This Movie Theater is classified in the category of Movie theater.
Loved the place, saw Tommy there and watched the Room. Best time ever, would definitely go back.
favorite place to see a movie in the city. love to descend into the lower level to enter :)
They have great movies that never make it to the major chains
Nice ambience... great movies
A fantastic comfortable theater that shows better quality films, in a great location with good coffee and muffins. Wednesday's discount all day is a great bargain.
Love catching some of the smaller indie films here. Glad to have a theater like this in the city.
Unusual,indie and foreigns movies
No-frills theater associated with Landmark Theaters. Staff are great, and rooms are always clean. The midnight madness events on Fridays are definitely worth checking out!
My favorite place to see a movie, especially if it is made by Sony Pictures Classic! While I can appreciate the giant mega-plex, there is just something about these smaller theaters and the fantastic movies they show. love it!
I enjoyed the movie I saw; and appreciated the cup of "free" ice the concession stand man gave me so I wouldn't be thirsty. He deserves a raise.
Great theatre. Good service. Always plays solid flicks, usually pretty clean. Doesn't get too crowded usually unless specific stuff. Runs midnight movies too that are fun, cult stuff like Rocky horror or Miyazaki stuff. Saw Princess Mononoke there and it was great, one of my favorite times in the theatre.
Cool and quaint place to watch indie movies. The neighborhood is very safe and has a lot to offer!
I absolutely love this little theatre located on 4th street in Philadelphia and I was very pleased that it was playing the stunning film, Vita & Virginia. The theatre is is next to a parking garage, metered street parking. eateries and very close to New Jersey, The theatre has an elevator to go down to the 2nd floor, concession stand and large restrooms. The seats are comfortable. A+ Arthouse movie theatre.
Great venue with excellent movie selection! It's well run and the staff is great. The location is odd but in great proximity to Center City.
One of the three original Ritz "Old City" theater's. You won't find your box office smash hits here unless it's a foreign or independent film. It has a pleasant and courteous staff. Always fresh popcorn is available. The audience is polite and do not use cell phones adding to the viewing experience.
Fantastic. Was here for the screening of the movie 'KIN' and met Jonathan and Josh Baker. This is a really cool place.
Nice enough place but how do they make money? I've never seen more twenty people at a time in there.
I've been going to The Ritz Theater's for 24 years
Great popcorn & great films. The Ritz theaters are the go-to source for independent movies in Philadelphia. Now w/ moviepass eticketing!
It has well priced indie movies and sweet special midnight showings. Staff are also both polite and fun to interact with.
My husband and I were here to watch a movie two years ago. The movie we were watching all of a sudden stopped. The manager gave us two tickets to return. Unfortunately, we did not get there soon enough since we live an hour away, had a baby, and life just happened. Anywho, I called to see if they'll still honor our tickets... they did! Thank you so much for having us back. Kudos to Bill who enabled us to have a date night, great parking at the Bourse, and delicious popcorn! We'll definitely come back! Hopefully, soon and not in two years ^_^
Loved the place, saw Tommy there and watched the Room. Best time ever, would definitely go back.
Nice theater. Comfortable seating

Reasonable priced, keep an eye out for your kind of movies.
Great place to see great movies.
Awful
Been here twice to see two different documentaries with exclusive screenings. Nice intimate theater experience.
Love catching some of the smaller indie films here. Glad to have a theater like this in the city.
Love the Ritz group. All the good independent movies.
Possibly the nicest theater in the area. Try an Italian soda!
They offer a variety of independent films as well as one of the hosts of the Philadelphia Film festivals and sneak previews from various distributor. They offer vouched parking at to nearby locations It is also located nearby some excellent restaurants if you want to have a meal or snack after the show

Great indie theater with attached parking garage. Get your parking verified when you buy your movie ticket to get reasonably priced, safe, low hassle parking. The theater itself is what you would expect and includes a snack bar stocked with the usual plus coffee and baked goods. The small lobby provides a few tables and chairs where you can peruse the many flyers and pamphlets announcing community activities mostly related to film and the arts. Overall the theater is clean and quiet, but it's biggest draw is their choice of films, which includes picks you can't see anywhere else in the area.
