You will see the opinions of real people like you who bought the products of AMC CLASSIC Bloomfield 8 (Movie Theater) in Connecticut.
As of day the firm receives a rating of 3.9 over 5 and that score was based on 379 reviews.
As you can see the average score it has is quite good, and it's based on a high number of reviews, so we may say that the evaluation is quite reliable. If people have bothered to evaluate when they've done well, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually stop to put feddbacks when they are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Movie Theater belongs to the category of Movie theater.
Good movie theater. You can buy concessions but there are no tables or chairs to sit if you are waiting to meet people before a movie. The theater is much larger than it looks. The chairs are comfortable.
Local and inexpensive ticket pricing. Seating is flat though, so expect to look up at the screen. Also many years of movie goers' behinds in the seats make for some interesting smells my dogs can't resist i guess. I prefer the tiered reclining seats at the bigger theaters, but for a few bucks and a few miles less, this is our go-to
They are great because the tickets are 5 for kids 6 for adults bit they have the old cash register so you can't pay with your phone. There is no NFC.
Will not go back. Very outdated and dirty.
snacks are very expensive but the theater is nice. Great location.
Clean and not as COLD in temperature. ThNk you for a comfortable, entertaining afternoon
Smaller, affordable theater
Very old and outdated. I'm use to reserved seating and reclining seats that the newer AMC's have. You cant beat those prices though. 6 dollars for a ticket is great but 5 dollars for a drink is crazy.
My visit was ok, would I go again? Yeah, why not.
Love the ticket price $6.00 and some changed all day. Update movies and great deals at the counter for food and plus snakes.
Your theater staff is extremely rude and unprofessional, I was excused of trying to sneak my family into a showing, after I showed the user my ticket stubs, the user very rudely asked me "Did you pay for for 4 tickets?" Which is embarrassing and unprofessional, I complained to the manager after and his response was useless as well. I have supported this theater for years, but I will no longer do so, I will go to Manchester or West Hartford instead of your theater, which is in my hometown.
Nice place to visit
A small local movie theater showing new releases.
Prices ok but place us run down and dingy
Wow we had a blast. Going to a theater were the audience is having fun is amazing. We gasped together, cried together, and clapped out loud. We'll be going back
Filthy and the screen had a hole in it.
Love theovie deals and able to have fun with friends over the summer
I like to support my local businesses. That said, going to the movies isnt cheap and i prefer the best experience possible. This theater has changed owners 4 times in the last dozen years but never upgrades the facility or theaters. The sound quality is poor, some screens are damaged, and the seating is about 20 years old. This won't be where I visit unless I'm not concerned about the experience.
Endgame was so good i risked getying kidney stones for it and im 13
It's definitely cheap for a reason. Doesn't have multiple rows, screen size is alright, and sound isn't very big. Basically it's a alright theater.
Theater is extremely outdated, low staffed, and chairs are not comfortable. They play only a few selected films. So beware. You have to arrive early because they only have one person selling the tickets and making the food. This is my last option when it comes to going to the movies
A little outdated. But a good deal compared to other high end places
Like is was good
Spacious with large screens
Screen was a little small but otherwise ok
Shanice as usual provided awesome service. Very attentive to my needs regarding what I expect from Honda service center. I trust her!
It was great. I went here on my birthday and it was really quiet so you could hear the movie. Aside from the basically qued laughter
Run down but u can't beat $6 movies
Pros: Really cheap ticket prices! Cons: no reclining seats
Needs new management, getting steadily dirtier. Carpets always littered, bad smell, signage identifying movie rooms missing. It's very sad, we love going to the movies. Please, please do something to improve, lots of new Bloomfield residents will be turned off by present conditions.
Little girl behind the counter was very standoffish and blunt with me. Her customer service skills or actual lack of them is so obvious. She was so rude to me for no reason, like she didn't want me ordering pretzel bites. Place is dirty and smelled of feces. Yuck.
