REVIEWS OF Century Boulder IN Colorado

Clean, good screens (very in size), not crazy busy, comfortable seats, normal pricing. My go to theater.

I am dead inside

Mr stark I don't feel good

Dawn Penland

I hate the seats. I chose the back row. I couldn't get comfortable at all. My back and neck hurt. If I wasn't with a friend I would have left. The only comfortable position for my neck was tilting my head down. I couldn't see the screen in that position. The volume to the movie wasn't very loud. Usually it's too loud. I couldn't make out much of Churchill's dialogue with his accent. I will never go to this theater again.

Andrew Carlson

Small screens. No worries about people's heads cutting off the screen though thanks to the stadium seating. I don't know if it's because it's a college town or what though but there are some really rude people that just openly talk during the movie. It's happened a few times now. This last bit is not necessarily the theaters fault but doesn't make me inclined to return.

Jon Brotherton

We had a great time. The seats were comfortable, the popcorn was buttery, the drinks were cold, the prices were average.

srav-yah

A great theater, comfy seats and good angles of the screen.

Rupak Shrestha

Seats aren't as comfy as compared to other theaters in the region.

snoboardz1972

This theater participates with available apps to buy your tickets and select seating before the show time, a very convenient option. Overall the theater is great because it's located in central Boulder and has multiple theaters available. It's not one of the newest theaters around but for Boulder and the limited movie watching venues available the Century Theater is a good choice There is a decent concession area and the food and drinks are average theater fare. Ample parking located in surrounding parking lots and covered garage spaces.

Tyler

Big comfy chairs, but not reclining. Fast service and nice employees. Accidentally purchased the wrong movie time and they were nice enough to move is to another movie time (+ it was 3D!) at no extra charge.

Akshay Singh

Decent movie theater. Only one in Boulder.

Ignacio Torres

I went on Tuesday looking to get the discount but it seemed like all of Boulder had the same idea. The theatre was packed. I had to sit up front. The usher now stands to the left of the box office so they can see you trying to stuff the outside drinks and snacks into any loose fold of clothing. Don't take bags or backpacks because they will be searched as that is now their policy. There was an ad at the beginning of the film that showcased all their concessions and it made them all look very delicious. I almost bought some food then I had to remember that I was there during the discount day.

Joe Medrano

Nice theater also the Deals on Tuesdays awesome

Ann Berens

a really nice movie theater that has quite a wonderful diverse line of movies. I believe that they also have special prices for the first showing of the day and I've enjoyed getting a monthly ticket which enables me to reserve seats for movies free online.

Rex Dickson

Best in Boulder but usually short staffed.

Angelbaby Sunofcrist

Jonathan at the ticket counter was beyond awesome. I was in a hurry and he was very helpful very professional and fun yet customer savvy note to the management please commend him and reward him I'm doing a damn good job cuz I am awesome customer service and realize the customer is the lifeblood of our business

Jared O'Quinn

The seats aren't super comfortable and beer is a bit expensive but the ticket prices are decent. They show a nice variety of films that the bigger theaters don't usually offer. The atmosphere is pretty calm and casual.

Hamilton Foster

Only one in Boulder so it’s worth the short drive. Seats are fine, but now that everything is so expensive, I recommend booking a seat in Louisville or flatirons instead.

Travis Pflanz

I'm not a Boulder local, but decided to take in an afternoon movie. I walked nearly 2 miles to the theater, and they wouldn't let me in with my bag. They didn't care. They wouldn't let me leave my bag at the ticket window, and said that searching the bag (for whatever) was not allowed. A theater in a shopping district and in a college town that doesn't allow bags is absolutely unacceptable. This type of policy makes me not even want to attend Cinemark theaters when I return to Kansas City.