It is a great little indie/artsy cinema, the popcorn is one of the best I've eaten, great experience overall.
My favorite place to see a movie, especially if it is made by Sony Pictures Classic! While I can appreciate the giant mega-plex, there is just something about these smaller theaters and the fantastic movies they show. love it!
Love The Ritz theaters in Olde City, they play classics and have great coffee!
Staff is always remarkably friendly, theatre is tidy and they have great movies there.
Little gem of a movie theater that shows small release films you won’t see in bigger theaters
Nice place to go to see
Caters to indie films, bless them. Friendly staff. Powder white cheddar for my popcorn.
They have good movies. Accept credit cards at the snack bar.
Since moving to Philly I've been to this theater twice in a month. They have some great independent films playing and reasonably priced! $7.00- 7.75 on week days and day time. I will keep going back for sure!
Great independent Movie Theater!
Cool and quaint place to watch indie movies. The neighborhood is very safe and has a lot to offer!
Love the entire theater....coffee is decent and reasonable...saw IDA there...it went on to win Oscar for foreign (polish) film. Also loved "our little sister" (japanese) what a treasure that was! A yr ago I saw an Iranian film. I love this place! Admission is same as in my Bucks County neighborhood malls....seniors are $7.00, train from suburbs is $1.00 one way. Short walk from Jefferson station to 4th and market! Have lunch at the Bourse!! Food court! Something for everyone!! Delish!
Love this theatre. Good clean safe reasonable. Foreign independent films in Philadelphia.
Great venue with excellent movie selection! It's well run and the staff is great. The location is odd but in great proximity to Center City.
This is where you go to remember how to enjoy a proper film.
Great place to see a movie. Very reasonably priced
Love the movies. Art cinema. Wish they showed more blockbusters

A completely different experience than most movie theaters I've been to extremely friendly and personal staff thank you for the experience
Fantastic. Was here for the screening of the movie 'KIN' and met Jonathan and Josh Baker. This is a really cool place.
Really wonderful independent movie theater!
Really cool historical theater.
Luv luv this movie theater one of the best in downtown Philly everyone is sooooooo damn sweet and nice a must to check out for independence films.
Enjoyed the movie, found the chocolate muffin tasty, and the seats were comfortable.
The Ritz is great. I love the fact that they primarily screen underground, obscure, and independent films that you would never see at mainstream theaters.
Had a great time! Received free tix to a screening of "The Book Club", which was hilarious, also touching. Nice seats and delicious popcorn.
Easily accessible. 1 block away from liberty bell
It's a quaint little theater with a wonderful hospitable staff. My only complaint is the seats were really hard to sit in. They were comfortable but leaned back and had no way to keep it from happening. it really put a strain on my neck and my bility to be comfortable throughout the movie.
On site parking garage, ticket validation for the garage, nice theaters. Popcorn was great but can not recommend the nachos. Went to a midnight movie and had a great experience and will be coming back.
Love this theater, absolutely one of my favorites. Great indie movie selection, always very clean and a friendly staff. Tickets and concessions are not as expensive as more mainstream theaters. And now they show a different midnight movie every weekend!
Always fun to see special event movies in this theatre. Very nice staff. Awesome space. Huge screens.
AARP uses the Landmark for a lot of their free movies for grown ups.
Needs to be updated but otherwise great theater, maybe a little slow and later the potential buyout at Landmark Theaters. Always enjoy our times to go see the more eclectic films there.
It was a really aesthetically pleasing place. The seats were comfortable and the screen was nice. The popcorn was also good. Overall it was a good experience and I recommend checking out the Bourse if you can, you're sure to see a unique film.
An old school movie house. Love the atmosphere and friendly staff. It was a great place to see The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Lots of fun.
Love the selection of movies here. Indie and foreign films.
Great place to watch movies at a lower price. Theaters were clean and there's a snack and drink bar. The sound systems are also really good.
