got to hang out here for the afternoon when my brother and I traveled to California in order to attend the Microsoft Xbox fanfest event for 2019. The theater is quite large and in excellent condition. it is right near the Staples center and the Microsoft theater.

OMG I tried a lot of movies theatre's all over the world but this is the best one so far in everything, super quality screen + good snacks and of course Starbucks is there too, you can bring whatever you want from outside with you.

Got to experience 4D for the first time at this theater. Went to see venom and I was not ready for any of it. Kinda felt like I was on a roller coaster the visual and physical effect were amazing. Definitely something you should experience.

This is my theater however i dont recomend the food first time I have a bad experience besides the high cost. I found a hair on the popcorn and I submitted my complaint w/ the manager all I got was a $9 refound the workers doesn't wear a hair net or have their hair pull back they need safety food handling classes and requirements. Regal Please implement more safety food handling.

A little more then most theaters but it's located in the heart of downtown so what do you expect. They say they have parking but I have yet to be able to use it. But this theater is one of my kids favorites because of the location. Not all theaters here have the reclining seats so make sure you check before you buy your ticket if that's what you're looking for.

Good place to watch movies. I go here all the time with my fiance. Prices are decent. Snacks are pretty expensive though. It has all the latest movies. I had a fun time here

It was expensive they made me validate my ticket and still pay $10 to leave the parking area what the funk was that about All I wanted was to have a good night and watch a movie with my girlfriend not waste $70 just to watch a mediocre movie

4DX is a bit pricey for a movie...but I'm all about new technology. It's like being on a ride in the theater. If you get motion sickness, this really isn't for you. Otherwise, wait for a great action movie and go see it in 4DX.

Came here for a film festival and enjoyed the seating-- this is a HUGE theater. Service was good overall. Snacks and parking are expensive, but that's the same at every theater. Heads up: parking is fully automated, so you will need to take your ticket to get validated inside the theater and then pay at a machine in the parking lot before returning to your car. VIEWS: Okay, that said, the best part of this theater is the views of the city that you get from the huge windows that look northeast. I bet it's gorgeous on a rainy day or just after a storm at sunset. Several floors have these views and these big open waiting spaces are probably a nice for lingering before or after a film with a date. Pro tip: time your date/movie to a sunset start or finish. ;)

Great 4DX! Security searches you so I wish they would do that before your concessions purchase. Loading it all up to put it all back down is not easy. Beautiful theater though. You pay for parking in the garages. Also the theater is close enough to walk to the garment district. Its about a 1 mile walk. That was fun while we waited for your movie time to come.

I just got back home from watching Aquaman, my first movie here at LA LIVE and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I was able to bypass the horror of handing over my precious money thanks to two free passes I've held on to. So, I can't speak about pricing but I do have a few other comments to share. There were several bike racks available in front of the box office, which was nice. After entering, a security guard did quickly rustle through my backpack and failed to notice a few snacks I'd left in there. The lobby was very well cleaned and perfect for a few quick snapshots of the LA downtown skyline. The theatre itself was just as it should be, clean, dimly lit, and a bit chilly. I have only one complaint, the closed door to the men's restroom. You have to physically turn a doorknob to enter and exit. I've seen men all my life walk out the restroom without washing their hands and the thought of sharing a doorknob with them makes me cringe.

Can explore dtla/go to dinner then watch movie and after you can go for a drink or something.. It gets fairly busy but there so many theater rooms i dont think it really matters? They sell alcohol, only beers i think and only one per person..

Theatre is nice, clean, quiet but the parking is the worst. That little lot gets full and if you’re lucky enough to get a spot, exiting is at least another 10 minutes. Parking at LA Live is not an option, why pay $28 or $15 if after 9pm ???

Got the standard seating. Seats are comfy but if your in between people it can be a bit snug. Other than that there's plenty of seating with good views. Nice modern theatre. Parking can be a bit expensive, it depends. Plenty of "event all day parking" lots all around.