Jeff Wirsing

Comfortable seats!

mines His

Clean ...no lines! Exspensive treats are expected at the movies right??? Family style seats are comfy even for our smallest trooper. Liked grabbing a glass of wine... And We enjoy and will continue to frequent this spot

Blaze Cooper

The seats are slightly smaller than expected, but the food is good and the screens are huge! Arcade does not have many good games.

scott anderson

I go there all the time Tuesdays are is there a discount day take my son on weekends all the time has good restaurants around it so why not have a good time eating and then going to a movie

Beau Baxter

Great variety of movies aside from major releases.

Scottie Nicholas

Awesome place to go to the movies great location located in the heart of the 28th Street Mall Complex. Comfortable seating great sound system staff is very helpful and friendly. FYI bring your own soda if you don't mind spending 20 bucks for 3 large sodas LOL other than that the experience is fantastic

John Ross

Fun place to watch movies

Connie O'Dell

Only available seats were in front 2 rows

S Angeles

We prefer the Regal theater in Longmont for it's spacious aisles and recliner seating, but have never had an issue with Century in Boulder. It is our second choice theater if Regal is not convenient or is sold out.

Stephanie Heacox

It's an acceptable theater, not particularly high-tech. They closed their ticketing machines, so if you're not using the phone app, you have to wait in line. It used to be that if you used a gift card, you didn't pay the extra online fee for tickets, but no more.

Matt

Great manager!

John T.L Hulstine

I enjoyed my time at the century theater. I thought that it was clean and we were able to quickly get assigned our seats for the movie. The staff were able to see to the needs of their customers relatively quickly, however there did seem to be some problems of communication. Several times patrons were looking for a staff member at one of the concession bars who was missing.

piyush bhardwaj

Had a new policy where office bags with laptops are not allowed. Done with them and their membership.

Debbie Rebar

Always a good place to catch a movie. It’s usually pretty easy to park and it’s in a great location if you want to grab a bite, beverage or some shopping before or after your movie. It’s relatively clean as movie theaters go, there’s a fun photo booth, and a small game room if you’d rather pass time that way. I find the food and drink options to be pretty standard movie theater fare and priced as such too - nothing special but all I expect from a movie theater.

John Wesley Heaton

Wow...what an incredibly disappointing evening! I was excited to see "A Star is Born" for its reprise in theaters and had blocked out my evening to do so. I biked to the theater (I do not own a car) and had a backpack with me with my gloves, hat, wallet, phone, etc. Upon speaking to the cashier, I was flatly told that I could not bring my bag inside the theater and that there was nowhere for me to store it. I asked to speak the manager. He, quite coldly, pointed straight to the sign behind him indicating there is a corporate policy against "large purses and backpacks". Robotically, he told me there was nothing that could be done. I asked for a refund and a free ticket to compensate for the time lost in travel. He denied me quite coldly. Having worked in hospitality, there was NO empathy, concern, or willingness to make things right. Century Theaters, you have lost a customer for life trying to save revenue on people bringing in Sour Patch Kids. Is this worth it? Probably not given the disruptive technology occurring making movie theaters a thing of the past. Rather than treat your customers with respect, I was given the cold shoulder. I will be sure to tell my friends about this experience and will not return to your business establishment. I will see "A Star is Born" on streaming service in the near future. Additionally, this policy discriminates against transit riders and cyclists. Where am I supposed to put my bag? Outside on the street? I will be following up with senior management.

Brian Abbott

I live near the Flatiron mall but choose to drive into Boulder just to use this theater. Love the popcorn and reserved seating system.

Jonathan Kraft

Saw a private screening of a documentary here, and the theatre seems very nice.

amber marler

Awkward line to scan tickets that were bought on line, another silly line just to get popcorn, no recliners but chairs were comfortable.

Dave Parsons

Cinemark brings some classic and special interest films. Pricey.

Chris Lilly

Great movie theater

Doug Standley

The theaters are getting run down and desperate for a good cleaning

Jeremiah Cruit

A decent movie theatre

Perry Bushey

Very clean theater and amazing seating and movie choice

Jeffrey Magner

This is a great movie theater beautiful new first-rate.