While I’ve never made going to the movies a weekly practice as some are wont to do, when there’s something I REALLY want to see, I usually end up going to the Ritz; most often this location. The screening rooms are always clean, sound and visual quality spot-on, and staff never disappoints. I most fondly recall seeing “Lady Bird” there on my birthday (on its last night in that theater) and having the whole room pretty much to myself! They mostly feature independent movies and are the home base to a monthly midnight screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show every third Friday, as well as midnight screenings of other cult classics such as “The Room” and various anime films (Howl’s Moving Castle, Princess Mononoke, etc.). I always look forward to seeing what’s playing at the Ritz Bourse!
Very intimate experience and parking next door. Popcorn is top notch.
Had a great time! Received free tix to a screening of "The Book Club", which was hilarious, also touching. Nice seats and delicious popcorn.
Cheap student tickets, cool independent films, plus they had a great Oscars selection including all the nominated short films
Easily accessible. 1 block away from liberty bell
Medium-sized projection rooms, medium selection, decent seats. Quick service, no lines. Satisfactory.

Great place, very happy to have it around. I try to go every now and again
Always fun to see special event movies in this theatre. Very nice staff. Awesome space. Huge screens.
You go downstairs for the tickets and the theaters. Clean restroom, but not well laid out. (Towels and sinks make a bottleneck.)

Love catching indie films here.
The Ritz theatres are the only theatres in Philly that offer limited-release movies, which are often the best movies currently available. And they're never crowded. Now, if only they would only put in the cushy, recliner chairs!
An old school movie house. Love the atmosphere and friendly staff. It was a great place to see The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Lots of fun.
Love the selection of movies here. Indie and foreign films.

Good indie movies, but it does need a face lift!
The space was clean and well staffed but a little worn & torn. Helpful, cheerful staff.
Used to be great when it opened but prices went up and quality went down over time.
Excellent venue for Rocky Horror!
Another of the three downtown Ritz theaters, this one features very eclectic independent films on it's five screens including one very large auditorium. No cell coverage in the smaller theaters is a plus
Very intimate experience and parking next door. Popcorn is top notch.
Good stuff yeah
They have muffins and coffee so that is good. Its just expensive
Not bad,,can get crowded
Very neat and pristine, elegant theater. The staff is friendly and personable while maintaining a level of professionalism that lets you know they take their jobs seriously. They have monthly live shows of Rocky Horror Picture Show that brings me out every month, and their selection of movies range from new and exciting to cult classic! I have a great time everytime I'm here.
Still the best for art house film's, clean and quiet there's always something worth watching.
This is what a movie theater should look like. Thoroughly enjoyed myself.
Movies are interesting; threater is nicely done
An old movie theater that needs an update on their seats. But plays a great selection of movies. Five stars for their movies but a one star on their seats so Three Stars overall!
We always appreciate the quality of the films, the selection of concessions and the mature atmosphere that Landmark / Ritz theaters offer.
I feel like the bourse is a hidden gem in old city. This theater is awesome.
I saw I, Tonya here and I'm happy to report that in a world where talking and checking your phone in the movie theater seems to be the norm, the packed theater I sat in was respectfully silent during the film. So, I just found my new favorite place to see a movie! Comfy reclining seats too :)
Little run down but a great little theater
The large auditoriums are state of the art in projection and sound. The rows are comfortably separated. The film choices are for the discerning theater goer. ITS AN ART HOUSE, FOR GOD’S SAKE!!!
Great place to see vintage movies and indie films. Concession stand uses real butter for your popcorn too!
This may be my favorite of the indie movie theaters in Philly. I love how you enter in and are transported downstairs via escalator. It’s clean, quiet, and the movie rooms are just right.
Excellent theatre. Nice friendly service good concessions and clean restrooms all made this a great place.
Not bad,,can get crowded
Had a great time at my first rocky horror live show, it was absolutely worth the midnight showing. Would love to come again. Hecklers are top rate!
Recently saw Call Me By Your Name here. It’s a low-key theater with a relaxed atmosphere. Friendly staff, clean lobby and theaters, and they have coffee, tea, and pastries in addition to the usual theater food. It’s rarely overly busy, which is what I like about it - you can slip away from the bustle of a busy city for a few hours at the Ritz.
