I do not recommend this theater, last night I went to watch toy story 4 and I saw a mice going up and down the wall, so I decided to leave when I kept hearing more mice, when I walked out during the movie I saw the mice going towards the garbage. I’m pretty sure there is more than one at that place and when I went to the manager to get my refund I told him about it and he said he knows. Also when I was going inside to watch the movie their was garbage all over the floor.

This movie theater has been slipping for a long time. Last night I ask for two tickets and somehow I got one paid ticket. The sound is sometime too loud...and when trying to leave the theater the lights didn't come up... I was shocked cause some of the audience was at least average age 60...some people might've fell...they need to do a better with running that theater...I rather have Cinema City back!

I love that this cinema carries smaller independent films! Smaller pictures are such a benefit to us although they undoubtedly make less money. Support the Bow Tie in their efforts to support independent film making!!

GROSS!!! I went with my kids & my niece today & we were Literally sitting for about 10 minutes in there movie hasn’t even started & I felt something crawling on me and went to scratch and felt it & grabbed it it was a bed bug!!!!! I don’t know how they are allowed to even be open when they have bed bugs! DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!

Took my family there for $5 Tuesday. They went up to $7. I purchased our tickets we went the theater it was very hot no working Air conditioning. My daughter wanted to stay so my wife asked for complimentary ice water they gave us small cups. We stayed to watch the movie in the middle of the movie the screen went black but we heard to voices. At that point we packed up left asked for the manager and got a refund We won't be going there again.

Awful! Will never go here again! All the workers are rude & not friendly at all. The place was freezing cold. Everyone in the theater was complaining about how cold it was. The theater needs to be upgraded. Seats are small & very uncomfortable!!! Left with my back hurting. Popcorn was horrible! For a small that cost $7 it should be fresh not stale & cold!

Just came out of Once upon a time In Hollywood. I showed up at 1245 bought tickets to 1230 show and they gave me tickets for the 1130 showing, and directed me into the wrong theater. Since I was late I thought maybe I missed the first seen but once the movie ended an hour early, I realized something was wrong. I'm a huge fan of the director of the movie and felt like my experience was ruined. I asked for a refund and they gave me a hard time saying they would not help me unless I had my ticket as if i was lying. I find my ticket and they realized they messed up. Ashley the manager started to YELL at me saying I was being rude and I'm not gonna get an attitude with her cause she is the wrong person. Honestly felt scared and ganged up on because the staff were supporting Ashley and saying I do not deserve a refund. After getting a refund I took the money back without saying a word and she said "dont snatch it" finishing with "you are not allowed to come back here". I recommend finding new staff members because they lack hospitality and respect.

Im only giving them a 2 because the sound in the theater didn't suck this time....and it was the Aquaman movie. So needless to say...first and last time im going to Bow Tie....back to AMC in Plainville or Rave in Manchester thru Fandango...

Went to see Shazam with my brother last week and it was an ok experience, the hot dog was ok.At first there was only sound during the ads,then the picture wasn’t perfect,but it got fixed after a boy went to tell someone. Sometimes the theaters can get littered but overall not a bad place to catch a movie which may not be an experience around for much longer.. Get out the house and enjoy!

I am treating my daughter to a movie for all of her accomplishments in 1st grade. We are not from the area and decide to go to the Bow tie. This is by far the most disgusting movie theater I have been to in my life. We walk into the theater that is showing our movie and the stench is horrible. It smells like a hamster cage in here. It is also hot and humid. We can’t enjoy our popcorn because the smell is ruining our appetite. I regret coming to this theater and hope for a full refund.

Bought tickets online for a 10:30 showing in the BTX at $15/piece for a movie I was happy to pay the price for. Produced my receipt for it. Was told the reservation was for a different day, time, and price and charged the difference in an exchange. Maybe this was Fandango's fault but between this experience and the fact my feet stick to the floor like flypaper in this increasingly disgusting theater, I won't be back. Gotta be able to handle online transactions in 2018

My family is large, 5 children and 2 adults, and it is expensive to take everyone. I thought Palace Bow Tie would be a great place to take my 2 year old son, because I thought they would not charge him an admission. My goal was to get him used to the dark theater and loud, big screen. The manager was not having it and charged me admission for the 7, so I paid. We went in and the 2 year old starting crying and wanted to leave, so I took him out of the theater. I went to the manager and told him to refund me, and that was fine, but he was rude because he kept repeating that you cannot go back in the theater. Forgive me if I was going to try again and get him used to the theater, considering I was already paying for 5 others. Just poor managerial decision making. You might disagree, but I feel when you invest that much, you would think they would cut you a break. I ended up going back and the manager the second time was much better. She was kind and helpful, and issues my a complimentary tickets for a misunderstanding. I changed my rating to a 4/5.