Charles Mckissick

Large concession. Clean theaters. Bargain Tuesdays!!! -$$$ Love the deal.

Mary Wade

Gr time ,loved the Daiquiri

Ben Fox

I went after work, they told me I couldn't come in with a backpack.... I don't have a car to put it in as I walked from work. I've never had this issue when I went previously, they said the policy has been around for a year. The manager and people were very nice, but told me corporate requires nobody have a bag for the last year. Because they are afraid of security threats. And, they can't have bag storage. It was really frustrating because now I have to call Fandango for a refund. What a weird world we live in. For students and people who don't drive everywhere this sucks.

James Phillips

Ample seating. Large selection of movies. Lots of parking. Fast service. And they serve wine.

Jill Brooke

It's such a nice movie theater.

richard elliott

Great theater to watch a movie

Steve Forstner

Good mix of indie films and Hollywood movies. Clean theater

Jason Vance

great movie theater. all the advice

Michele Marie

Average — typical for Colorado.

Gabri Why

I like this theater because it's right in the middle of Boulder and right in the center of everthing at the 29th Street mall. In this area, there are many different options for shopping and food. Five Guys is just around the corner. There's Panera, Five on Black, Mad Greens, Modern Market and that's just off the top of my head. There is ample parking, an underground garage and a few above ground lot as well. Sometimes can be busy and crowded. Usually the chaos doesn't follow you into the actual theater(as in, once you sit down). All in all great date night place, and a super great family friendly spot as well.

Eric Gray

Nice for an old school theater. It needs an update. I'm spoiled by reclining chairs and more room.

Cade Mead

Such bad costumer service I was refused for a small bag and the offer no where to put it, wouldn’t recommend to any one!

Rachel Heath

Theater is pretty good and I enjoy the fact that they have started assigned seating which has made it easier for me to meet friends at a movie and assure that we have seats together. However, the older lady who works there seems to ruin my experience quite frequently. She clearly doesn't know how to use the scanner for people using electronic tickets, but more prominently she doesn't have the best customer service skills and doesn't care about people in a rush to catch their movie. She responded that "she was in a hurry too" when chatting with a co-worker while I waited for her to simply tear off my ticket for over a minute. I cringe when I see her working when I'm going to a movie. She's hard to deal with while trying to maintain a positive outlook on the theater in general.

Brian Simmons

Nice theater. Covered parking very close which is very nice.

TJ Jones

Walked an hour with my backpack then refused service even though I’ve brought in this exact bag several times. Purses are fine but my man purse isn’t? Discrimination against a dude that doesn’t carry a purse? Merry Christmas.

Kelly ಠ_ರೃ

Great place to go see a movie, it's good that they have a discounted Tuesday so we get to go every week. :D

Tae Darnell

They need recliners but otherwise fine.

Marina Vance

Chairs rock back and forth instead of reclining, which is a little annoying.

TJ Burr

I went there to watch "Free Solo" on a cold, snowy Sunday. The free garage parking was nice. My movie experience was good. Movies with big scenery look better on the big screen. The movie was phenomenal. The lobby area layout could be improved. It felt crowded and the foot traffic flow was bad. When paying $20 for a movie and bag of popcorn, I expect the best experience in every category. The movie environment was good.

Trish Walthall

Great movie selection. Highly recommend RBG!

shannon m

Good service. Good popcorn. Just wish the seats reclined

Jack Newman

The employee attitude is pretty great (typical canned enthusiasm), but they said that I couldn't bring in my school backpack AFTER I purchased my ticket. While my female cohorts entered unfazed with bags and backpacks I had to frantically find a place to put my stuff, the staff wouldn't even hold my backpack for me. I then gave it to my girlfriend who AGAIN entered unmolested with a bag. I guess being a big dude with a bag is verboten in their policy, after all our large stature ensures that we can smuggle more contraband than a lady in the same bag (it has something to do with our height folding dimensions). The movie was fun though.

christopher deguzman

Always a fun time. Always clean! Awesome staff!