I have had multiple bad experiences here so I will try to summarize. First things first the people at concessions don't know how to do anything! My friend ordered a beer and all he got was a cup of foam, I ordered a hot chocolate and got a cup of brown water, Honestly it looked and tasted like something that will come out out of a old faucet. Me and my friend gave them the benefit of the doubt and went back to this place and ordered the same thing and got the same exact problems we got. Los Angeles Comic Con was in town and I got myself a rare sign poster by the artist and creators. And I thought since I'm by the movie theater why not see a movie after the convention. I put the poster behind my chair so I don't step on it, but foolishly forgot it there. I realized I forgot it there with in 10 minutes of leaving the theater so I came back and asked the staff if I can check if my poster is still there and they said yeah we saw it but we threw it away. I asked them don't you guys have a lost and found and they said no everything we find we either keep or throw away. Shocking I know. I asked the employee if they could check the trash and the person agreed. He comes out with a ripped dripping poster. And said do you still want this? What would you have done in this situation?

Wow. What a great theater. Had to be the best sound system in a movie theater anywhere. It was as powerful as any system in a concert venue. The movie "Aquaman" had some of the best sound effects and special effects ever seen. There were thousands of people and numerous special effects companies that worked on the special effects in the movie. Go see it.

You will be sitting next-to a woman who won't put her phone away. Guaranteed! I've never seen a staff member tell someone to put their phone away. Even in the 4dx movies(tix are over $30) and the guy in front of us was scrolling through Instagram the entire movie. Not worth it, just wait till you can rent it.

It's nice, it has multiple floors, lots of options, and ticket prices are reasonable. Other than that it's on par with most other theaters, snacks and drinks are expensive and I've definitely sat in better seats. Bathrooms are easy to locate though!

Distance is convenient and parking is good, we hardly ever find a crowded parking lot or theater there. Their Tuesday special is good too! Check it out! I just took my family to this place for the 1st time and we had a great time. Multiple restaurants, coffee places, bars, theater +++ I highly recommend this place. Just make sure its not on a game night! Its across the street from the Staples Center.

I thought I wouldn't be a fan of one scene movies, but this one caught my attention and kept me interested from start to finish. There were five people total and I wasn't mad about it, gave me the chance to use both armrests. I ordered the 'Spicy chicken sandwich with fries' which was absolutely delicious. The fries are very crispy and the chicken sandwich was good. It was no Chick-fil-A but it still wowed me! The only downfall about this experience is how close the seats are together, I liked the rocking it had, but in the end, it was the closeness that turned me off. I also really appreciated how the huge the screen was. I didn't bring my glasses so I was scared I wouldn't be able to view the movie clearly. Overall I enjoyed the food and the comforble, clean surrounding this first time experience gave me! *Police guards check bags before you go inside the theatre*

The theater itself is great, but, unfortunately, many members of the audience have become extremely rude recently. In almost all of our recent trips, there have been extensive problems with talking and people being on cell phones during movies. I can't rightly recommend you attend a screening of a film here considering these issues, which is sad since the theater and staff have little control over these kind of problems.

Do NOT park at Lot #4! Even though Regal's own website says to do so, and that they validate, I have been told TWICE now that I never got the ticket validated (I definitely did, especially made sure the 2nd time) and an $8 fee turned into $28! I gave them the benefit of the doubt the first time, but after two I smell a scam. Park literally anywhere else besides Lot 4. The fact that Regal lists them FIRST on their website is the reason for the review also being posted here. You've been warned.

4D theater available here. Came to watch Star Wars and had to come back because the movie stopped working 10 min in. Came another time to screen a movie with co-workers and found out there are multiple theaters here. We asked for help right where we walked in and the employee was so rude and simply told us we were in the wrong place. There were no signs or identification system (wayfinding) in place that would let someone know there are to separate theaters here. We walked through that lobby about 10 feet and the employee there was far more helpful.

