It was hard to find. Took 15 extra minutes to figure out you have to go through the building to get there. And once you already know you figured it out on your own, there's a single 8.5" x 11" piece of paper placed at eye level with a 4 year old demarcating that you have in fact arrived. Front desk or housekeeping was not very helpful. "It's to the right of the pool" means nothing when a pool is in the center. Bartender was pushing doubles on everyone because they were leaving early. People behind me were talking through the whole movie bc they were plastered. *audible backfire* They were so loud i heard them through the headphones we all had to wear. *second backfire* But, Popcorn dude was on point though. Not going to lie.

Absolutely love the ambiance. It’s decorated very nicely with a photo wall and cute movie stand up displays. They play lounge music before the movie and have games like Jenga. There are many options for food and drinks. The view is spectacular and the customer service is excellent. If you’re coming with a date get cozy with their blankets in the love seats. Highly recommend. Enjoy!

My first time here. Watched the Goonies. Overall experience was pretty good except for the customer service. Also since we were outdoors the dreaded downtown inhabitants were crawling when I was waiting for my popcorn. Nothing done to correct that problem.

Friends had sold their tickets to me and my boyfriend, and it was our first time going. The seating was nice, we had the loveseat option and though we were on the end, we could still see the screen perfectly. It was very cold that night and the blankets they provide are pretty thin so I recommend bringing heavier clothes. The bottomless popcorn was nice, however if you leave it out too long it gets a big soggy from the cold air. The headsets they use were good quality and you can adjust the volume a lot, however, they are not good if you want to have quiet conversation with the person next to you. Halfway through the movie we just used my headset around my neck so we could both hear it and still talk. Overall, beautiful place, I think it'd be great to go back and watch some of my favorite or classic films there.

We got there just before the movie started, but all the seats were filled even though we purchased tickets. The location is cool, so it might be best to get there an hour or so before the movie starts to stake out your seats.

Suuuuch a sick location. Right in the heart of down town San Diego, you’ve got the picturesque skyline and the harbor views on all sides! Fun to watch the sunset here right before the movie. And the seats are more comfortable than you might think! Highly recommend this experience!

Mostly a good experience. Being on the 4th floor of the hotel and out on a deck did make for a cool and romantic experience. There are better food options in the area though. Also, I had intermittent headphone signal issues or something which would cause noise or pops. I sat in the middle at the outer edge, so I dunno what that's about. Oh, and fireworks went off in the harbor for several minutes in the middle of the movie, so that was amusing. I guess those things aren't publicized?

Free blankets, headphones, and comfy seats while you enjoy the movie. It's a unique experience to watch a movie outdoors on a rooftop, and I'd highly recommend. Definitely worth the trip downtown if you're spending money on going to the movies anyway. Drink and food are pricey, but that was expected.

It’s a really cool concept. The drinks were a bit pricey for what they were. But it validates parking, so yolo. They only have a small popcorn machine, so when you pay for “unlimited” you are really paying to wait in a constant long line. It’s not that big of a deal, but a little annoying. They have a limited number of blankets and it gets chilly so make sure you bring a jacket and probably your own blanket/another one to be comfortable. Overall, it was a cute, fun time :)

We came to celebrate our sisters birthday. What a fun way to enjoy enjoy a San Diego summer night celebrating with an all time classic, “Dirty Dancing”. As a first time Rooftop cinema attendee, I had a good experience and would definitely do it again! This is such a good idea and I love that they play classic movies. They provide blankets and wireless headphones. They have a cocktail bar, candy, a small food menu and other refreshments. Come early to claim your seat, they have a bunch of outdoor games to keep you entertained.