Sean Taylor

The floors aren't too sticky, stadium seating, they sell beer and you can get snacks for $75 or so.

Clovis Delmotte

It's sad that for such a bike / walking focused city like Boulder there is no option or way to check in / storage locker for bags. This needs to be addressed. Otherwise a good movie theater with cheap tickets!

Ameya Prabhune

No bagpacks allowed!

Stephen Tifft

Pretty standard movie theater, has good prices ($5 movie on Tuesdays). Clean bathrooms and stadium seating with good snacks. My usual go to theater but nothing over the top.

Kristen BbgO

The entire place was a mess. I am giving one srar because the person who took our tickets was nice and helpful. The popcorn guy seemed annoyed people wanted popcorn and butter on it. The chips and cheese, hot dog area was a mess. Come to find out after we sat down chips had expired and cheese wasn't even warm nor did it taste like cheese. Popcorn was everywhere. All over floor by snack bar, by drinks in the bathroom in the theater. It was EVERYWHERE!! Glad we don't live near here because we wont be back. Who would have thought..... Broomfield, Westminster and Arvada would all have better theaters, nice customer service and clean theaters, bathrooms and food areas.

Allie McCarthy

it's kind of your basic movie theater, but it smells better than the one we had back home so I'm giving it four stars. It would have gotten five, but they don't carry flamin hot Cheetos at the snack bar. Edit: they carry them now. 5 stars. They will also give you nacho cheese for dipping if you ask nicely.

Kimber Art

The best of Boulder fun!!

Melissa Quinn

Food was horrid, cashiers closed down with no sign to give direction, apathetic staff

Daniel LeCrone

Was in a theater room for an on line gaming competition well taken care of and interesting for my first mass game competition

Colby Moreno

Ticket prices were good. With the Tuesday afternoon discount they were just about $6. Everything else is expensive. The concession is set up "cafeteria style" which reduces everyone to a single line behind up to 2 cashiers which seems to slow down the process. The theatre is decent. The chairs are fairly confirmable but older and a little cramped. I would not pay full price for this theatre.

Grant Beveridge

Best Movie Theater in the area!

Paul Bailey

Good theater seating reasonable but slighly behind that of Regal at the Peaks

Kelly Mohrlang

Clean but uncomfortable seats

Stacey Potter

Awesome concessions, overpriced like all theaters but a huge selection. Comfy chairs, huge screens, good service, nice people, bathrooms are ok.

Jeff Teter

Great theater seating, fresh popcorn.

David Adair

A very good theater,we often go for The Met at the movies.

Pablo Chavez

Dirty place floor and carpets need to be clean more often. Service ok.

Philip Townsend

Wow, this place continues to get dirtier every time I go. It's a shame because it was a great theater when it opened, but it is going down hill rapidly, especially in the last two years.

Haley Hodges

Not the nicest Cinemark theater I've been to but I do love that it usually isn't particularly crowded or expensive

Luke Tetreau

My girlfriend and I frequent this theatre. We enjoy the ease of assigned seating and the staff is friendly. The commercials run about 10 minutes past the advertised show time, but if you show up a few minutes late you won't miss any of the show! Ticket prices are reasonable with a student discount, but remember your student ID.

DeWitt Harrison

This is a pretty straightforward movie multiplex which is clean and well run. They do screen a number of films other than the super-mega-ultra-ho-hum-blockbusters which is very nice. They also offer some discounted showings although it seems you may need to join their loyalty program to enjoy these in the future. Only issue is that parking is often a problem, even in the early afternoon and even though the theater is adjacent to a parking structure. (There may be some sort of commuter cheater parking issue that the shopping mall can't get on top of.)

Tony Martinez

Good location and nice movie theater.

