A good theater but they messed up on putting spider-man far from home on the name board. They put spider-man 3. Spider-man 3 hasnt been out in 11 years. They could've put spider-man 2 because this is the second spider-man movie in the latest reboot. They didnt so that shows that they dont care about the viewers only 4 stars.

Great movie theater. Our theater was all the way in the back and a little confusing to find but once you found it, the actual surround sound and lighting were great! The staff were super friendly and helpful, even cracking jokes with us as we chose our movie.

I love going to this theater because the cost is super low but the quality isn't sacrificed. All summer they have $1 tickets for matinees. The best part (imo) is the bar! This is my go to theater.

Nice venue, comfortable seats, a wide variety of movies and has 3D as well as Titan screens. It has pretty good food and also a good selection of beer for those inclined especially if you're on a date night or watching a movie with a little child and want too make it easier to watch! :)

Great cinema! Nice theatres, good screens and sound quality, and the staff are very friendly. The only negative is that a handful of the seats are a little broken. All in all, though, a good place to see a movie.

The theatre has added alcohol and more high-end concessions in an effort to compete with luxury cinemas. The changes to concessions and the assigned seating are fantastic. However, the changes did not include upgrades to the seats, bathrooms, or anything cosmetic. Once you're past the menu board, it is a traditional multiplex with dingy bathrooms, uncomfortable seats, and a dates look and feel. But the price is right where it should be for this kind of experience. Definitely an improvement on the old school multiplex experience, but not by much.

By far the best best deal for movies in San Diego. $8.50 for a ticket and $6 for an extra large refillable bucket of popcorn. The extra drinks and food are yummy too! On Sundays, you can get unlimited popcorn and two drinks for $10. The theater itself could use updating (hasn't changed much in 15 years), but overall a great value for a decent theater.

I like this theater because they have first-run movies for $8.50. You can also get popcorn for $6. The seats are comfortable the staff is always friendly and helpful and it's a great reasonable place to go see a movie.

Can't go wrong, has all you'd expect from a classic movie theater. You can stroll around Grossmont plaza before or after your film, enjoy a game of 'lawn' chess or a frozen yogurt. Popcorn tip: get the daily deal of largest tub of bottomless popcorn for $6.00. The small bag of popcorn is $6.50 to put it in perspective.

I went with 5 other people to see IT chapter two and had a great experience. It's located in an outside mall with other stores around it and a food court. The landscaping at the mall is beautiful and a great place to take pictures. Movie ticket prices are the most affordable out of all the movie theaters I have been to. The theater was a decent size and the chairs are comfy. I Definitely recommend going here to see a movie!

It's a winner!! We love this theater. They have lower prices than other local theaters, they have snack bar specials the almost make buying snakes or even a meal a decent price, they serve beer if you're into that. And for the lower prices the theater was clean, well maintained, adequately staffed and busy. The theaters themselves are clean. Even the floors in the seating rows was clean. Your feet don't stick to the floor like Velcro!

Straight to the point: Amazing price. Hot, fresh snacks. Extremely friendly staff except one single guy at the ticket booth who's a bit of a jerk, but everything else is so good he doesn't detract from the good points. My favorite theater. I wish they had a rewards program like Regal and AMC.

Reserved seating, full bar, tickets are always cheaper than other theaters (my tickets for a new movie on a Tuesday night were $8 each, a steal compared to the $12 I'm accustomed to paying. Staff is always friendly and helpful and their food options are more exciting than most (I love the fried green beans). Highly recommend 10/10

Probably the best bang for your buck, not sure how they do it but keep it up. Staff here is super friendly, from start to finish family had a great experience. Purchased the pop-corn, drinks and nachos. Nachos actually surpassed my expectations. Cheese and chips made to order. Pop-corn and butter tasted great. Washed it down with water though, Soda stations at the ready. There was a lot of people because of the holiday but the crew was adequately staff today no problems. Even though it was holiday everyone was smiling and greeting everyone. Only wish the seats could be more comfortable for the 2 hour movie. Will definitely return, making this my theater of choice from now on.

