I wish I could give no stars to Josh the manager tonight! Kicking four kids out of the movie theater into the pouring rain is just purely unacceptable. They are kids!! Also, not to mention that Josh was extremely rude and refused to refund four of our tickets after not being able to see the movie. Who does this?? Hope there is a change in positions in the near future at AMC theaters in Plainville because Josh is not the right fit for manager! 5 kids just trying to have fun and Josh throws them out into the pouring rain! All we were asking for was a refund! Josh refused to comply with us and at the end denied us the right to see any movie for the rest of the night just because “he said so”. Clearly unacceptable, hope Josh is happy that he ruined the night of five kids.

I love this movie theater. I am an a list stubs member, I have the app and go often PRO TIP: If you are looking at a movie ticket on the app, it lists some of the benefits of that particular theater/company right above of the times. Pay attention to this, esp if it is important for you to get reclinable seats - it says if they're available at these showings

Cool place, lines move quick, seats are very comfortable. My only complaint is that tickets are given by specific seat location. I've showed up early to see a movie plenty of times, just to find all the seats had been reserved in advance by people who may or may not show.

I love the reclining seats to start with. I use the express line by joining for around $15 a year I believe. The place is well maintained(clean). It's one of the few places where the popcorn doesn't make me sick.

One of the best places to see a movie. Easy online ticket reservations, comfy recliner seats, and big theaters with plenty of room. Steep priced concessions, but what do you expect at the movies? Great imax theaters too, usually worth the higher ticket price depending on the movie. Their stubs rewards program can be a bargain if you see movies a lot.

Our favorite theatre. The new Dolby Cinema theater is really impressive and the stadium seating is super comfortable in all theaters. The IMAX seating is probably the least comfortable but you’re NOT going to IMAX to recline, you’re going to see the movie at max res and size. :)

I love recliner seats in movie theaters. Enough said. Easy to book and reserve. Several theaters so plenty of options. The ticket taker was extremely knowledgeable about all movies playing. He even warned the couple ahead of us that there was a scene in their movie that could potentially trigger an epileptic seizure and wanted to make sure it was safe for them.

Attended a weekday matinee and didn't wait in any lines! The easy ticket kiosk was easy although I didn't use the food ordering kiosk, the staff were very friendly and helpful. I recommend the hot dog! It's large and filling!

A beautiful movie theater. The sound system is spectacular, giving you the feeling of being in the action. And the seating space is done in a way that separate each row with a short wall allowing you separation and clear view of the screen.

Positives. Great staff, more than accommodating. Love the new theaters and reclining seats BUT please be more thorough in cleaning seats especially the reclining ones. There was a lot of crummage and they need a good cleaning more often. Had to move to two different seats, fortunately there was room. But seriously, more care and diligence in cleaning needs to be done. Popcorn... love love love it... but when the bottom is seeds, dump the bottom. I would hate to crack a tooth on the seeds. And for us singles... why is there not a medium sized popcorn?

I've been here before however it has been awhile. Service was great and swift. They even have self check out here in case the lines are too long. The guy who helped us, was awesome. I don't remember what his name was but I won't forget his face. We went to see black panther and even though tickets were sold out for out time slot, he handled it with ease. I enjoy this movie theater and you can tell. I literally bypass 3 to get to this one.

I had checked the time of the movie I was seeing. The time went from 245 to 305 when I arrived it was on the board for 245 . I didn't miss any of the movie and the staff offered to work with me if it stared and I chose any other movie

Really comfy theater and bargain prices! Sat am shows are under $5 - for all recent releases. Great place to enjoy a movie and not break the bank! Also, easily accessible off the turnpike, with ample parking. Join their club (free) and earn discounts at the snack bar, too. What's not to love!?!