Driving into the theaters we see people fighting next to the doors and people were standing in the middle of the road. Going into the theater the movie was blurry and we reported it and the screen got fixed. But in the theater people were on there phones with there brightness are the way up and also people were arguing in the theater and it was really distracting. Even someone was vaping in a public movie theater. I really wanted to see the movie and I heard it was really good. My friends and I ended up leaving because we couldn’t handle it anymore. It my first time going to the movie theater and most likely my last. Overall the experience in the movie theater was really bad and I recommend people not going to the bow tie theater.

The staff was friendly but the film projector broke. I drove an hour to see Lords Of Chaos. It was the only theater showing the film. You think with having 17 movies they would make sure the equipment was running smooth. The manager came and told us they will not be able to show the film, and to meet him up front for a refund. When I went up front I asked wait having issues earlier and he said yes. It was a waste of a Saturday night. I'll prob never go there again because I'll just think will it happen again.....

Part of the experience on going to the movies is spending some time at the concession stand... But at this complex most of the concession items are readily available except for the hot items like hot dogs, nachos, chicken tenders, and more. One always has to wait at least five minutes or more...I don't understand why. A lot of times I end up missing the upcoming releases which is part of the fun

Ticket line long with only one ticket person. Concession staff did not listen to order and got it wrong. Security guard was at back of building on his phone and noted there throughout our movie. Other than that, movie theatre clean, comfortable and movie was good!

This place as awesome when it opened, but now, it just feels dated. Many owners over the years but the place always feel the same. Just stickier. The food is hot at least except the popcorn. Long wait on the food though. The viewing rooms are way dated. Quiet on many nights which is good but still too quiet. Creepy quiet. Prices have gone way up too.

The staff was friendly but the film projector broke. I drove an hour to see Lords Of Chaos. It was the only theater showing the film. You think with having 17 movies they would make sure the equipment was running smooth. The manager came and told us they will not be able to show the film, and to meet him up front for a refund. When I went up front I asked wait having issues earlier and he said yes. It was a waste of a Saturday night. I'll prob never go there again because I'll just think will it happen again.....

Part of the experience on going to the movies is spending some time at the concession stand... But at this complex most of the concession items are readily available except for the hot items like hot dogs, nachos, chicken tenders, and more. One always has to wait at least five minutes or more...I don't understand why. A lot of times I end up missing the upcoming releases which is part of the fun

Went for BTX, I couldn't find anything worth the high ticket price. The sound, picture quality and the size of the screen was just like any other standard format. The biggest reason why I give low ratings is the hygiene. The floor was too sticky, almost wet, and the entire BTX auditorium had a very stale, urinal-like stench. It was hot as if the air conditioning had been off for some time. I complained to the staff and they mentioned that the air conditioning works only when the movie starts - not sure if that is usually expected in movie theatres. I have not been to other BTX theatres but this one was definitely not a good experience

Theater was 100 degrees, no lit signs to show to which auditorium for the movie and the picture didnt come on until 15 minutes of sitting there after the start time. Is the owner trying to save a buck any way they can or what?! Tried to get a refund 45 mins into the 3 hour movie cause the temperature was unbearable, instead of getting the manager the staff member led me half way though the building and stopped to talk with other friends of hers instead of actually helping. Would NOT reccomend when you can drive to Manchester, pay the same price and have AC and reclining seats instead of cheapo ancient fabric seats and a 100 degree sweat lodge experience to sweat / suffer though.

I really like this Movie Theater. I bought my tickets online, printed them & easily found the theater once inside. I asked for two tickets for a movie. The ticket counter lady said "Don't have it" which was confusing. She should have said 'I'm sorry, but the projector broke"...but she didn't. I had to figure it out from some other confused customers. Anyway, I got two tickets to a different movie and got a coke and popcorn. They gave me a diet coke. I'm currently in the theater waiting for the movie to start...listening to sneak previews and commericals with sound but no picture. No one working here really cares.