Kind of disappointed. The first time you get your tickets, they tell you which theatre # you have to go in. They don't tell you that you could buy popcorn/other items upstairs. Seats are comfortable. When you park in front of the cinema itself, no one tells you need to VALID your parking ticket in the cinema. Apparently when you do show them your parking ticket, they stamp it and you get a lower price for the parking.

I love the theater, excellent customer service. The pricing although, it is a tad bit outrageous. Security should check every person coming through the area to go to the house of the movie of their choice, to prevent any emergency situations. As a security guard, it should be required that every person is subjected to be searched regardless if they do or don't have any luggage or belongings to their person.

I watched Lego Movie 2 here on a Sunday evening. The front of the movie theater looks pretty cool, especially at night. Because of that, it is pretty easy to locate. Theater: Probably the biggest theater I've seen. The movie was showing in theater 1 and there were probably at most 5 parties watching that night. The seats are ok, not reclining, so not super comfortable but not too upright. Concessions: I wanted to buy popcorn, but after seeing the prices, I decided not to ($7.00 for a small). Parking: $8 for the first 4 hours with validation. Too expensive. Overall, I thought that it was a nice theater. However, the parking alone kills it for me. I will probably never return to this cinema just for that reason. $8 for parking after validation is pretty ridiculous, I would rather drive somewhere an extra 5 miles away to get free parking.

I love regal theatres! Especially when I want to experience a movie in 4D, this is the place!. One thing tho, unfortunately I came to watch Avengers here last night and not only were the tickets for Avengers 4D very expensive($30) the chairs themselves need to be lubed up! Through out the whole movie you can hear the chairs make horrible creaking sounds when they move or the chairs actually twitch and make a sound like it's stuck. That ruined my movie experience!! I couldn't get into the movie because of the sounds from the chairs :( please upkeep your theatres better, especially for that price for 4D. * Side note, thank you for the extra security!!

Experience was great! I went to watch IT Chapter 2 in 4DX and it was amazing. I enjoyed my time there and it feels just like other theaters. The popcorn is good and the snacks are great but they are overpriced compared to in store. Of course though, that would be in every theater. But it was great.

I found Los Angeles movie theaters are unique in the United States. In Seattle yes we have some gorgeous theaters, like those in Lincoln square or southcenter. But here, there is more of a reverence for film. The influences are everywhere, and patently obvious. This theater is no exception. Even in one of the smaller theaters the sound was great the picture great and the seating... Well do I have to keep saying it? A great experience, definitely something to do within Los Angeles especially downtown if you have a few hours.

AWSOME theater. Very empty on weekdays, good if you like the theater to yourself and your party. Second story snack bar is rarely open, so you have to go down stairs if you want more snacks.

Tonight was the worst experience I ever had at this theater. I still love the movie" US " which I enjoyed. However, the customer service exiting was totally ridiculous! I went to the counter to get my ticket validated, like I normally do when I leave the theater. When this wretch asked me for my ticket stub. Not realizing my son had them in his pocket across the hall. So I'm scrambling through my purse and I can't find it. She says if you have the tickets on your ph show me. Ugh,I explained to her I printed my tickets through my job. So I'm like let me call my son. She's still standing there looking like... I'm not going to validate your ticket. Like where/when did movie theaters ask for your stub after spending all kinds of money entering their place and lets not forget concession stands ? Like seriously? I was one word away of saying let me speak to your manager, when she took my ticket and validated it. How uncomfortable and disrespected I felt. I am going to call them in the morning! Like I'm a regal card member. I go to the movies often and this is totally rude! Just not making any sense to me! I hope that never happens again, let alone to anyone else!