Adrian Harrison

Great but expensive snacks

Stephen Williams

Some of my complaints may be due to age. It's an older theater. But I paid more for my tickets than Longmont regal. I paid the same for my two drinks and popcorn and received much smaller sizes. The theater itself looked like it hadn't been cleaned since the previous night, with trash stuffed in every cup holder and the floors sticky. I like most Cinemark properties and have liked this one in the past (thus it's not a star).

Jackie Farrell

The staff are SO NICE. some crazy lady next to me in my movie started cussing me out for no reason, and when I left they immediately gave my fiancé and I a refund and went to check it out. You could tell they were personally concerned, not just because it was their job. Will be returning!

Ali Owens

I witnessed a disgusting display of racial profiling last night by the staff at this theater. My friend and I, both white women, were leaving the theater after seeing a movie, and we saw a black woman arguing with a white male employee. Apparently she’d been denied entry because of the backpack she was wearing. The bag my friend had brought in was literally twice the size of the bag the woman was being told would prohibit her from entering the theater. We spoke to the manager, Jacob. “Look at the bag we were let in with. Why did she get stopped and not us?” All he kept saying, over and over, was “We have a bag policy – we don’t let anyone in with large bags.” Despite the fact that this was clearly untrue, based on our massive bag, he kept saying it. He seemed to not really care about the situation at all. We left the theater, got a couple blocks away, then, feeling like we should have done more, turned around and went back. As we approached for the second time, we saw the woman who’d been denied entry in front of the theater, having just hidden her backpack in a nearby bush so she could go in and see the movie. We talked to her for a moment and told her we were horrified at what we’d seen and that we planned on getting contact info for upper management. She decided to come in with us, so she retrieved her bag, and the three of us went to the front desk. On our way in, two white people walked out of the theater, both wearing backpacks larger than our companion’s. We asked them if they’d just seen a movie, and if they’d been let in with their bags. “They asked us some questions and then let us in with them,” they replied. Our companion had not been granted the courtesy of questions – she had been outright denied entry, despite the fact that her bag was smaller. Several employees, all white, gathered around while we explained why what we’d seen was NOT okay. One of them was the employee who’d denied the woman entry due to her bag. He apologized…to US. To the white women, not the woman of color who’d been discriminated against. He wouldn’t even LOOK at her. From that point, things escalated. The manager we’d spoken to before, Jacob, came to the front desk and proceeded to give us his personal guarantee that this incident had nothing to do with racial profiling. The whole time, he still kept insisting that they don’t allow entry to anyone with a large bag, and he kept smiling and shaking his head, as though he found the whole thing amusing and we were just being ridiculous. He said the only way anyone can get in with a large bag is if it’s for medical purposes. Our companion then told him she’s diabetic and had insulin in her bag, but when she invited him to search the bag to see for himself, he refused and still maintained that she couldn’t bring the bag into the theater. Another manager at the front desk, whose name we didn’t get, seemed to be a bit more understanding about the situation – until he interrupted what we were saying and asked, harshly and with a raised voice, “Can you please stop saying WHITE PEOPLE??” As though THAT was the problem. The whole situation was handled SO poorly. Not one of the employees even CONSIDERED the possibility that unconscious bias was driving the situation. I understand having a bag policy, but it must be enforced equally, or not at all. There were white people with large bags EVERYWHERE, and the woman of color was the only one who was being hassled about her much smaller backpack. This whole experience was incredibly disheartening. Not a single one of the staff members even acknowledged the possibility that racial bias could have been at play. They were all adamant that there was DEFINITELY, ABSOLUTELY no discrimination taking place – despite lots and lots of evidence to the contrary, right under their noses. I'll never spend another cent at this theater, and I suggest you don't either.

Franchesca Parker

Overall, the theater is a great, convenient choice for those of you who live in Boulder. Potential problems: The prices. It's typical movie theater prices. Also known as - a total pain in the butt to deal with. Most people, especially family and teens, or anyone in a large group. Assigned seats. This has usually worked actually very well for me, but every once in a while, you get the misfortune of sharing an experience with an uptight person whose ultimate goal is to police people and make a huge deal out of basically nothing if someone is in the wrong seat. Tips: go on a weekday if you don't like dealing with middle and high schoolers. Go after 8 of you don't want to deal with young children.

