It's a real bummer. I used to go to this place all the time when I was in high school and it was great. It used to be an awesome experience, and I have a lot of great memories there. But for what ever reason it just seems like it's gone down hill. I went to see toy story 4 last night and the movie stop showing except for the sound. The same thing happened the last time I went when suicide squad was showing. The was a dog barking the whole time during the movie so it was really hard to hear. It's just a bummer.

Movie and sound were great. A staff member was a little unpleasant when asking me to pull my car forward. Instead of any politeness whatsoever it was just someone screaming from 100+ft away while I tried to figure out what she was yelling about. Maybe she just had a bad day.

The only thing that was good was the movie.. the food was okish cause somehow for them it's easy to burn a burger when it's the only one in grill. Also when you go to the movies or a drive in and you bring kids with you, it is your responsibility to make sure that the kids are behaving and not screaming to the point where other people had to turn of more speakers so they can hear the movie..

Ok - this is actually for the Best Western Movie Manor motel, whose adjoining drive-in is the Star, and is where you can watch the movie from your room, and which is the only motel in America where this can happen: The rooms are clean and decently appointed and the breakfast is one of the best for motels in general. But... we requested a pet-friendly room (they advertise as being so), although upon arrival found that we were relegated to the "annex" where you could NOT view the movie from your room, and were not advised beforehand despite that less than ten percent of the 75-or-so available rooms were booked. Why else would you stay here? you ask. To say we were annoyed would be an understatement. Their only response was a free ticket to the drive-in. So, get with the program, Movie Manor! More pet-friendly rooms!

This is an awesome old drive in. The food is really good, and not as expensive as you would expect. The tickets are a very decent price for two movies. The owners are super friendly, and the place is very well kept and clean. Come out and enjoy. Lots of good times and memories to be made.

Great experience! The family and I have been here multiple times. Good restaurants nearby, relaxing atmosphere, hospitable staff, comfortable rooms, and nice place to recharge after we had camped in the surrounding scenic region. We fueled up on popcorn from the concession stand during the movie and the included breakfast. I hope this place is around for all to enjoy for years to come!! Sunsets and sunrises top off the experience.

The drive-in is always a wonderful, exciting place to go for movies; if you're willing to stay up late, you can get two movies for the price of one, and there's never a shortage of ideas on how best to enjoy the show: from the back of a truck, to the seats of your car, to lawn chairs and more, the only limit is your own creativity. The drive-in offers an amazing, old-fashioned experience unlike anything else in town, and I promise you won't be disappointed!

Like stepping into a time machine. Picture perfect preservation of yesteryear's authentic drive in picture show experience. Digital projection and FM-radio-transmitted sound were excellent. Or, if you prefer to go old school, the old metal speakers are on the poles, ready to hang on your car window.

composing this before viewing the movie. very cool place. having worked as a projectionist and being a lifelong movie fan this is a treat. the room is quite nice with a good view of the screen. the only nitpick so far-the tv selection sucks. no pbs? 30ish channels? really? like i said it's a small complaint considering free wifi and the drive-in, but still. saw in a review that the radio in room is tuned to fm channel for movie sound. nice touch! as for another review that stated "playground needs work" or some such nonsense, i've seen 7 or 8 kids having a swell time on all the "old skool" equipment. you know what opinions are like. i'm hoping i can finagle a quick look at the projection room. to all involved with this nostalgic gem, cracker-jack job!

We went to see Toy Story 4- the men at the gate were rude, the movie stopped part way through so we sat there wondering if we should wait or go home. The movie finally started back up again but we could not hear the movie at all between the poor speakers and the dog next door to the theater barking nonstop throughout the entire movie!

We love, love the Star Drive-In! My kids enjoy going to the food area and seeing the movie posters and then playing in front of the screen before the show starts. So much more enjoyable then the movie theater with little ones that like to move around and ask lots of questions. The staff is always great, part of being a family own business, and the food is my favorite part. Nothing is better than the cheese burgers and fries.

The rooms have audio for one of the two screens directly wired in; for the other you will need an FM radio (the room I was in had a clock-radio that was already tuned to the correct frequency). However, the rooms are quite far from the screens, so the experience is less like a movie theater and more like watching a movie on your cell phone. If you really want the best experience I would suggest watching from your car in the drive-in proper. Back in the days before cable TV, this would have been just the thing for a family of travelers with kids; now it's just a quirky way to watch a movie in your room. Rates are a bit higher than other lodging in the area.

I’m quite disappointed about the lack of information out there on this theater. No one answers the phone and even the Facebook page hasn’t been updated anytime in the last six years (honestly, how hard is it to update a Facebook page????). It would be nice to know a bit before we add this stop to our late-August itinerary, but looks like we’ll be skipping it due to lack of information. I wonder how many other people decide not to spend their pennies here because the owner has dropped the ball.

It's good. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is many of the speakers are broken or missing. If your parked forward and can use your radio that's not a problem, but parking backwards in a truck makes hearing the movie difficult. Still pretty good though.
