Here you will be able to see all the feddbacks of real people who know the services and products of Laemmle\'s Playhouse 7 (Movie Theater) near to the state of California.
At this moment the firm receives a rating of 4.6 stars over 5 and that score was based on 673 reviews.
You must have seen that it reaches an reviews average is almost the best one, and it's based on a very large number of reviews, so we can conclude that the valuation is very faithful. If people have bothered to leave their opinion when they are happy, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually stop to put reviews when these are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Movie Theater belongs to the category of Movie theater.
Still a great place to watch arthouse, Indy and first-run movies that have left the first run theaters
The best theater in town for those low-key yet amazing indie films that always seem to fly under everyone's radar. And them prices ain't bad either!
Free parking nearby, great selection of films not widely distributed. Seating is crowded however with small, narrow seats. If you are looking for today's huge reclining "barcoloungers" in large stadium theaters, go somewhere else.
Comfortable small theater complex showing offb and and art films.
Senior matinee cheap every day. Free popcorn on Thursdays. Discount on concessions if you use your Laemmle card.
Great selection of rare foreign films. Paid parking lot just behind the building $1/hr.
Wow, this theatre was amazing. It's cozy, and the popcorn is cheap! Large for $5.40 At AMC it's $10 for a large on top of an expensive movie ticket. Came to watch Jane with my girlfriend and we loved it here! Will be back soon :)
great movies
This is my all-time favorite theatre! Only no nonsense movies are found here. If you're looking for independent and foreign movies about real life... this is the theatre to come to! oh & not to mention delicious popcorn & coffee too!!
This is a cute, friendly theater where interesting films are shown. The service is always great. I always enjoy the feel of the smaller theaters.
Saw a great movie there. Nice theater
This the only place in town that has good movies. I mean if you don't want all that main stream crap. It's the last movie theater in Pasadena that hasn't sold it's soul for the big movies. I hope this place never goes away. The movies are one of a kind thoughtful and provoking small interesting films. Definitely not for your TV couch surfer looking for the bid stars but someone who thinks for themselves and wants a quality movie.
nice little local movie theater
One of the chiller movie theaters around. The crowd that goes here seems to be more relaxed than average movie goers at bigger theaters. Never been in a showing where someone was talking. They focus on more independent movies so if the movie you're looking for isn't at a bigger theater it might be here. There is a parking lot located directly behind the theater so parking is easy. Concession stand prices are also a little lower than most movie theaters. MoviePass is accepted here.
A great group performed this evening!
Friendly, efficient staff, and great popcorn.
Great Indie film theater. Fantastic selection of movies. Catch it while you can!
Nice, small, quiet , older theatre
Wonderful movies.wish the seats were more comfy
Great place for great movies. East free parking.
Great little theater. Older style but clean with lots of charm.
Beautiful theater. Beautiful area. Great for date night!
Love this theater. They don't show the big block busters. They show the well made, great plot, good character development movies
Nice old theater in Pasadena and lots of nice stores and restaurants in close by
Fantastic movies that you won’t see anywhere else. Love the documentaries
My favorite movie theater. Saw Paris can Wait. Lovely, romantic, just what I needed on this hot day. Came out smiling and there was Jazz being played in the courtyard. That's good living to me
Best local movie theater in Southern California and has been for years
Best little movie theater in Pasadena! Great classics, foreign and indie films!!
Great old theater in a nice location. Would give it 5 stars but the sound quality isn't up to par.
Laemmle theaters are a great place to see independent films, foreign films and even the blockbusters. Love the throwback Thursday viewings too!
The seats are very old, and not comfortable..Bottom line the theater needs cleaning and upgradede! I'm very disappointed.
nice theater, small and cheap. they always play the movies that many theaters don’t play.
Great movies. The seats are a little uncomfortable and the rows are close together so if you are tall you may be a lottle cramped. 5 stars because of the great movies not shown elsewhere.
Great
I love this theater. It's an arthouse film theater.
A lovely venue, combining all the glamour of movie houses of the past, with all the modern amenities of today. The snack bar has a wide variety of favorite snacks, and, above all, the popcorn is DELISH!
Small ,intimate low key theater. The best Indies and "grown ups" movies. No super hero's here
Love this old school theater. They always have great movies.
Excellent movies all the time, good prices and great location
Saggy seats. Efficient box office staff.
Needs updating of facilities although the independent cinema it features is great.
Excellent film choices, excellent sound system (and not too loud) and a friendly vibe.
