We have the opinions of real people who are using the products of Seymour Cinemas 12 (Movie Theater) in Connecticut.
Currently this firm gets a rating of 4.0 stars out of 5 and this score is based on 474 reviews.
As you can see the average score it has is good, and it's founded on a very high number of feddbacks, so we may conclude that the assessment is quite reliable. If people have bothered to leave their score when they are pleased with the business, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to put feddbacks when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Movie Theater is classified in the category of Movie theater.
My boyfriend and I go every Tuesday pretty much with my 13 year old son. It's a nice little neighborhood cinema without all the hangouts of the mall theaters. The seats were upgraded as was the picture. But the sound quality is hit or miss. One of the theaters had the blower turn on quite a few times and made it hard to hear the movie. Another theater had only one speaker working on the left side only. But for the most part, we enjoy going there. The staff is always friendly.
Its not that expensive for a movie theater, and the place is almost never packed. You cna enjoy your movie without being disturbed.
The cinema is very clean, and pretty much empty in the daytime. Price is quite affordable at $7.50 for child & senior and $9 for adult. Very kind and friendly staff!
This cinema is not updated, but it’s nice and convenient to have a movie theater right in town.
The sound is better and they cleaned it up. Give it a try
Pleasant location nice and quiet, but the theaters are seriously outdated
A solid choice for movies. Their prices are competitive and I am happy to see our neighborhood movie theater making it.
Not crowded, Friday night in and out so quiet it was nice, it's old and in a quiet plaza but I like the that way . It was nice #quickandquiet #goodtimegoodmovie
Great quiet theater, great if you don't like to be around a lot of people.
It is nice because they have cheap tickets. The theater is clean. The chairs are poor. They don't recline and the seat leans forward too much I felt like I was sliding off the chair.
This theater is a bit dated but the good news is the prices tend to be a little cheaper than others theaters. The movie theater seats are the old style and not the fully electronic recliners in other comparable theaters. Overall though I like this theater because it tends to not be overcrowded and delivers better bang for the buck.
Great prices for seniors and great movies
Wish the concession was better.
I travel from Newtown so all the nearby theaters are about the same distance away but I tell everyone prefer Seymour. It's like watching a movie in my living room its just.... so...cozy. It may not be my first choice to watch a BlockBuster..but I love it anyway! I would like to give it a low rating so that I can continue enjoy it in peace but that wouldn't be fair to management and the employees.
Nice little theater
I went to Seymour cinemas to see with my grandchildren, 1 boy 1 girl. the manager Derek, was very rude when i asked for a refund on my stale popcorn, and flat soda. he obviously had a racial bias because me and my grandchildren are African american. he belittled and talked down to me, and told me i could leave if it was that big of an issue. this theater is obviously run by lowlife losers who are so bored the only thing they can do is be rude to people only because of their race. If i was a white woman who received expired food i doubt it would be an issue. In addition to this nonsense, i've heard from friends who let their kids go see movies in groups that derek, the penguin looking manager always has issues with them that are obviously because of the color of their skin. NEVER GO HERE. let them go out of business sooner rather than later.
Small place, not much for food selection but a nice little local movie theater. It's not as expensive as the big places either. Don't expect those big stadium seating.
Pretty dingy, not near anything else of note.
Great theater in the Valley. Nothing fancy but it is clean and very comfortable. Staff is amazing and very friendly. They have great popcorn and ticket prices are very good. The bathroom is very clean and spacious.
Good place to watch movies. Also a good pokemon go spot
Good prices and good snacks, I give 4 stars only for it to be a little bit more lively, but it is a good option to go with your family.
Great and affordable place to take your families to see the newest releases.
Always a pleasure to go to. No lines plenty of seats nice people reasonably affordable. Lisa v
nice place to see a movie
Small and cozy! There arent a whole bunch of teeangers running around here! It is usually quieter here so you can happilay enjoy your movie
Awesome prices
Not a good selection but okay. Place could use a face lift. But the prices are good so I guess you get what you pay for.
Maybe I'm spoiled but the screen seemed standard def not even enhanced I get better quality at home and they had the old movie theater seats not the newer recliners. With that being said they played the movie with no difficulties and over all enjoyed my experience.
Nice place but kids were in a R rated movie
Older worn equipment. Staff is very friemdly and prices are lower than more modern theaters. However, it is asmall town and we are fortunate to have them.
Not crowded but need better projector operators. Staff is friendly.