It was clean and had free refills on the drink
Nice theatre, terrible sound quality
Nice place okay food
Nice theater.
Small, No reclining seats if that's what your used to. The theater had a funny smell. Wasn't the cleanest.
Good movie theater to see the movie you want to see.... Small but it's good.
A good movie theater. Very nice seats and food. You can enjoy with family friends.
Great prices daily
The community treats this theater like a dump. Never coming back.
Nice comfortable theater with good prices
This theater never seems to be very busy but I like not having a lot of ppl in theater due to the bad mannerisms alot of ppl seem to have with talking and being on their phones. Not a lot of staff for serve you have to do your own butter and get your own drink. Still in all the prices are cheaper here. I would recommend just behave like your in a quiet movie theater when you come.
Great customer service and very friendly
Small cozy theater, but it isn't the best maintained. I have been here a few times. This last visit the staff weren't the most professional. Movie prices are good. If you go on Tuesdays tickets are $5. You can get a slurpy and small popcorn combo for $5.
Really decent movie prices! Probably the lowest I've paid in a while. Food price were reasonable too!
Its very thilfy. It needs some more improvments and the prices are expensive. The workers are not nice either.
I am really not sure why is it a amc. Very dirty place. Did not enjoy the movie experience
Very affordable and clean
Best place for you and friends
No recliners. Other than that, its pretty good
Great customer service, clean and most of all cheap.
great place to watch a movie
It is dirty and understaffed.
Low movie prices and usually few people here, so less chances for noisy or distracting people.
Good one!
Went to this theater on a Saturday, early afternoon. We paid about $6 for each adult ticket and my 1 year old got in for free. The statement, "you get what you pay for" is certainly true here. You walk in and there's no one at the ticket booth-you buy your tickets at the concession stand. The staff was friendly except for one man-he seamed to be a Supervisor or Manager. He was using vulgar language to describe how annoyed he was that 2 of the 3 computers occupied by his employees were frozen. "Great, now I have to call the help desk because you're messing up my only working computers." He kept rolling his eyes and catching a child like tantrum in front of my family and the everyone else waiting in line behind us. The place is old and smells old. The bathroom smelled like urine. It's a small and cute theater-the place just needs some love and attention that's all.
Older theater but cheap ticket prices.
Food prices WAY TOO HIGH over $3. For a bottle of water are you kidding me
I come here often. I usually like it, but I've noticed a trend toward chronic and severe understaffing. The same people sell and take tickets and sell snacks. They also do not hustle and don't keep the line moving efficiently. Tonight there was a very long line. There were 3 staff present, but only one really working with customers. The other two mostly milled around behind the snack bar, not doing much. It took 20 minutes to get through the line, and we missed the short at the more expensive 3D movie, which was really short anyway. My daughter also had to move an area rug so a woman with a walker could get in. I don't think that they should take the time to try to sign people up for the loyalty club under these circumstances (long line/short staffed) it's not fair. Self-serve kiosks would be a helpful option. I hope this feedback will help.
Great price, bad smell. The place stinks and the bathrooms are even worse. New management needed. 1st run movies for cheap but you pay through the "nose", literally, in ambiance. Yuck!
The facility itself is nice and the seats are comfortable, but it was a little bit more dirty than it should. Plus the people in the movie we're talking and one guy even fell asleep and started snoring loud. Not the best experience.
Love how close is for my family and the movie's diversity.
Screen isn't as fancy as the theatre in Manchester, but I came here to watch a movie not judge the equipment
Cool theatre
Great movie experience with a cheap price
Great theater, never crowded, always clean, lowest priced in the Hartford area.
Its a smaller theatre but has very competitive prices. Decent movie selection.
Ga smaller theater, but really great.
Great movie theater
A local fave and affordable for the family. Lots of teenagers hangout here... FYI for those who want to know. Staff is polite.
Always clean and has extremely possessional staff.