Great place to see foreign and independent movies
Small theater but I was quite comfortable.
Still the best for art house film's, clean and quiet there's always something worth watching.
Movies are interesting; threater is nicely done
Nice small theater conveniently attached to parking garage
The film Quest was excellent and it was wonderful to meet the family!!!
They do Rocky Horror nights once a month here for only $10. They usually sell out, so get tickets ahead of time. They do a different preshow to old movies and other things. And they show more drama, B-level, and older movies. Also movies that have left other theaters then play here. They serve expensive popcorn and such snacks. They have an escalator down to the bigger theater.
Good selection of independent film

Very adorable movie theater limited food has coffee very friendly
I love the extraordinary movies at Landmark theaters in Philadelphia. But I think it's time for the seats in the Ritz at the Bourse to be updated!
Weird theater, definitely a hole in the wall, great service though. Did not validate the parking
I'm glad the Ritz are here in Philly because the movies they show stimulate thought
Nice and very little people
Ceiling was leaking and we were getting dripped while we watched the movie. Many chairs were broken, covered with out of order signs. This place needs an upgrade. Very disappointing.
Cool place to see Indy movies
Little run down but a great little theater
Smaller veiwing theater, but great, clean, fun venue. Popcorn was extra buttery ...
The large auditoriums are state of the art in projection and sound. The rows are comfortably separated. The film choices are for the discerning theater goer. ITS AN ART HOUSE, FOR GOD’S SAKE!!!
Decent concession stand, cozy screening rooms. Not a lot of height difference between rows, though.
Amazing movie theater movie selection all random Independence films that are playing at every other movie theater friendly atmosphere and affordable moving
Awesome place to see a film
BRO WHAT DO U MEAN I CANT VAPE IN HERE
Very cute movie theater nice staff
Movies you won't find anywhere else locally. Parking in the same building, good food and drink selections, seats that lean easy back. I like this place.
good place to watch movies
This may be my favorite of the indie movie theaters in Philly. I love how you enter in and are transported downstairs via escalator. It’s clean, quiet, and the movie rooms are just right.
Excellent theatre. Nice friendly service good concessions and clean restrooms all made this a great place.
Such an excellent variety of films screened nowhere else, good parking deal, and fun Midnight Movies on Fridays.
Great independent film venue, best programming in Philadelphia along with the Bryn Mawr film institute.
Clean, pleasant staff and first rate films!
The theater was in the basement of a large building. Clean but small. The movie was good. No complaints.
I had a good time singing with my family
Comfy, great films and great popcorn!
I love this theatre. Definitely my favourite place to see a film. They have the important and great films that aren't "playing everywhere".
The concession stand has passed it's heyday, but the theater is still the best around for showing interesting Indy and cult films. Don't forget to get your parking ticket validated for $4 off the garage bill.
Nice small movie house with convenient parking.
Good theatre nice seats and good sound.
This little theatre I enjoy because of the rare movies they show but I don't like the price they charge for popcorn.
Seats are comfortable. The area is intimate. Crowd was tasteful.
Very nice movie location! It was a very pleasant experience.
The staff is incredibly friendly. Great selection of films. I absolutely love the layout of the building. It just adds to the experience.
After the sales window closes, there is no one upstairs. Anyone van walk in off the street. No safety precautions are in place, phone or security officers or police patrolling the area. I was there over 2 hrs watching a movie. I had to use the restroom and.noticed these things. I won't go back.
A rare jewel among theatres today. Clean, classy, upscale without pretensions, this friendly theatre shows hard to find movies, more to the fringe of genres. Awesome as always!
Theater is nice just a lil small
Love all of the Ritz theaters. Real butter on the movie kernels and superior cinema to UA and the rest.
This is the place to go for obscure or older movies. Loved it. Super retro.
Really nice friendly staff I just couldn't find parking
Good for indie and foreign films.
The theater was in the basement of a large building. Clean but small. The movie was good. No complaints.