Great place to bring the family on a Sunday evening!!
Some young worker there was extremely rude and ignorant. She wouldn't allow my friend and I to watch Annabelle since we didn't have photo I.d. stating we were 17 even though I had a school I.d. that clearly said I was a junior (I mean I would think the girl would have enough brain cells to tell what age a junior in high school would be) and my friends mom even came in to tell the lady we were both 17. She said she would get her manager which she never did when I told her to get him twice. I will never go back here. Why should I when there workers don't know how to do their job
Pretty dingy, not near anything else of note.
Y'all have a cutie working up front

Nice
Seats need to be updated... other than that... great theater always few people in theater for showings.
Local multi theater cinema. Reasonable prices. Nothing that stands out either negative or positive.
This place is like the best to go to for good movies and the snacks are little expensive but it is worth the money
Great staff great food great prices and a great selection of movies for you and your family to enjoy
The seats are too small and the prices are not that great. This is the closest theater to my boyfriends house so we usually go to this one but it's just not worth it there seats are uncomfortable if your on the bigger side and the …
I like this theatre it’s never too crowded!
Paying for 3 people to see a movie cost me less then it does for 2 where I normally go, a very nice change
Tried to see a 10am movie today but when I arrived I was told that it was a private showing. I guess it wasn't noted when I searched movie times. The lobby was clean and uncluttered. Had to book over to Southington to catch 10:30am showing. Very inconvenient especially with this bad weather.
Chairs feel like someone broke them all and took the seat cushions out.
I love going to this theater. Clean and great all around.
I like this little theatre. Not over crowded because there is not much to do around there but to see the movie and leave.
Fair tix prices. Fair snack prices. Comfy...clean, nice staff. Plenty of parking. No frills...but good place to watch a movie.
staff is really pleasant & friendly
Always great!
Would love to go there again...good staff...clean theater
Its a fine place to catch a cheap movie but you get what you pay for. A couple of the theaters smell like mildew and the seats and carpeting are old and worn down but the staff is friendly.
First run films, reasonably comfortable. Not fancy but very convenient
Great place to go to the movies cheap
Always enjoy this cinema. Friendly staff. Great choices. Easy. Local. Great popcorn.
Nice theatre. Seats do not recline
This theater is always a pleasure because of the small crowds and big theater experience. I don't like crowds and it is the main reason why I enjoy coming here, no huge crowds!
Love this place!!!! Its a great place to watch movies and enjoy family time. It’s has a peaceful setting plus the staff are super nice and wonderful. There is no other theater that I go to but this one. My husband and kids enjoy this place . I also love the fact that it’s safe and a worry free environment.
Worst place ever. Go to southbury. Walk in and manager immediately thinks we’re trouble and starts laughing at us. Threatens to kick us out before we even bought a ticket. Manager extremely rude and disrespectful.
love this small place. never have a problem with the staff!
Always been a decent theater. Not unusually expensive. Has a small but interesting arcade section. Always clean. Not too small. Pretty much everything I expect from a movie theater chain.
super nice theater reasonably priced very comfortable
This place hasn't changed in 20 years. It has the same setup since I was in high school.
Best place to go if your an epic gamer good service and fast lines
Seats need to be updated... other than that... great theater always few people in theater for showings.

Great staff great food great prices and a great selection of movies for you and your family to enjoy
The seats are too small and the prices are not that great. This is the closest theater to my boyfriends house so we usually go to this one but it's just not worth it there seats are uncomfortable if your on the bigger side and the condiments are over priced. I also had a lazy worker help me I had to run back to my car when I came back he said I couldn't buy tickets even though my boyfriend was already in the theater so my boyfriend was not refunded he was given a voucher for another move but of course he lost the voucher so it was a waste of money.... I recommend brass mill cinema they have $5 days on Sunday and Tuesday and their normal price is only dollar more then Seymour.
I like this theatre it’s never too crowded!

Not bad but just don't buy any food. At 4 bucks for a bottle of water I can't afford to snack there.
Chairs feel like someone broke them all and took the seat cushions out.

Always great!
The fact that the prices are cheap, and the staff is awesome! I experienced the staff not turning on the 3-D and forgetting for the beginning of the movie.
Would love to go there again...good staff...clean theater