I was running late (all my fault) for a private screening. I had just ran 8 miles & was starving. So I definitely had to stop by concessions. My me, me, me, kicked in as the cashier was getting my popcorn. I took a deep breath cause I realized she was adding extra butter with L-O-V-E! I’ve never seen anybody really take their time to do popcorn, butter, repeat. So grateful. Everyone was so genuinely helpful....even down to security. Then when validating my parking ticket, the last person I had contact with gave me service with a smile. This is the reason I will still pay to go to the movies. Thank you so much!!!!!!!!

What Rambo for the first time in 4dx(somethiing like that) where you feel the action in the chair. It was a cool experience for it being my first time but my partner said it was enough action in the movie to pay that price.

Place is great and clean. The only this I felt uncomfortable by was the constant walk in by a walk in by a security or cop to see if the emergency exit to see if the door was locked after would walk and give a intimidating stare to the audience. WTF is that about? I'm trying watch a movie not be afraid that I'm gonna be trapped in here and feeling like there is no escape. If someone could explain why this happened thay would be great. The movie was Once upon a time in Hollywood at 5:30pm in room 14 3rd floor Thursday August 15.

Well to be honest there are a lot of people that treat the movie theater like it's their own personal living room. I've had my movie experience ruined by individuals that just won't shut up or stay off their phones while the movie is going on. My wife & I honestly don't like going to the movies anymore because of this. I can't wait for the day when features are released at home the same time they are released in the theaters. If you can, go during the week. Pretty slow, no lines to deal with. Saw my first movie in 4DX today. It was pretty intense but fun. Took several minutes for my head and stomach to get used to it (I had a big lunch beforehand) but I enjoyed it.

2 drink maximum. Needs to get out of the past and install some recliners. I hate going to this theater but I usually win contest and get tickets for it. Yes you need to pay for parking and don't forget to get your parking ticket validated or else you'll be paying $10+ and up to $28 max depending on which lot you're at.. On this visit 04/29/19 soda was flat and watered down. Popcorn was really salty. I was at a private screening of Endgame and employees kept coming in and checking the exits. For being where it is and the amount of tourist and locals that visit, you would think they would have enough money to upgrade it to a great theater but no, my cheap ghetto theater by house has recliners for Pete's sake!

Great 4DX! Security searches you so I wish they would do that before your concessions purchase. Loading it all up to put it all back down is not easy. Beautiful theater though. You pay for parking in the garages. Also the theater is close enough to walk to the garment district. Its about a 1 mile walk. That was fun while we waited for your movie time to come.

I’ve been coming to this theater for almost 5 years now and it’s my to go see new releases. I saw the last two Hunger games in 4DX which it was great and worth it. The staff are nice I’ve never had a problem. The food is great I’ve tried most of it and it’s alright but the new Cheetos popcorn are my favorite snack. I love coming on Tuesday’s for discounted tickets and 50% off popcorn. Overall it’s a great theatre and I love coming with my family to enjoy new movies.

I've only had good experiences here. This place works with atom which helps get cheap tickets. The staff I've encountered have been very helpful and friendly. The screening room are always clean even if after the movie people don't clean up after themselves. The employees seem to work hard to keep the place clean. The restroom has always been restocked and smells clean.

Instead they charged $28 for 5 hours!! The girl there was a real idiot! Telling us the sign explains it, but when we caught her lie. She said, oh well it's 28$ and you have to pay! I'll be calling someone tomorrow, to make it right

Went to see the movie Avengers at the cinema. Avengers was epic Omg. The area with the food the servers are very helpful. My husband got fries and nuggets tasted good. The quality of the movie was great. The screen is big. Seating was good easy to identify. I thought the seats could have recline but it doesnt. Lol. Only thing to enter inside the movie area had a slight smell. Toilets clean. Tuesdays has a special $9. (Do not know if it is ongoing, that is a pretty good price as opposed to $14 per adult). Popcorn as well cheaper. However we enjoyed our experience there.