Aaron Shute

Good place. I like that they sell booze now.

Brad Dickens

I had to cancel my ticket because of their backpack rule. We bought tickets for the next show and had to pay more because it wasn't a matinee show. The guy, I assume manager, was unapologetic, didn't even comp the difference. If my backpack poses such a hazard due to its size, I would love to see you tell someone with a large Louis Vuitton bag that they can't come in. I have entered that theatre numerous times with my backpack. Provide a locker with a lock if you don't want backpacks in a city where everyone wears one.

Sarah Hrusecky

Good movies to choose from but a little on the slow side for food service.

jasper hoag

Tuesday is half off night so go then

Filthy Concertgoer

I've been to this theater maybe 10 times in the past couple months. -Picture quality noticeably worse than other theaters (dimmer and less clear) -Sound quality noticeably worse than other theaters and also too quiet -No screen masking, ever. +Sometimes gets interesting releases. +Cheap tickets on Tuesdays. I recently tried the AMC Flatirons Crossing theater (10-15 min drive from this one), and the picture and sound quality is miles better, and they have recliners there as well. So I think from now on I'm going to make the drive because the experience is much better there.

Seth Murray

I had a terrible Father’s Day experience with my son at this theater. After ordering a $10 beer and kids snack pack, I noticed the popcorn was less than half full. I asked for it to be filled, like it had been for the last 15 years of taking my kids to this theater, and they said no. I asked the manager and she said that’s how it should be. I contacted the GM Jeremy and he said the same thing with a ridiculous cut and paste email. So rude I’m never going again. This theater and Cinemark should understand why this is frustrating, and shrink the container if they want to be that cheap.

Rn N

Rode my bike here for a movie one balmy afternoon thinking about my gift to posterity (not polluting the world). Locked my bike outside while I scoffed at all the parked cars and the fumes they must have belched as they made their way to the theater. With the same air of smugness and pretentiousness, I bought a ticket while hoping for an environment friendly discount. It happened! No silly, not the discount. What happened was that I was kicked out of the theater. I rode my bike home...sad. Making the world a cleaner place one pedal-at-a-time -- even that did not cheer me up. My crime was simply trying to bring a backpack into this theater. I had guessed I could watch a movie and go to the groceries later. Well, RedBox, here I come. Please welcome me with open arms even though I am carrying a backpack.

Daniel Sullivan

As movie theaters go, this is a great one - conveniently located in Boulder, offering more than a dozen movies w/ reserved seating & comfy recliners, & near lots of fine restaurants!

Sasha Barajas

I really enjoy this theater! Love the fact that you can get your movie tickets a day or more ahead of time and the Tuesday night deal just can't be beat (note: if you purchase your tickets on line there will be a processing fee). The app is great, allowing you to view seat availability for your show and keeps track of your Cinemark points earned. The staff is always friendly and they do a great job of keeping the theater clean. There are lots of snack choices from ice cream, to beer, to protein bars, really you have your pick (unless you have food allergies/intolerances that is - didn't see many options for those folks. Also, word to the wise - sign up for their newsletter/email blasts. They send great coupons and sometimes even free screening ticket invites!

Daniel Markle

disgusting bathrooms, the customer service is terrible, night managers are worth nothing, are rude and entitled. refused to do their job

Liralen Li

I was glad that they showed My Hero Academia in the Boulder area. Just having access to that movie was really great and the whole process of buying the tickets in advance was smooth, easy, and exactly as I'd expected. I didn't like the headrest on my seat in the theater it was shown in, however, as I have a neck problem that has a real problem with headrests that push my head forward and in front of my shoulders, plus, my seat didn't recline nearly as much as my husband's did. Small things, in the scheme of things. But it did detract from my enjoyment of the movie.