Great local theatre showing all the latest movies.
A very nice movie theater!
Perfect local movie theater
This is a nice older classic movie theatre.
Small but clean, quiet, friendly staff and never over crowded.
New management and new owners. Lovely, nice and clean. Great movie theater.
I love our local movie theatre. Very friendly staff.
Good place
I called the theater to see if my boyfriend, his son and I could see a cheap movie. I called and listened to the auto message and after it gave the matinee prices it said golden ticket Tuesday's where movies are 5 dollars and a 3 dollars for 3D. The the message continued to say if your 17 and under bring ID.. ect. So I was like cool well have a good time. We get to the theater and the girl goes it'll be 34 dollars! We were surprised I questioned it and I said I thought the movie would be 5 dollars plus the 3 dollar surcharge. She goes no it's for seniors only. I told her the automated message didn't say for just seniors. So we sucked it up and said this is our last time there. We can proudly say that the Milford mall cinema is our home theater and will always be. Seymour has lost our business. We'd rather travel a few more mins for better prices and seating. dollar surcharge for 3d
Great place! We love the package deals!
Love the people they are so nice
Nice movie house... right off the highway
Very clean, nice friendly staff
My husband and I used to travel from newtown to this theater because we loved the popcorn, which you could get (a ton of) candy in for a decent price. I thought that was such a novel idea and really made our movie experience special. We're so upset that they don't offer this feature anymore and will probably not come back because of it. It's really a shame. It was just an original idea that made your theater different than the others.
Seymour Cinemas is great place to catch a movie, the place is clean relaxing and its definitely one of the best movie cinema around..
Nice little cinema with reasonable prices but when we went it was very empty and its located in a plaza that seems to be mainly abandoned. I cant see them staying in business for long
Great reclining chairs for comfortable viewing
Clean and convenient, a little less expensive than other theaters
A good price for a new release movie. Good sized and clean. Nice family experience.
I really enjoyed going to this movie theater !!
Convenient to get to, always a great selection of current movies
My children and I had a wonderful experience at the Seymour, CT theater today. We were very touched to learn that the theater donates to the CF Foundation and in hearing the owner had a family experience with CF. My daughter also lives with CF and we fundraise for it too. She was excited to see the CF Foundation plaques on the wall and she says now we must only go to see movies here in future! Thank you! PS The movie quality was good too, as was the service at the concession:)
Nice theater, movie a little too loud.
Quick service, provided the opportunity to salt and flavor own popcorn. Courteous staff. Clean theater, even at the end of the night.
My mom always brought me here as a kid. Only good memories came out of this place
I like going to this theater it's easy on and easy off from Route 8 the people who work there are very polite and a popcorn is always good never really crowded
Needs up dating
We went during the day and there weren't many people in the theater, which was nice for us but not the theater. The young guy behind the counter was real nice.
Not happy with the closing policy.
90s type of old school spot where everyone seems to be acquainted. Fun for a retro feel, plus everything is slightly cheaper than at a new cinema. Out of date facilities include paper thin walls that poorly insulate sound from the surrounding rooms, and a noisy ceiling fan that kicks on and off during the movie. But the place is clean (can't speak for the bathrooms, didn't use them), the seats lean back extra far, and the employees are very friendly. So it falls somewhere between modern cinema and dollar cinema. Ya win some, ya lose some, you take your pick.
Don't like it there at all. The chairs are horrible and it's not clean,
Clean theaters, never crowded, good selection of movies
It's an OK local theater. Honestly it's on it's last legs in a vacant shopping center. I don't know how they stay afloat. I think they could make more money if they dropped their prices, showed older movies and got mor people in. We went there the other night and literally had an entire theater to ourselves.
Great place to see a movie. Hardly ever a wait. Decent seats. Arcade games. Next to a Subway and Dunkin donuts.
My wife and i go here all the time we love this cute little theater! Its a great place right in our neighborhood. The prices are very reasonable, the theater is easy to get to and the staff is nice. Is it the most cutting edge theater in the state? No... but for the great price i didn't expect it to be and for most films i dont need it to be. Its a great, cheap friendly neighborhood theater, great for a last minute date or dinner and a movie. Will continue to go here.
Slow day, but the workers tried to be nice. They didn't seem that happy though.
This theater is a bit smaller than others in CT, but it is a perfectly fine theater. There are nights that I don't want to travel a half hour to Milford or Trumbull, so I go to this one. It's never been a bad choice. There has only been one time that there was a problem with the sound, but it seems like the issues were corrected since then.
Overall great movie theater, been going here since I was a kid and I always come back. Only complaint is from one experience, my girlfriend forgot her ID and even though I had mine and both of our college IDs, they wouldn't let us into an R rated movie. Understandable that it was the rules, but I would have appreciated some leeway. I'll still go back without a doubt.
Love the staff and the arcade is always fun too
If you want convenience this is the place. Right off the highway, pretty cheap and never a long line. The ceilings drip when it rains. The seats are uncomfortable. Some of the theaters even stink. This place is in desperate need of a remodel which seems to be in the making. I hope this place makes a comeback. I used to go here all the time when I was younger but now I just go to the mall on tuesdays when it's $5.
Great local theatre showing all the latest movies.

I really enjoyed going to this movie theater !!
Convenient to get to, always a great selection of current movies
Never crowded, always clean, short lines, good prices. Coming from NY this is a hidden gem!
Nice theater, movie a little too loud.