Theater/movie looked great but the seats were horrible and by horrible i mean they were uncomfortable. I was almost unsure if they were broken. The concession stand service was okay and i say okay because their was a line and nobody was helping and no one knew what register was open. It's nice, it has multiple floors, lots of options, and ticket prices are reasonable. Other than that it's on par with most other theaters, snacks and drinks are expensive and I've definitely sat in better seats. Bathrooms are easy to locate though!

It's a very nice theater. Very clean. Only problem is, it's very expensive. It costs more to go to this theater than any regular theater. $17 per person for a regular showing of a regular movie without any food?! Plus you have to pay $8 for parking if you get validation?($10 without) I'm sorry. Too expensive. Nice theater, great security, decent service(slow concession line). Nah too pricey.

4D theater available here. Came to watch Star Wars and had to come back because the movie stopped working 10 min in. Came another time to screen a movie with co-workers and found out there are multiple theaters here. We asked for help right where we walked in and the employee was so rude and simply told us we were in the wrong place. There were no signs or identification system (wayfinding) in place that would let someone know there are to separate theaters here. We walked through that lobby about 10 feet and the employee there was far more helpful.

I watched Lego Movie 2 here on a Sunday evening. The front of the movie theater looks pretty cool, especially at night. Because of that, it is pretty easy to locate. Theater: Probably the biggest theater I've seen. The movie was showing in theater 1 and there were probably at most 5 parties watching that night. The seats are ok, not reclining, so not super comfortable but not too upright. Concessions: I wanted to buy popcorn, but after seeing the prices, I decided not to ($7.00 for a small). Parking: $8 for the first 4 hours with validation. Too expensive. Overall, I thought that it was a nice theater. However, the parking alone kills it for me. I will probably never return to this cinema just for that reason. $8 for parking after validation is pretty ridiculous, I would rather drive somewhere an extra 5 miles away to get free parking.

I just took my family to this place for the 1st time and we had a great time. Multiple restaurants, coffee places, bars, theater +++ I highly recommend this place. Just make sure its not on a game night! Its across the street from the Staples Center.

Do NOT park at Lot #4! Even though Regal's own website says to do so, and that they validate, I have been told TWICE now that I never got the ticket validated (I definitely did, especially made sure the 2nd time) and an $8 fee turned into $28! I gave them the benefit of the doubt the first time, but after two I smell a scam. Park literally anywhere else besides Lot 4. The fact that Regal lists them FIRST on their website is the reason for the review also being posted here. You've been warned.

The theater itself is great, but, unfortunately, many members of the audience have become extremely rude recently. In almost all of our recent trips, there have been extensive problems with talking and people being on cell phones during movies. I can't rightly recommend you attend a screening of a film here considering these issues, which is sad since the theater and staff have little control over these kind of problems.

Tonight was the worst experience I ever had at this theater. I still love the movie" US " which I enjoyed. However, the customer service exiting was totally ridiculous! I went to the counter to get my ticket validated, like I normally do when I leave the theater. When this wretch asked me for my ticket stub. Not realizing my son had them in his pocket across the hall. So I'm scrambling through my purse and I can't find it. She says if you have the tickets on your ph show me. Ugh,I explained to her I printed my tickets through my job. So I'm like let me call my son. She's still standing there looking like... I'm not going to validate your ticket. Like where/when did movie theaters ask for your stub after spending all kinds of money entering their place and lets not forget concession stands ? Like seriously? I was one word away of saying let me speak to your manager, when she took my ticket and validated it. How uncomfortable and disrespected I felt. I am going to call them in the morning! Like I'm a regal card member. I go to the movies often and this is totally rude! Just not making any sense to me! I hope that never happens again, let alone to anyone else!

I love regal theatres! Especially when I want to experience a movie in 4D, this is the place!. One thing tho, unfortunately I came to watch Avengers here last night and not only were the tickets for Avengers 4D very expensive($30) the chairs themselves need to be lubed up! Through out the whole movie you can hear the chairs make horrible creaking sounds when they move or the chairs actually twitch and make a sound like it's stuck. That ruined my movie experience!! I couldn't get into the movie because of the sounds from the chairs :( please upkeep your theatres better, especially for that price for 4D. * Side note, thank you for the extra security!!