I had a good time singing with my family
If you have a chance please come to the Ritz at the Bourse to see a movie. Classic old world Philadelphia experience
I have going there for years. Comfortable theater and quality concessions.
Comfy, great films and great popcorn!
The best for alternative films. The only challenge is parking.
Love the Ritz theaters & all they offer!
Always a fun time at this place!
I love this theatre. Definitely my favourite place to see a film. They have the important and great films that aren't "playing everywhere".
It is rare to find a film playing at any Ritz theater that is not excellent. The theater draws film buffs, and deservedly so.
Come and see Philly's own TNP Every 3rd Friday for the Rocky Horror Picture Show Midnight! @ Ritz at the Bourse.
I've been going to the Ritz Five since the '70s, and to Ritz At The Bourse and Ritz East since they opened. You always have a unique viewing experience with the indie and foreign films that you can't see anywhere else. Almost all of the films are outstanding. The staff are courteous and helpful.
The concession stand has passed it's heyday, but the theater is still the best around for showing interesting Indy and cult films. Don't forget to get your parking ticket validated for $4 off the garage bill.
Nice small movie house with convenient parking.
Awesome place, easy to get to on SEPTA. Nice, easy walk from 5th street station on the Market Frankford Line.
As a building / theater complex, it's just adequate. Great films make up for that.
Always have a great selection of movies.
Good theatre nice seats and good sound.
This little theatre I enjoy because of the rare movies they show but I don't like the price they charge for popcorn.
Great place to see newly released films
Clean, large screen, and good sound.
Seats are comfortable. The area is intimate. Crowd was tasteful.
Very nice movie location! It was a very pleasant experience.
The staff is incredibly friendly. Great selection of films. I absolutely love the layout of the building. It just adds to the experience.
Good selection of movies, clean, sharp image and sound
Favorite for movies
Great place! Great movies! Great food!
Very clean very good popcorn and love when they have screenings there
One of my favorite places to see thought provoking movies
After the sales window closes, there is no one upstairs. Anyone van walk in off the street. No safety precautions are in place, phone or security officers or police patrolling the area. I was there over 2 hrs watching a movie. I had to use the restroom and.noticed these things. I won't go back.
I have been to the Ritz Bourse many times over the years. the three Ritz Theaters downtown are part of the Landmark Theaters chain, owned by kazillionaire Mark Cuban. Amgong the three, the Bourse has always been my favorite. Because the escalator you take to below street level to see movies gives the place character. The theater is always clean, including the bathrooms. Everyone from the box office attendant to the concession workers (always two or three people) are always pleasant. Not necessarily big toothy grins pleasant, but pleasant enough. Speaking of the concession stand, besides the common theater concession stand candies, they have teas (Lemon Ginger is my favorite) and coffee, scones and or muffins on hand. The popcorn with real butter is always a treat compared to the big chain's stuff they pass off as butter. The screens are medium size and no 3D versions of films are shown. This may turn some folks off, but a shift in perspective allows this to provide an intimate viewing experience. Most of the films shown will not be wide release or blockbuster type action movies. Many are also from other countries, in English subtitles. But fortunately, this is not the majority of films shown most times. Me and my girl love Asian cop dramas and action films. So we have gotten used to reading subtitles. It's an acquired taste though. Parking can be challenging and there is a mult-level parking garage right next door. Ask the box office attendant for a parking voucher. She will put a bar code sticker on your ticket, allowing for a $3.00 discount to $7.00. We always have good experiences at The Bourse. P.S. When getting popcorn, say "layer it" and the concession worker will put butter in the middle of the bag, fill it and put another layer of butter on it. Yum. People with heart or high cholesterol conditions perhaps should ignore this tip. :-)
Theater was under a parking garage, which was kinda weird. Staff was nice, place was clean but it felt weird. Seats were nice but the screens were not huge. Only 4 theaters.
I love all the Ritz theaters! The prices, staff, and movies are great! Most of my top epic movies of all time has been shown @ the Ritz. Please silence all cell phones
A rare jewel among theatres today. Clean, classy, upscale without pretensions, this friendly theatre shows hard to find movies, more to the fringe of genres. Awesome as always!