Things are temporarily confuffled due to transition from Carmike Cinemas to AMC but it is a wonderful theatre. Sherry at the concessions is the one to go to for good service.
Really unpleasant experience. The theater is dirty, a lot of garbage around the seats. AC was really loud, almost cover the sound of movie. And the movie volume is too low.
I am a stub member and amc Bloomfield is bear to home so have to go here.. but Screens are not that big and chairs are not that comfortable enough.. also the theatre is somewhat low in maintenance..
It’s not clean and it’s old ,,, I thought that All AMC are the same as good as the others but this one wasn’t. It needs to be upgrade
Its a bit outdated and looks a little run down but ita cheap and often has movies that are finished elsewhere
The movies are great but the seating is uncomfortable plus they concession was not that clean
Standard small theater. No frills but solid screen, sound, seats and concessions. Enjoyed the film. Would a little more room between patrons be nice? Sure. But as a big guy, I was ok in my seat.
Clean, lots of parking friendly environment, cocktail, area.
Ok theater. Not very well maintained.
Great movie theater
i was satisfied with the service and the movie experience.
Ticket prices are super reasonable but the establishment needs to be cleaned better.
Not sure why It's never busy because it's a nice theater....love the popcorn buckets too.
Low prices but no bar or liquor.
Employees are uninterested in their jobs which is typical of a theater attendant position but I felt extremely unwelcome which is a first of any theater I’ve ever been to. Hallways smell of urine. Seats in theater 4 had huge brown stains on the seats and also smelled like urine. Just felt dirty. Dirtier than any theater should be. Projector was tilted so the entire film was about 7 degrees tilted to the right. I see now why the tickets here were to cheap. Movie was great but this theater was disgusting. Stay away.
Went to see Shaft. Excellent movie
Theater needs upgrading. Great price for shows!
Tiny theater full of obnoxious people... Won't go to again
From reading many of the existing reviews, many of my own observations have already been brought to the surface. Sometimes bad service from the employees and management, carpets are not vacuumed on a regular basis, floors between the rows of seats are very often sticky and obviously not cleaned. There is one manager who is particularly not sure about how to handle clients in a professional manner. This manager, who is stocky, blondish curly hair and wears glasses is sometimes rude, lazy, and has argued with me several times. If was not for the convenience of location and reasonable price and for the fact this theater shows the Met Opera HD Series, I would most likely attend another movie house.
Really comfortable seats. However, the same line used for concessions is the line for ticket sale. Not a good combination when a new movie is released and the line stretches out past the door. A theater of this size (6) rooms) should have enough staff on a Saturday morning/early afternoon so that the clientele will have proper customer services.
Great price to watch movies 6.50 but the food & drinks are more expensive than larger cinemas.
Good movie theater for the price.
great little secret in movie going; small theatre, clean and staff are polite and attentive. Costs so much less then going to some of the larger movie houses.
Disgusting, disgusting disgusting. I have never been to a movie theater that smelled like urine and allowed homeless people to come in and rummage through the garbage. Throw the whole theater away! The staff was nice though. Sucks they work in such a disgusting smelling environment.
Great little theater. Cheaper than Weha or New Park Avenue.
Cheapest prices in the area..restrooms are bad..small theater..good sound and picture quality
small but cozy theatre
I like to go to AMC once in a while during the winter . I have notice that management have change in the pass 2 years. It seems to be less professional and family friendly from a year ago. I notice a young group of kids letting friend in on the side door . Lack of security or a police officer. Not a safe place for family to let your love ones .
It's just really small. No real upgrades in years. Old school.
During the 6:30pm Avengers Endgame movie on 4/25/19 there was a baby in the theater crying every 10 seconds for the whole beginning of the movie. The staff came in twice to warn the mother then finally removed them after about 45 minutes. We missed all the critical conversations from the beginning since I couldn't focus over a baby crying. I was hesitant to post this so I didn't seem like a jerk picking on a baby but come on. Its the Avengers release day . We all waiting so long only to miss the whole beginning. Im a AMC Stubs Premiere card holder but this really just bothered me how it was handled. At this point I will never visit this theater again.