Run down theater in a near abandoned plaza. Wish I could recommend but not much to like here. Smells musty, carpets, ladies room , lobby all need T.L.C. Could hear baby crying in next theater during most of movie. Simply unacceptable, only positive thing I can say is there were a good variety of films playing.
Inexpensive theater lots of room
Clean. No wait
Great place, usually empty... A couple screens have blemishes which can be distracting. Overall good place to catch a flick
Great place especially for kids, old school, clean, loud
I’ve been going since the release of Iron Man 3 & it’s still a great theater with great staff & it’s always clean
Fun day.
Can use some serious updates
Wasn't crazy for the popcorn lil stale and butter oily.
This Cinema is Community Family owned....meaning they are Family to the entire Community. We could go to other Larger or New Cinemas...but we choose to support our Neighbors and Local Business establishments.
Love the fact that they are closer however the seeing in uncomfortable. So I prefer Southington. If they upgraded their seeting I wouldn't go anywhere else. Staff are very helpful and always pleasant.
It's not a luxury theater. But the prices are the same as a luxury theater. It's got a small town feel to it. The attendants are amicable.
Small uncomfortable seats and way over priced popcorn and candy
Convenient location, good prices, and selection of movies. However, the theatre needs to be updated a bit.
Nice and quiet place
A great small theater, good customer service. There is a basic selection of concessions, not many hot foods unless you count nachos and popcorn. There is a small selection of arcade games, mostly for older children. The concession prices are high. Some of the theaters are really small, you never know if you're going to get a large theater or a small one. Which means less privacy and less seating options. Their screens are okay, but nothing like the Milford Mall. I prefer to bring my children to this one because it is smaller, less busy and it is friendly. You don't have to go far to get to the bathrooms, and there is plenty of convenient parking. I recommend making plans to eat before or after. There is one small pizza place in the plaza, Dunkin Donuts and a subway, then there isn't anything really available nearby.
Super clean theater. Bathrooms and screening rooms are never filthy. Shout out to the staff, the few that work there. It's never busy here, so they don't usually have a lot of workers. The food choices are ok. There's not a lot of hot stuff, but I don't think they get enough business to have it. The arcade area is cool. I love it. I wish more theaters had an arcade. The popcorn is ok, but once you add a seasoning option it's way better. They have that where you get napkins. A note though, you always need ID when paying with a card.
Typical local movie theatre. Standard ticket pricing, however the concessions are a bit pricey. Good selection of candy, but the popcorn is stale sometimes. Highly recommend getting nachos there!
The movie theater was family-friendly and great prices
Staff very helpful and polite
It's small cinema, friendly, it's in a small plaza little bit dark, when we finished the movie with our kids around 9;45pm we saw surveillance police, it's looks like isn't a safe place at night... Better go daylight....
I've been coming here to see movies since they first opened back in the 90s and I still enjoy seeing movies here. I just feel bad for them it doesn't seem like a lot of people go here anymore because they want go and pay the expensive mall prices for the fancy seating and format's to see a movie. If you're like me and just want to have fun seeing a straight forward movie without going broke, go here instead.
Seats very uncomfortable! Air was on so high i had to thaw out when i left. Dont think ill go back. Rather drive to milford
This is a decent theater and convenient. Popcorn is good. Sharing is an option, I wish they had bigger bags to share amongst family. This might sound strange but their seats are small. If you have a good set of hips, you might be uncomfortable. Good for kids, games are in the lobby. Enjoy!
L.Robinson... you were totally wrong for bashing the manager as she had obviously was helpful and refunded you which you seem to forget to mention in your review, grant the theater can use a little make over but the staff have ALWAYS been kind and helpful, I have been going to this movie theater since it's opened and I enjoy it tremendously because it is a nice theater it is intimate where you can actually enjoy the movie, So when you write a review you should write the whole story and not knock everything leaving it was only one star when your problem was solved and compensated
Good place to see a first run movie at a discount to other cinemas in the area.
Great convenient theater for Seymour and nearby towns. The employees were very friendly and efficient. Kudos to the manager, who was also very friendly and helpful. The theater we were in was clean, in good shape and a good size for viewing the movie.
The cheapest tickets around. Staff is super friendly and my kids love it there. Their large popcorn is a 3 gallon bucket and it comes with a free refill!
The movies never dissapoint, a great place to go. It is generally clean and the popcorn is great.
This is a peace and quiet theater.there was not alots of people when my man and i went there to go see all eyez on me movie last week.the staffs was very polite and helpful .the tickets, snacks are reasonable prices too☺
You can see movies here.
It is okay. Could be cleaner.
Close to home but the theatre is dated and you can hear the movie playing next door.
Nice low key spot
Cheap movies, which is nice. But come on, guys. You could do a better job cleaning the theater floors.
Very nice theater
Forever in love with this movie theater.
Love going here..they show all the latest films...and at a good price.. the theatre its self could use a makeover..but other than that it's a good place for family night out
Run down theater in a near abandoned plaza.
Cute little hometown feel, decent prices.
Run down, in need of renovation but good enough when you don't want to go out of town. Located in a shopping center where the biggest place has lacked an occupant for years.
Good place, clean and not crowded for a Saturday movie.
