Great experience for a small town theater. I live in Colchester, so it's great for me. You won't much of a 3D experience, but if I want IMAX I have to go to Manchester. You simply cannot beat the price.

They had the air conditioning ON the day AFTER Thanksgiving in Connecticut. My face, hands were cold. I needed ear muffs and full on winter gear whilst inside. The theatre is small- that's okay..What's not okay is, they had the volume at decibels suitable for a NYC IMAX. Needless to say, that gave me a headache.

A great cinema. It's very clean and well platformed. Providing very straightforward service along with bathrooms, drinking fountains, and it's almost impossible to get yourself lost in the building. The food is a bit costly though, so I would buy something reasonably small.

If you live in and around Colchester, the short drive to a small theater beats the half-hour drive to a crowded theater in manchester. Popcorn is popcorn, snacks are snacks, soda is soda, theater is theater. If all you have to complain about is the 'snug' seats, then you're clearly spoiled by the 'luxury' cinemas. $6 for a medium popcorn? Try a large and bring some friends; large popcorn and drinks get a free refill.

This is a smaller theater but very clean and well-maintained, offering first run movies that are reasonably priced. On Tuesdays all movies are $5 unless they are Sony pictures and then they're $7 - a great deal these days! A word about their concessions who some say are expensive - they are less than every other theater in the surrounding area. They offer several sizes of popcorn so you can spend as much or as little as you want. They also make fresh baked pretzels by the order - you wait a few minutes but they are delicious! This is a great little treasure! I do agree about putting the movies on the billboard outside however - but you can find them on Google at Gallery Cinemas in Colchester if you want to look up what's playing.

Great place for movie break, especially on Tuesdays for $6.25. Add the all you can eat refillable popcorn and you have a perfect movie date. The seats are ok. Can see the screen well from most seats. Not too loud or bothered by sounds from adjacent theatres. Great little theatre.

Have been here with my significant other twice: to watch Hereditary and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. So what does this rather small, locally-run theater offer? Quite a lot! The convenience of e-ticketing if desired. Rather small audience sizes. A scenic location amongst the mom-and-pop aura of more rural Colchester. They offer snacks and beverages as well, but haven’t sampled too much of their offerings. They do not offer alcohol like a few theaters I have been to do. Although they do play only a small number of movies, they do it well. Seating is not the kind of reclinable and luxurious type that you might see in a chain theater but it’s not a chain theater and for its convenience and location and general character (had a cordial and helpful five minute chat with the manager about best possible showtimes for a premiere), it cannot be beat! Only wish I found this gem sooner!

I really loved this cinema for 5$ movie day on Tuesday. It's really awesome when you have a big family you can bring your family and don't go broke. It's not like that on every movie but most. You can spend 50 plus buck on a movie night with family. Who has the money for that?....I just learned it's no longer 5$ movie night. What a bummer it's now 6.25$ movie night. What will it be next $7? I'm hoping it stays so it can be affordable. So came today for 6.25 day and paid no problem. Went to sit down while my daughter got popcorn. She runs in and says your card isn't working,yet I just used it. So I went to the popcorn area and said I'm told my card isn't working and I say you could bypass the pin. He says it declined. I said I just used it and then he says this" I don't have time for you to figure out if your card works or not! I'm busy." I was shocked. Don't have time for a paying customer. Don't have time for someone who just contributed to your paycheck. Terrible customer service. Nothing wrong with my card. I used to get ice cream after the movie. I'll give my money to someone else.

Honestly I don't have high standards. This place is actually really good except for the fact that the tickets are ten dollars. Literally I could drive 15 more minutes to another place that has tickets for 7 dollars. Like come on guys, we get that this is a small town movie place but come on. Ten dollars for a ticket? I chose this theatre to view "The Judge" in Oct. 2014. The last time I was in this theatre was to see "American Beauty," and vowed back then I'd never go back to this particular theater because of the uncomfortable seats. Well, I broke the vow due to a request from a friend. During the coming attractions, I had to cover my ears as a result of the incredible volume. I actually approached the manager to tone the volume down, since my date and I were the only ones in the theatre. He brushed my request off, saying the volume would be appropriate during the actual movie, which it was. However, I had to cover my ears throughout the coming attractions. UNSAT. Is it THAT difficult to change the volume, I thought??? The seating had not appeared to change in the 10 years or so since I'd been there. I felt squashed when my date put an arm on the arm rest between us. I found myself rearranging every ten minutes or so, and having a desk job by trade, I may be more aware of seat comfort, but I have to tell you that I have renewed my vow on NOT going to Gallery Cinemas. I'll pass on this theatre. By the way, $6 for a medium popcorn.

