaters are. It too big, you can actually sit relatively close to the screen without arching the head too much and really experience a big screen. BONUS: at some showings, right before the movies starts, one of the employees welcomes you and tells you a little about the theater and special screenings they may have coming up, and he will do some of it in English, Korean, Japanese, and Chinese. It is sweet, and it gives a lot of heart to this place