Kind of disappointed. The first time you get your tickets, they tell you which theatre # you have to go in. They don't tell you that you could buy popcorn/other items upstairs. Seats are comfortable. When you park in front of the cinema itself, no one tells you need to VALID your parking ticket in the cinema. Apparently when you do show them your parking ticket, they stamp it and you get a lower price for the parking.

The staff are nice I’ve never had a problem. The food is great I’ve tried most of it and it’s alright but the new Cheetos popcorn are my favorite snack. I love coming on Tuesday’s for discounted tickets and 50% off popcorn. Overall it’s a great theatre and I love coming with my family to enjoy new movies.

Theatre is nice, clean, quiet but the parking is the worst. That little lot gets full and if you’re lucky enough to get a spot, exiting is at least another 10 minutes. Parking at LA Live is not an option, why pay $28 or $15 if after 9pm ???

Regal is really good. I like the design inside the theater, it's visually really pretty and all the employees are really nice. I've personally never had a problem with this place, other than the insane food prices. Avoid the concession stand as much as possible.

huge many screening rooms excellent seats, sound and atmosphere. They have a bar for those who want to enjoy an alcoholic beverage like beer or wine. Here you will find some interesting pop corn mixed with Cheetos! Yes Cheetos and pop corn how can you go wrong lol

First time at the theater to see the new Rob Zombie Flick and in the middle of the movie a Dish Network "are you still watching" prompt came on followed by the attached image. After waiting the crowd had to alert the staff. There was no one letting us know what comes next including the refund policy. When the movie finally came back on it was the wrong part of the film. For a limited release you think the theater would have a bit more attention to detail. Beside the movie being interrupted, a single small water bottle is $6, popcorn is stale and food is very poor quality in general. This place takes customers and their money for granted and going forward would be my last pick for a movie theater if and when other options are available.

It was a Saturday night at 10pm. It is understandable it is busy and there are big crowds. To begin to order some snacks there was long lanes just to order your food .it was taken about 20 min just to order but if you order something that was hot food like corn dogs or hamburger there was another 15 to 20 minutes wait. For these items you had to go to the pick up section. Just to mention all registers were open. But no one assigned for that specific section was handling pickup orders until the person who took your order got the chance or remember came to give your order. There was no organization. There was no jalapenos on the self serve section for nachos which I thought it was to avoid waste or save since there was a busy day.. then I saw 2 crew member coming out from the back preping area or kitchen serving jalapenos for customers that had order nachos. so I got the corn dogs and the workers still serving jalapenos in a small cup passing right behind the cashier handling my order. So I asked her if I could get some jalapenos which she thought about it to answered that there was no jalapenos I was about to let her know that I just saw her coworkers serving jalapenos she just ignored me and turned around . She just didn't wanted go back for them.. overall there was bad service, bad maintenance there werepop corns everywhere, messy restrooms and no enough toilet paper. It's a shame for regal cinemas specially in L.A Live not to be on top of that

This location is a premium movie theater with great quality screens and sound. There is a great selection of snacks and drinks. There are beautiful views of downtown Los Angeles. This is the best Regal location. It is well managed. The bathrooms are clean. The staff is polite and professional.

Such a gorgeous theater! There wasn't a 4D film playing during my visit, but it certainly looks entertaining, given the right film. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I would certainly frequent here if I lived in the area.

The 4DX experience is AMAZING !! From the weather effects, to "smellovision", to rumbling of explosions ETC...It totally immerses You. This has to be the most fun I have EVER had at a movie theater ! #encore

I love the 4DX feature and how comfortable the seats can be as well as them moving to the movement of the movie. Great place to watch action movies.