Their name has come to be known as quality Indie films. They select outstanding movies to screen, always have. This is a nice theatre. The seats could be more comfortable, well, maybe one day. If you enjoy movies on the large screen and thought provoking cinema, come here.
The Pasadena Conservatory of Music held a free concert of guitars betweem Laemmle's Playhouse and Vroman's Bookstore. The students showed amazing guitar skills and the free concert could not have taken place on a better sunny and war day in Pasadena, CA.
This place is good and intimate parking could be a challenge since they are doing a lot of construction around .
Offers interesting selection of Indie and foreign language films
Love that they have films that you would not get to see at Edward's or Regal movie theaters.
If you’re ever looking for a place to catch A flick that likely won’t be shown elsewhere look no further than then the iconic LP7.
Old school theater. Best to be early if you want decent seats.
Nice theater in Pasadena. Very good independent films as opposed to higher priced mainstream theaters that run more corporate style Hollywood movies. Better clientele too. No riff Raff.
I was able to screen Halloween 2018 for a special event. This theater was awesome!!
One of those happy places for me
Great eclectic movies
The coffee was Excellent. The Atmosphere is just Delightfully Pleasent.
Movie Cinema at its classic. Laemmle's last of its kind. Independent movies, ambiance as simple as it gets. Great place for date....seats are another thing, but who's complaining. Support. Next Door you have Vroman's Book store....get a good read after or before movie. Popcorn, Drink, Pretzel, and Red Vines as you hold hands with your date.
Pleasant workers, with a clean and well maintained facility. I'm glad they don't butter the salted pretzels, because a lot of places do, and it's not as tasty as a result. Not too loud, in terms of movie volume, it's just right.
Comfortable, Affordable, Uniquely Cozy Theater
Saw The Notorious RBG. Great art house.
Great movie theater, can still see independent movies as well as popular ones without having to drive to a mall. However they ran out of ice cream.
Super cool little movie theater to come hang with friends. Good food and deals.
Great theater! Quality movies
The theater and the movie, Black Klansman, we're wonderful.
Great movie watched here. Sorta changed my perception on life liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Was also a Japanese cartoon. Whoops
I love it! It had been my favorite movie teather since it opens. I formed small group of friends that come once a week on Wed. We loved your choices of mainly fotreign movies at discounted prices. Thank you!
It's a nice theater, but it hasn't been updated. Perk* because it isn't updated, there are fewer people, ie. it isn't crowded. It also has lots of art by local artist on the walls. You walk through a gallery of beautiful art on the way to watch your movie.
Best popcorn in the town, the screen is a bit small but it’s ok. Nice place for couples
Good theater always with interesting shows. The screens are small and the seats are old, but if you don't want to just watch super hero blockbusters, this is a great gem in Pasadena.
Pros: Quality independent feature films, Relaxing atmosphere, Clean, Well maintained, Friendly and attentive staff. Cons: No free parking, Uncomfortable seats. Bottom line: Great theater.
Nice place. Kinda nostalgic.
Great place for date night. It's refreshing to have small indie theatres like this that help support them.
Clean, except parking is a little tricky
Torn. Great selection of films that you wouldn't see anywhere else, but stinky, low-run theater environment. How does a place like this stay in business? Go there to support.
I heard this theatre is being sold. I'm so sad about it. This place shows a great selection of independent films. They also have some special viewing events with Q&A.
I came here to see the premier of Judy, and was extremely impressed with my visit. Their tickets are incredibly affordable for an independent theater and their concessions are very fairly priced. They have cool selections like cold brew coffee and cookies in addition to your traditional popcorn, candy and drinks. I loved coming here and can’t wait to come back again.
Everything is dated. EVERYTHING. The chairs are those stadium seats with visible dust. They squeak. There is bare concrete for floors. Bathroom decor is dated. The only redeeming quality is the screen and audio is adequate.
like the rest of the Laemmle theaters in LA, great film selections. Only downside is that the seats are not that comfortable--especially during longer movies.
This is our local, walking distance, movie theater. They have a very interesting collection of films you're not likely to see in the chain theaters. There is a discounted price for seniors during the daytime. One negative though, is they really need to update the seats. Recommended
I am extremely grateful this theatre exists. I enjoy the high quality independent and foreign films only offered at theatres like this one. We in Pasadena are lucky to have a Laemmle theater.
Saw the movie Roma" .... loved it nice cozy theater.
My favorite movie house, I mean home.
Awesome Movies, Friendly Staff & Clean.