For the price......individual teal chairs were comfy, but wider navy chairs were not - couldn't sit up straight, no arm rests, too low, fortunately we were able to switch. I would tell people to BRING BLANKETS as it is windier up there - dress for coolness. Saw some very inappropriately dressed people who were clueless - they need you to TELL them, not suggest.. Also, headbands hurt my ears/head with the pressure. Ear bud style would be better, especially for those of us with glasses and the ear piece of the glasses frame gets jammed into our heads. So a transmitter that goes around your need with earbuds, like at a museum, would be awesome. Really didn't like coming at 6:45 to get seat and eat there (and almost NO ONE was up there) and 25% of seats already "saved." Obviously people came up, dumped their stuff and left. I think you should be able to reserve your seats. If not, then it should be once you enter, you can't leave except for the bathroom or to get sweater, but not to save seat and not show up for two hours. Better to go to reservation system. That way it also avoids the single seat only in a row available when couples were looking for seats at 8:20 in the dark and couldn't find them. Or the people who didn't know/couldn't see the chairs that were "saved" by only having headphones draped over the back. Many of us were first-timers, and saving of seats made it confusing - especially if someone took you up on your offer to try Hyatt restaurant with the discount first......and then found no seats together. Really really should be a RESERVATION system. Otherwise I MUST come 2 hours early, and that's not right, nor customer friendly. Also, no signs at the elevators to tell you where to go for movie, nor any on the floor area (until the door at the very end), was confusing and not helpful. You do it all the time, signage should be a no-brainer. The containers for the "endless" popcorn should be double the size - kept having to get up and down from those low chairs (as others in our row) and squeeze by everyone to get more, that you could eat in 5-10min easy. It should be the equivalent of a movie theater large, that would lessen the up and down disruptions and probably not really cause anyone to overindulge. But, the ambiance was nice, small selection of food good, ear sound was good, movie visual quality excellent. Just enough items need to be addressed before I know whether I would want to return again.

Such a great concept. Fig and goat cheese flat bread was delicious and the cocktails were well made. The chairs are very comfy. Most of all the servers are awesome! Bar tender shook our hand upon arrival and Destiny our server could not have been sweeter or more attentive. Highly recommend this experience.

Super cute and perfect for a GNO or date night. Food is okay and drinks are pricey but expected because of the hotel. I highly recommend to spend the money to enjoy SD rooftop views. You can bring your own food and drinks. I would recommend to bring a blanket because it does get a bit chilly.

This was such a fun unique experience! You park in the parking garage for the hotel, take the elevator to the Lobby, then you follow the signs to the other set of elevators to the 4th floor. They have a decent amount of signs to point you in the right direction. Once you're on the 4th floor you walk across the tennis courts off to the right and you'll see the movie area. We got there right at 6:30pm and there were already a decent amount of people there! We first grabbed their free blankets (facing the stage they are up near the screen on the left in a basket), then we went and found our seats for the movie. Once we claimed them then we went to check in, get our head seats, and grab some food. None of the food reviews have been great so we got nachos, that's always a hit After we ate, grabbed our popcorn since we paid for unlimited. If you're going to get popcorn, you might as well choose the unlimited one with your lounge chair, it's $20, verse $17 just for the chair. Popcorn at the show is $3.50 so really you're saving .50 if you only get one popcorn. We obviously got more than one tho lol After the show you can go to the 40th floor of the Hyatt and you get 15% off drinks at that bar. Great experience, defiantly will do again.

Saw Harry Potter at the rooftop, it was so much fun they played music from the movie while waiting and sold tons of food and drinks so that it was entertaining to wait while the movie starts. There was also giant jenga and uno to play. We did get here very early to get a seat, at 6:30pm, which I definitely advise! It gets cold so wear warm clothes. They do have free blankets. Food pricey so beware.

I met up with a few woman from a movie meetup group, because I had never heard of this venue and it sounded like a great plan. We met across the street at Seasons 52 (best lobster bisque btw) for drinks and food, beforehand. This is in the Hyatt Manchester downtown which is beautiful inside and out. I took some pics of downtown from where the movie screen was. It was a cozy, smaller area that seemed really homey, and laid back. There are drinks available but be sure to bring a debit/credit card because they are cashless. The lounge chairs were incredibly comfortable, and they had ample blankets available, although one sufficed because it's so beautiful here in San Diego! Definitely recommend this place. Nice for couples night out as well, (although I don't fall into that category)!

So we took the elevator up to the 4th floor and found ourselves in a random hallway the spills out on the tennis courts. We walked through the tennis courts and found our oasis. Fake grass and lawn chairs with a movie screen, carne asasda, and beer. Sunsets, cornhole, music, popcorn, views... I hope the movie is good. This place is top notch, love the way I feel here. Awesome venue.