I want to see a movie I had been looking forward to seeing. Despite signs being posted about turning off cell phones and tablets. People seated in every direction from me or on their phone talking or texting or had the screen continuously coming on to do something with their device. I want out and found someone in the management position and complain. They are unable to go in and talk to the people who are not obeying the rules what they did offer to do was give me a chance to come back and see the movie again for free. Well I did that and wouldn't you know it the same thing happened the next time. I sent much closer to the front thinking that people wouldn't be doing what they might be up in the back but sure enough people were on the phone talking texting taking pictures and just being very destructive to allow others to enjoy your movie. They charge a large amount of money just see movies here. A ticket alone can cost $20 depending on the movie and the time. They said a rule of no cell phone use or tablet use or other noisy devices or screens but then do not reinforce them. There was no one there that would be willing to go in and escort anyone out for violating the rules and it is very clear from the number of people that were violating rules that has frequent customers know that and just continue to do it knowing they won't be asked to leave. I don't know why they make a rule if they're not willing to enforce it

I enjoy this movie theater, it's clean, well stocked with goodies, staff is friendly. BUT the only downfall was seeing a movie in IMAX and it did not have the comfy recliner seats. It had those extremely uncomfortable seats. I would rather save myself some money and see it in a regular theater with those comfortable recliner seats.

Only 4 stars because the kiosks to retrieve pre-paid tockets were not working well (had to type in the confirmation number instead of just scanning the qr code). But I love the seats, powered recliners are awesome for a movie theater and these are comfortable as can be!

It was a great experience. The food is pricy, but buy snacks at the Five Below and you got yourself a ultimate movie experience. It feels cool to be there and the chairs are mechanically reclined and SO comfy. 5 out of 5, great place!

The best cinema hands down. Comfortable reclined leather seating, clean and well kept grounds. Great security and friendly staff. Good food and decent prices relative to other theater in the state.

We could go to Manchester but we prefer to go to Plainville. The reason is because we can usually get better seats for IMAX in Plainville. Also, the non-IMAX theaters in Plainville have the wonderful electric reclining seats. They don’t have those over in Manchester. I’m not meaning to place shade on Manchester - that place has great features. I’m just saying we can go in either direction from our house and we typically choose Plainville. There is something else. If you join Stubs you get to cut the food line. Also as a member every dime you spend there gives you points that applies toward purchases like free food. Yeah free food at a movie theater- go figure. Personally I like my Xfinity, my Amazon streaming service, my CBS online service - but when I go out for the full theatre experience Plainville really comes through. That is a very enthusiastic review coming from me. Just because it really is a nice place. Ok it’s weird that the bathroom is all the way out in the lobby. In Manchester they have bathrooms right in the theater hallways which is way more convenient in the middle of a movie after a slushy. So there you go.

This place is ginormous. I saw a movie in IMAX. But for the ticket price and how packed it was, I honestly was expecting more modern and up to date seating. The chairs werent uncomfortable, but they certainly aren't what you would get out of other theaters, especially for that price.

Expensive even as a stubs member. All they give me is like .25 cent off a large drink/popcorn combo that's almost $15 already. Food taste good honestly/ not too bad. Lot of drink flavors to choose and free refills. Some theaters are pretty big screens & some smaller to mid size screens have big wide comfy reclining chairs. Can't complain too much expect for price. Wish they gave us bigger discount for membership

This place is absolutely magnificent. Been coming here a long time and it never disappoints. I was surprised at how fair the prices were (for a movie theater) and the amenities were on point as always. The only negative thing I wil say is that my chair was broken so I couldn't recline. But still those seats are miles above being packed in like sardines at other theaters. I will continue to patronize this theater as it is always clean, the customer service is fantastic, and the popcorn is pretty darn good.

Plus they've got the best ticket guy I've ever seen at a theater - he'll always tell you who's in the movie! That guy deserves a raise. It's the little things that matter in a place like this.

Standard multiplex movie theater with twenty screens showing standard movie fare. Theaters now feature reduced seating capacity, with seats converted to the newer leather power recliners (which are pretty comfortable). High sound system volume levels typical of modern theaters. Concession prices are high, as per the norm, but there is a decent variety of snacks and beverages from which to choose.

My four friends and I decided to see a movie a the AMC Plainville movie theater tonight. As soon as we sat down in the theater, a guy named josh who is the manager came and kicked us out into to pouring rain. He walked us right to the door and kicked four kids out into the rain, did not even give us an option to sit inside and wait for our parents. I had to call my dad to come all the way to the movie theater and talk to the manger josh. Josh was being very rude and unhelpful. I hope josh gets move down in management. Over all a terrible night for my friends and I. All we wanted was a refund!!