They took our money away and never let us in for not having our I.D. This was my friend's worst first experience at a cinema. And they let us watch John wick 3 with out our I.D. That's where I brought my friend for the first time.

Saw Spiderman Far from Home tonight. Awesome movie enjoyed with awesome Titan XC sound! The Dolby ATMOS really immerses you in the movie; I much rather have immersive sound then gimmicky 3D. Saw it in theater #1, usually where they have the premium blockbuster showings; biggest theatre in the cinemaplex; seats are comfortable and it's the closest theatre to the restroom. That last bit of information about the restroom made for a quick trip when nature called for my son during the movie; don't think we missed more than a few minutes.

A great deal for a family definitely cheaper than other movie theaters and you can pick your seat. I recommend buying your ticket online and you get to choose your seat there and when you go in you just have to show the barcode to the person accepting the tickets you do not have to wait in line to receive the ticket. They have a good selection of food including some healthy options and they also offer a beer wine and cocktail selection. Their tickets are the cheapest I found for the local movie theaters

This theatre is underrated. It has nice stadium style seating, good projectors and sound, and great concessions including local craft beer. It has assigned seating, and it is rarely as crowded as the Edwards and Regal Theatres.

Great deal on movie tickets! The seats are comfortable and you're able to reserve the seats you want ahead of time! So you don't have to worry about getting a bad seat if you're late. They offer a large variety of snacks (other theaters don't have), which are priced fairly and delicious. My favorite part is they sell alcohol!! Beer, wine and cocktails!

The theater we were in was huge! Tonight was our first night there and it's really a good deal at $8.50 for an evening ticket. I was just confused as to why it took almost 15 minutes for me to get my nachos lol. The snack bar will give you the popcorn and drinks right away, but the nachos have to be specially made in the back. That was my only drawback. Other than that, I really liked it and will definitely be back!

Great place ticket are cheap, about $8.50 each and they dont mind you bringing in outside food. Me and my friend would go in with panda or cold stone or in and out and it was nice to chill inside and eat while watching the movie.

Great price/value. Cheaper than most theaters AND they serve beer! Expect to pay stadium prices though. $6 endless popcorn! Recommend getting there a bit early since the concessions stand lines can be pretty long and slow. Getting into the theaters can also take some time if it is a big night, but luckily assigned seating is an option. Doesn't participate in Movie Pass as far as I know.

I'm kinda digging the assigned seats. The theater was clean, quality of the movie was great, and staff were friendly. The bathroom was clean as well. The snack bar needed some stocking up to be done, but when staff was informed of the missing items, they immediately restocked supplies.

This theatre is fantastic. I have been living in San Diego for over 11 years and this is the best theatre to go to. Tickets are very inexpensive getting as low as 8.50$ a ticket. But the one problem is, the seats can be uncomfortable to bigger people such as me. (6’4) (280lbs). Other wise. Great great theatre

Finding a theater that has comfortable seating, a good selection of films, and cost less than $9 for a normal ticket is, in my experience, unusual for San Diego so I highly recommend Reading Cinema in the Grossmont Mall center. I went to see Black Panther the Friday it was released and the cinema had enough showings that I could find one that was only half full instead of packed. Yet it also has smaller films available on a regular basis. I would give it 4.5 Stars if I could and the only reason I'm not giving it 5 Stars wholly is because they will run films for only 1 or 2 weeks if they feel they aren't being successful enough. That makes it difficult to plan on a trip with multiple people to a smaller film or even a larger film like Annihilation that isn't getting a lot of ticket sales at this location.

Always love coming here. The only thing I don't like is the seating. We pick our seats when we get our tickets, but when we get in there people are in our seats and it's confrontational at times. I can be a vicious, elegant, ladylike lioness about it but my son wouldn't have it.....so we just found available seats