Marcela Mosken

Awesome. Parking, no lines, fast food.

Gautam Aditya

Kinda messy. Popcorn everywhere. Seats are pretty old. The curved screens are nice tho

Cliff Spencer

Comfortable seating, with state of the art sound and video.

David Cain

This theater is comfortable and clean. My favorite detail is that you can reserve seats when you purchase your tickets in advance online, so there's no risk of showing up with friends and having to sit separately in a crowded theater. There are several parking garages next door, so it's always easy to find a nearby parking spot. And there are 15+ restaurants within short walking distance. I don't even leave in Boulder, but this is where I prefer to see a movie in the north metro area.

Carmelseed Boi

This is an amazing place to visit and cheaper tickets than other theaters nearby! Would recommend

Paola Nunez

It was my first time at this theater this past weekend. I went to see an independent film. I could not believe the amount of obnoxious people. First, the guy who made my coffee had no idea what the hell he was doing. It was undrinkable. Gave some girl a free coffee while we were waiting for our paid drinks. The manager didn't care. The guy behind me (at least 60 years old by the way as was most of the crowd for this movie), kept kicking the seat and putting his sandled feet up between me and my husband. I couldn't believe it. It felt like I was surrounded by teenagers. So much talking during the movie. They need to update this theater with better seats and better staff. Or is this just Boulder? I don't know.

Endeavor

The theatre is fine tbh... Longmont now has a better theatre actually but this place will get the job done and sometimes they show movies that aren’t playing anywhere else. As with all theatres, just sneak in your own food bc hell to the nawwe are we gon pay 7 bucks for a damn soda but Ight.

Amanda M

Great theater.

Henry Martinez

TV for t to to tvg by to h VB VB can gyg to c c g it vg

Nigel Sharp

Good cinema, comfortable seating and good number of screens. Could offer better deals on the concessions.. But overall never had a bad experience

Drew Sugarman

My wife and I routinely go on Tuesdays for the discounted tickets - it feels nice getting to see new releases on the cheap! Not sure why so many folks reviewing on here are getting all worked up about the fact that you pick your seat at the time of your ticket purchase - it does not strike me as that different from choosing once you're inside... To each their own I suppose. If having to choose a seat ahead of time is a deal breaker for you then you will not be a fan of this theater; if you are like 95% of the population and could care less about whether you choose a seat ahead of time or in person then you'll find it similar to most other major chain theaters with the wonderful exception of the cheap tickets on Tuesdays!

Jennifer Hein

John Wick 3, loved it!

Enrique Ramirez

Not the biggest or most comfortable theatre but it is in a convenient and nice location with good service.

Dong Kyeong Lee

good place and clean

Johnny olmedo

Great seats.. cost affective

Jerrod Mallinger

Decent theater good location!

Elizabeth Wolford

I have never been in a movie theater as repulsive and DIRTY as the Cinemark in Boulder. Not only was the entrance littered with popcorn, wrappers, napkins, and candy but there was a rancid smell in the actual theater. My legs stuck to the seat and my feet stuck to the floor. I will not be returning.

Amber Paterno

This is the dirtiest theater I’ve ever been to! Horrible cleaning service.

Your Everyday Etheo

Better seats than the AMC theatre I've been going to for the past 13 years, they also dont try to scam you out of your food by making "combos" here. Went to AMC a year ago and my dad bought us a combo that actually costed a dollar more.

K. I.

always overcrowded. the only seat we were able to get is on the 2nd row from the screen. Also too loud. I forgot my earplugs, bummer.

Javier Hernandez

Nice movie theater

MrBaldntatted

Good prices, great customer service.

Trinity Rieck

very nice but food prices are overwhelming. a water, box of candy and large popcorn was 17 bucks!! too much is you ask me, but that's how it is. very good experience otherwise

Nathan Wright

Good theater, clean and nice selection of concessions. Seats are assigned which is not my preference but seems to be the way things are going now.

