I love the movie selection at the Garden (a local independent and arthouse distributor). Parking can be challenging with small lot and ongoing construction. Seats are older, cash only, but it's a family run business so I support it whole-heartedly.

Great local spot for indie, arts and also mainstream movies - and friendly, personal service, unique accessible seating (self-serve, seat reservations not required, and that's a GOOD thing) that guarantees good screen viewing; and great popcorn, snacks/beverages.

I loved this theatre back in the 90's. It lost it's luster when with a single rude gesture, the manager, who also took tickets acted as if i had never been in there before. I guess i have sucker written all over my face. Today, when i walk in 20 minutes to show time, he asks me, what can i do for you? as if i'm here for a haircut. His tattooed assistant makes another comment, saying "breaks over" as if i ruined their break by walking in to see a movie. It gets 1 star for nostalgia, and an extra star because it shows woody allen movies.

Terrific place to see films. It's a place where people really love movies and it's one of the few places in the state where you can see surprising fare. No superheroes in sight!

Great Independent movie theater that shows documentaries, Independent and small release films. Friendly staff Reasonable prices on tickets and concessions, fresh popcorn and baked goods along with typical movie candy. This is not your big box ultra HD lounge chair theater but if you want to see great movies at a good price without people talking or using cell phones this is the place to go. Always support independent movie theaters.

I love this movie theatre. They play the kind of movies that you don't usually see in the mainstream cinemas; in other words, all the award winners. This is where you come to see the Oscar nominees. Also, they pay for their patrons' parking, but the parking lot owners don't let you know that ahead of time.

Pros: They show independent films and other "art house" films -- great for our community. Cons: The facility is in dire need of rehabilitation. You must bring an extra sweater/wrap to put OVER your coat in the cold weather. The heating system is either inadequate or not being used to keep customers comfortable. The only accept cash - a real inconvenience. Due to nearby construction (2016), there is little available parking outside of their small private lot.

This is a very nice movie theater that shows interesting and good independent movies. My only complaint is that during one showing I was in, I heard the movie from the theater room next to mine. It was only for about 30 seconds when the movie I was watching had a very quiet part, so it really didn't take me out of the movie too much; it's just not preferable. This has only happened once since I've been there. You have to check this theater out!

Our theatre was very cold, but if they ran the heater it was very loud. On the plus side, nice, big old school seats. Also, be prepaid, they don't take credit cards.

The Garden is great--the only good movies in the area. Very comfortable seats and good concessions. Parking can be tough, so allow for extra time on weekend evenings. A big plus is that the upstairs theaters are great if you can sit close. The one major drawback is that upstairs ventillation is not always great and it can get stuffy. Otherwise, five stars.