This cinema is a bit unkempt.. the worker was very nice, trying to clean the theater, but it was to no avail.. the chairs were tight and uncomfortable, there was NO heat, the theater was freezing, and the people sitting next to me were so loud and obnoxious. This theater doesn't have recliners like some others, but it still has big comfortable seats in big theaters with big screens. They also have a BTX theater which is basically IMAX and much larger than other screens in the area. I go here to see new independent movies because they are usually the first to get them in Connecticut.

I went there with my son the place was clean the second you walked in. After paying we continued to walk towards the popcorn/snack area and they greeted us with a smile and were easy to talk to as well. Afterward walked to our theater we were about to watch our movie in and i was amazed how easy it was to find our theater. Upon waking in to the theater another great impression to say the least!! It was very clean and so nice! The time we walked in to bow tie until the time we left, we left i was happy with the hospitality of the people as well as the cleanliness and ease of finding the theater. Will definitely be returning! Keep up the great work! 5

Just got home from this theater. Went to see Alpha in 3D and lucky for me the movie was really great. So here it goes the people that work in there are very nice and friendly. The movie auditorium was smelly..the seats hard as a rock...stiff and no leg room...many many seats are just ripped and dirty.....the sound of the movie was good.....but screen was dark and not clear...it look like the movie was film at night....the left side of the film had a line going up and down....I pay $24.00 for the 3D movie and it was just terrible.....and finally the lemonade we got was spolied from the last night show...they gave me a coke to replace it and were nice about it and finally the pop corn was old...a total fiasco.....what can I tell you but good luck....try another movie house

Went on a weekday to see Incredibles 2. The employees were visibly bored, didn't hide it, didn't perk up when we got there. The place was clean but the only issue I have with this place is the almost 15 handicapped parking spots in front of the theater; it's a ridiculous number. I understand everyone needs parking spaces, they just need to rearrange how the system is set up.

Theater was dirty, all workers were on there cell phones no wonder there's no time to clean nor have customer service, and the movie picture screen was allot smaller than the frame. This needs to be a discount theater. All movies $5, bc that's all its worth.. If that.

When I was younger my family and I use to go to Bow Tie Cinema Palace, but now it’s the end of 2019 and it really needs an upgrade. The food variety is not as good compared to Rave cinemas or AMC. It is expensive for the selection we get. Bow Tie Cinema has a big parking lot though , it will always have a special spot in my heart. I just can’t go there knowing that there’re other movies theaters that are upgraded, spacious,etc.I know I shouldn’t compare Bow Tie to Rave Cinema or AMC but to be honest I have to give the best feedback

I order mozzarella sticks and the man said there were five mozzarella sticks for 6 dollars so I ordered it. He gave me them and there were only 4 and they were extremely small. The rest of the food was expensive I wouldn’t recommend buying snacks here.

Not exactly the experience you eant during a 2 hr 45 min movie. None of the signs were working, and chairs were dated and uncomfortable. For $5 I can enjoy some nice recliners at Berlin cinemas.

Went to a 10:15pm showing. 1 staff servicing, while 3 to 5 watching behind service counter. A line of 20 customers. And the fact they shut the AC before the movie ended. Literally sweating last 1/2 hour of the movie. If that's the case... then stop late showings my money us as good as the first showing. Or do you shut down the AC on them to?

Really great theater with all of the most recently released movies. Prices are normal. They also accept movie pass which I think is great. The staff here are very friendly and are helpful with any concerns or issues you may have. Lots of parking as well.

Overall good experience but the food costs so much and the popcorn was disgusting complete waste of money. I'm pretty sure my chocolate was stale.

Always clean, staff is nice and helpful. Never had a problem here. Price is a little bit expensive but if you do the family paq for 4 people you save some money since its 4 movie tickets plus 1 large popcorn and 1 large drink. Cant beat that.

Went to a 10:15pm showing. 1 staff servicing, while 3 to 5 watching behind service counter. A line of 20 customers. And the fact they shut the AC before the movie ended. Literally sweating last 1/2 hour of the movie. If that's the case... then stop late showings my money us as good as the first showing. Or do you shut down the AC on them to?

I seen a couple of rats running up and down the aisles while I was watching John Wicks 3. I found that to be extremely disgusting this had been my favorite movie theater since childhood. Management has to do something about that call an exterminator because that’s ridiculous.