John Basso

Good staff. Reserved seating. Drinks. They offer a club that can save you money on tickets if you see movies monthly.

Elizabeth Hess

Solid movie selection. Wish their chairs reclined though.

Quite Refreshing

Pretty good. I was here when this place first went up. It was my first job. Burned myself on the popcorn machine and didn’t go back after one shift. Good memories, eh memories. Just a movie theater.

Jonathan Herd

Awesome theatre!

J Weber

Good theater

Jim Mansfield

Only theater in Boulder and has made some nice updates recently with its new full bar and better concessions. Easy parking and has all the latest movies playing. Only game in town in Boulder but good enough to keep you from driving out of town to Louisville or Flatirons Mall.

Ben Rodgers

Nice spot

Great multiplex theater. We love Marilyn, the ticket taker. Such a lovely, helpful and gracious host. We've had numerous interesting little conversations with her. We're always glad to see her.

Great service... Better priced than Longmont

I was not allowed in because I had a backpack. My car was being serviced at the subaru dealership and I had a few hours to burn so I figured I'd see a movie. They refused to let me in with my backpack. I offered to let them search my backpack but they said they were not aloud to search my things. I didn't have the option of putting my backpack back in my car. Never will I support century theatres again.

Good theater with a large choice of movies

The concessions had a good variety. The seats were small and barely reclined. No footrest, so the person behind me kept kicking my seat and pushing on it, which made it even harder to recline. Not fun, when you're watching a 3 and 1/2 hr movie!

This place is a beauty it is big and it is just amazing

The movie was good. The seats were comfortable. But best of all were the people! My wallet slipped out of my purse. I didn't notice that it was missing until the next day. I turned the house upside down and found lots of missing stuff but not my wallet - because my wallet was at Century Theatre. When I finally called the day after that, they had it. I picked it up. Everything was still in my wallet. I don't know how many people were involved in keeping my wallet safe for me, but I want to thank all of them.

They seats could use some remodel.

The theater is big, but dirty. The food area had not been wiped down or swept in a long time. The seats are comfortable and you get a good view of the screen. The theater had trash in the cup holders and liquid on the floor.

Sat in a small theater. With assigned seating. Different from the larger movie complexes. Not sure I appreciate the assigned seating

I just had the worst experience at the Century Theater in Boulder. The manager kicked me out of the theater because I had my backpack. According to their policy, no backpacks are allowed inside the theater, although I have been visiting the same theater frequently for over a year, always wearing my backpack, and that was never an issue until today. I asked the manager whether they offer any alternative to customers who wear backpacks - like a place where they can store their personal bellongings. To my question the manager answered that they don't offer any storage place. In my opinion, every responsible institution would offer such an alternative, but century theater is obviously no such institution. Their policy therefore borders stupidity to an extreme level and it is ofensive to customers. They wasted my time and increased the level of stress that they can't possibly 'refund' me for!! Horrible experience that defies human intellect!!!

Mot of the staff were friendly. But the place needs a good cleaning!

I arrived to this theater with a backpack, measuring 14×6×6", which was barely outside of their 12×6×6" policy. I was obviously unaware of this policy. I offered to let them search my bag, but was turned down. Instead, I was told I had to hide my backpack outside. My backpack which contained my $1500 laptop. I got my ticket refunded, but was not apologized to, but treated like I did something wrong. If you are going to implement a bag policy, provide a place to put large bags that do not fit this policy. Now, I wasted an afternoon, and was not even apologized to for wasting my time.

This place is great. But the worker who check the tickets and the manager has really bad attitudes towards foreign people. They allowed a blond hair American lady with a backpack walked into the theater, but stopped me and my friend and the reason is because our backpacks r bigger than hers. But when I say call that lady back to compare the sizes, the worker refused and she said “ I don’t know where she went”. How come a American can go enjoy her movie with her backpack on, and I can’t? And the manager said they use their eyes to measure the sizes of backpacks. This is ridiculous and shameful.