Please don't listen to nit picking reviewers squawking about seat size. Let's be honest.... this is a small town theater. Don't come here expecting plush stadium seats, IMAX, a full arcade or automated ticketing. Instead what you get is small crowds, clean digital projection, quality sound, room to spread out in your seats, good prices on tickets / food and friendly staff. The seats are fine... they're not IMAX seats, but they're just fine. The food and tickets are reasonably priced. Please be realistic and remember that food and soda is where movie theaters make their $ and stay in business. For a theater this size... if they're lucky, they break even on ticket sales. All that said, the ticket / food prices are still cheaper than anywhere else. Relax a little.... beat the crowds, and go enjoy a movie close to home.

It's a little dated but comfortable, man selling tickets didn't seem happy to be there, no hello, thank you, nothing, he ought to take lessons from the young people at the concessions who couldn't have been nicer! I do love this theatere. Very clean and good prices. Unfortunately tonight (Tuesday april 25th around 645) the man who was at the desk where I get the tickets from was very rude to me. He raised his voice at me and was extremely rude. Also when I was paying for my ticket he was saying "next in line" and taking other people when I wasn't even checked out yet. I have never in my life wrote a bad review about anyone, but this very bothered me and now I don't want to go there again because of this. But besides him I love the place!

Too cramped and over priced. Rebuild your seating and then your prices would be worth it. Oh and offer more to chose from in your concession. The only thing good about going to this theatre is how close to home it is. I rather drive to Manchester or Lisbon to sit in comfortable seating, and have more food to chose.

A very good local movie theater. It is a little on the smaller side & it doesnt have all the amenities that the larger theaters have but it's still the place I generally go to see a movie.

Honestly I don't have high standards. This place is actually really good except for the fact that the tickets are ten dollars. Literally I could drive 15 more minutes to another place that has tickets for 7 dollars. Like come on guys, we get that this is a small town movie place but come on. Ten dollars for a ticket? Let's get real, that is kinda expensive.

I chose this theatre to view "The Judge" in Oct. 2014. The last time I was in this theatre was to see "American Beauty," and vowed back then I'd never go back to this particular theater because of the uncomfortable seats. Well, I broke the vow due to a request from a friend. During the coming attractions, I had to cover my ears as a result of the incredible volume. I actually approached the manager to tone the volume down, since my date and I were the only ones in the theatre. He brushed my request off, saying the volume would be appropriate during the actual movie, which it was. However, I had to cover my ears throughout the coming attractions. UNSAT. Is it THAT difficult to change the volume, I thought??? The seating had not appeared to change in the 10 years or so since I'd been there. I felt squashed when my date put an arm on the arm rest between us. I found myself rearranging every ten minutes or so, and having a desk job by trade, I may be more aware of seat comfort, but I have to tell you that I have renewed my vow on NOT going to Gallery Cinemas. I'll pass on this theatre. By the way, $6 for a medium popcorn.

Please don't listen to nit picking reviewers squawking about seat size. Let's be honest.... this is a small town theater. Don't come here expecting plush stadium seats, IMAX, a full arcade or automated ticketing. Instead what you get is small crowds, clean digital projection, quality sound, room to spread out in your seats, good prices on tickets / food and friendly staff. The seats are fine... they're not IMAX seats, but they're just fine. The food and tickets are reasonably priced. Please be realistic and remember that food and soda is where movie theaters make their $ and stay in business. For a theater this size... if they're lucky, they break even on ticket sales. All that said, the ticket / food prices are still cheaper than anywhere else. Relax a little.... beat the crowds, and go enjoy a movie close to home.

I do love this theatere. Very clean and good prices. Unfortunately tonight (Tuesday april 25th around 645) the man who was at the desk where I get the tickets from was very rude to me. He raised his voice at me and was extremely rude. Also when I was paying for my ticket he was saying "next in line" and taking other people when I wasn't even checked out yet. I have never in my life wrote a bad review about anyone, but this very bothered me and now I don't want to go there again because of this. But besides him I love the place!

Too cramped and over priced. Rebuild your seating and then your prices would be worth it. Oh and offer more to chose from in your concession. The only thing good about going to this theatre is how close to home it is. I rather drive to Manchester or Lisbon to sit in comfortable seating, and have more food to chose.