While yes it was cheap and you get what you pay for... I thought it was ridiculous that my boyfriend and I went to a 9pm playing of IT and as we're in line I watched the ppl at the concession stand not id young teenagers who worked there. Mind you they had 5-10 friends with them. So the whole movie all you hear is a bunch on young teenagers giggling, talking and even screaming and laughing out loud. It was the worst movie experience I've ever had.
$6.50 movies, usually not crowded. Could be cleaner.
Great movie theater. I've become a big fan of AMC theaters recently. The refillable popcorn bucket, $5 Tuesdays and AMC Stubs are all great values. Will continue to frequent this and other AMC venues wherever I travel and want to go to the movies.
A little old school, but price makes up for it!
Small theatre, popcorn and soda is always good!
This place is the worst theater I ever been too.. I waited on a Sunday about 3pm for about 30 minutes to get tickets... The floor dirty with popcorn every where. The floor sticky evey part of the theater.. The bathroom stink like urine and awful smell... this place I will never come to again..I would give this place 0 stars
Nice lens place
Great prices! Theaters can be a little cleaner. Could use a total shampooing of the seats.
Cheapest AMC I've ever been to. Opening seeking tickets are roughly 7 dollars like every other ticket (I estimated up). Food is still movie theater expensive. Is small and next to a neighborhood so most of the parents aren't home yet to bring their kids there unless it's the weekend.
Nice small theater great to watch a movie..
The theater we were in was like and oven, it was cooler in tge hallway. I told the manager and he did nothing.
I went Friday first time ever with my family and I wasn't pleased ,we went to go see ma which we was disappointed with the movie it self but the theater is nice the carpets really need to be cleaned because they sink and they need to monitor the children to much laughing, talking, and back n Fourth for a rated R movie. I will go back to see how my second experience will be I can say the staff is great!
I don't think it ever gets crowded.
Honestly this theater needs an update but you really can't beat the price. It's five dollars cheaper than other places. Very affordable!
Pay the extra 5 bucks and go to a better theater. Extremely dirty and run down. Noisy vents audible throughout the movie. Never again
I have been coming to this Cinema for a few years now. It is very reasonably priced and has all the first run movies as they come out. It is an AMC Theater and as such, you may use and earn Stubs rewards here. While they don't have the recliners, their seats are updated and comfortable. Once in a while you may want to bring a fleece as the AC can be strong in spring, summer and fall.
Affordable entertainment, great location.
You get what you pay for. Great staff but unfortunately understaffed. They theater/rooms smell terrible.
Great price, professional and comfortable atmosphere.
Bloomfield AMC nice afternoon to see Uncle Drew It was very funny. Touch of nostalgia never too old for your dream to die. AMC special on popcorn and soda is a good deal right now.
$6 all day every day!
Great spot great prices a d that manager she is the living best supporting alive and a great smile every time and those prices just e everything I need in a movie house
This was my first time going to this location and fully expected it to be this awesome experience like the AMC theaters I used to love in California but... Wow! This was nothing like those. This looks like a callback to the old, musky theaters of the 1970s with the cloth seats, humid smells, olde and earthy colors and rugs, drape walls and high screen. Despite the clear efforts of very good staff to do their best to keep things clean, it doesn't seem clean. The seats are very uncomfortable and cramped. This theater desperately needs renovation. I haven't seen one like this in decades and that's not a good thing. The best things about this location is that the staff were great and friendly, and that the screen and audio were very high quality. They clearly spent all their budget on making sure the screen is flawless and clean, sound is perfect and that the images are sharp with an excellent color gamut. This could be worse but there is a lot of room for improvement in this theater location for this chain brand.
Overdue for a bathroom overhaul...
Cheap tickets, cant be that but could use a little bit of touch up.
Is not bad how people described is a really decent theater what people expect Beverly Hills Come on !!!! It's a great place for me and my family great staff Movies looks great
Old and smelly theater. They only have 4 staff during the night, the manager, the ticket seller, the one who clean and the one who take your ticket. I went to see Aquaman premiere for Amazon prime memberd and by far this theater it's the worst!
Nice quiet move theater. Very clean also.
I love the prices and customer service
AMC CLASSIC is a great movie theater that offers lots of deals and good prices for many things that they sell. I just went and saw Solo and it was amazing there was nobody in the theater and we had it all to our selves. They also have a variety soda machine and they have all the flavors of Sprite Root Beer Coke and much more. If you are looking to go see a movie I suggest you visit AMC CLASSIC in Bloomfield.
Service good, hopefully they will update the seats to be more comfortable.
This is my second time coming to this theater and within 10 minutes of my friends and I being there we were extremely uncomfortable because of the employees. One employee in particular was extremely unprofessional and harassed my friend, accusing her of being “drunk” and making her move to get “out of the way of the camera” We showed up about half an hour before our movie and was waiting outside our theater, when said employee encouraged us to sneak in to another movie to kill time before the movie we paid for started. We politely declined but he forced us to move away from the cameras anyway so he wouldn’t get fired. Eventually he let us into our theater and continued to approach my friend unprofessionally, confronting her that she was giving him “attitude” and he was just trying to “help us out.” He then came into the theater and would not leave us alone. I’m writing this review before our movie has even started.
Great local theater
Great theatre affordable price. Just perfect for me.
Great value. Great service.
Enjoyed this place, popcorn and a movie. Can't beat that
Me andy wife had a great night, it was a small therater but it was a Sunday evening, just me and her, and a couple others in the movie, it was clean, and perfect price, we saw 'dumbo', we will frequent here this summer!
Good good good
Not too expensive and very comfirtable
Love it !!
Sticky floors to many teens
This was the dirtiest theater I've ever been inside of!!! We needed to get used to the nasty smell inside of the actual viewing area before we were treated to a very cold viewing, without any heating that we might feel or smell. The $2 you save off of your ticket is not worth the nastiness of this place. THE BATHROOMS are run down and the toilets peed on with holes in the walls... I'd say rip it out and start over!!!
NEEDS NEW MANAGEMENT When you walk in you're invited by the smell of shellfish. Very very run down. Carpets look like they have never been vaccumed. Bathrooms look like they belong in a horror movie and they smell like a dirty cat box. The theater smells like must and is very uncomfortable to sit in let alone watch a movie. The only plus side to this is the friendly women working the counter. This place needs a much more updated look and feel.
Very cheap ticket prices. We are talking <$10 a ticket. When I lived in bloomfield I came here all of the time. The inside is clean and they show all the most recently released movies. Definitely give this place a try!
It could be open more.
I love there popcorn
Loved my time here. Alexis was kind and sweet and recieved me with a great smile
I believe the workers name was Egglexis or something, she granted me great service and made my viewing experience exceptionally well. Will continue to return this establishment and appreciate how her customer service goes above and beyond. Props to her for taking care of a customer!
The prices are affordable but the theater is not very clean. The staff not very friendly. The bags of popcorn are small a large is more like a medium. If you are on a budget then i would go here.
Straight up - you get what you pay for! Paid 6.49 for movie and the seats were most uncomfortable for two hour movie. Sound was crazy high and my ears are paining. It was as good as watching movie on your home tv with just two extra speakers. Suggestions - for a better movie experience choose imax maybe!
Nice place to see movie nice theater great for dates or bringing your family.
It always seems like a place where you can take your family, and watch a good family movie, or if you like horror movies if that is your genre
I like goin to AMC with my queen The staff is friendly and the prices are great !
Can't beat $6 everyday all day
Best value around these days!