I enjoy supporting this theater, and it's in a pretty central location. They show a lot of movies other theaters don't, which I like. If you every want to see that random documentary, they're sure to be playing it. No stadium seating at least in the theaters I've been in. Parking can be tough, but street parking always seems to work out.
Love the Laemmle Theaters. They are a refuge from the CGI blockbuster mainstream movies. You can travel the world without leaving So Cal when watching the phenomenal variety of foreign films. Thank you Laemmle.
Good independent movies
Everthing was great. Staff were courteous. The environment of theatre was clean and comfortable.
Always great to come back to this great theater and enjoy some fresh and beautiful films. Totally recommend and worth it.
While they do show more mainstream movies occasionally, the heart and soul of the Laemmle chain are independent films. Often times this or another Laemmle location are the only places you can find something showing. This is a great location. In a fun neighborhood to spend time in before your movie or to hang out in to talk about what you have just seen. Compared to other movie chains the prices for tickets and food are reasonable.
We enjoy watching movies here. Great foreign and indie movies that few theaters are viewing. Parking is challenge - no free parking.
Leg room is awful. Other than that it was ok. Plus they were all out of most ice cream products.
Great movies not found elsewhere.
REAL MOVIES, you most likely will never see fast and furious XVI here, but you will most likely see something that will make you laugh, cry, and maybe even think a little. Usually never a long wait, everything is always clean and the staff very friendly. Seats are not quite as comfy as big name large theatres...but still not bad, still food enough for a 5 star...I'll be back, you should check it out
The Laemmle Pasadena plays some films you cannot find at large venues. They have the BEST popcorn around, even providing free flavor powders to shake over it and they provide free ice water as well. The theater capacities are small, but it makes the experience more intimate.
Movie theatre located in heart of Pasadena. Many "artsy" or independent limited release films shown here. There is a rotating exhibit of local artists in the hallways leading to the individual theaters. Clean. Good service. Comfortable seats. Easy to find parking. And when you've finished watching your movie, plenty of food and shopping surrounding it.
Very nice, comfortable theater with an excellent selection of movies.
My daughter who loves art! And we contribute to her passion wanted to watch Loving Vincent, the movie excellent! The venue nice except for the seats they are horrible. Very uncomfortable, other than that seeing my daughter enjoying the movie was awesome!.
Still an excellent place to catch the latest art house type films. Comfy stadium style seating and good sound system. More intimate that those large multiplex spots.
It was a wonderful movie 55 steps need to see true story
Laemmle 7 in Pasadena is very clean, comfortable and always makes sure to have enough staff so there is never too long a wait for tickets. Have been to several special events and always have a great time!
Great film selection. Amazing value with MoviePass. Clean theater. Cool employees.
Comfortable and place to watch a movie. Great popcorn
Always great here...
Low cost, but doesn't have all the latest movies and sometimes is full and have to sit up front...
Wonderful films. The theater needs remodeling in very obvious ways.
Such a great indie theatre. Small art exhibit inside great for killing time before your movie starts
Great theater! The staff is friendly and attentive. Their is always something interesting to watch. The popcorn is delicious and they always keep the seasoning stand stocked. I love the old school feel to the theater.
I can always find a movie with a global influence here. They also have culturally relevant topics in a Documentary format. Occasionally they feature films that are taped live concerts ~ i.e. operas or theatrical stage performances. I have viewed several Sundance film productions here and look forward to a broad selection of movie choices almost every week! Thankful for this movie theater's existence.
Laemmle's is the place to go for independent and foreign films in the San Gabriel Valley. Parking in Pasadena can be difficult, but there is a lot just one block north for just $1 per hour. Another plus? They are next door to Vroman's Bookstore, so you get a "two-fer," great films and great books!
Enjoying independent movie
A beautiful little theatre constantly playing all the best foreign, indie, and art films out today. The theatres are all small and intimate which adds to the charm. Do note that the seats in the theatres are far from the luxurious lounge chairs that are in most of the movie theatres in the area now; just old, sttandard, fold-up bottom, slightly rickety theatre seats here. That being said, I wouldn't have it any other way. A great, fully engrossing movie experience in a beautiful old theatre.
This was originally a 5-star but after an employee named JORDAN made me feel super uncomfortable and kept making me feel bad for something in which NO RULE WAS BROKEN (and he kept trying to make me feel awful!) I WON'T BE COMING BACK HERE ANYMORE. A manager named James had to intervene and apologized for the awful interaction that left me in tears. Other patrons even checked in on me after witnessing tje ordeal.
Nice smaller theater well maintained and nice staff
Maria Callas. Great movie teather.
This theater has stairs that go down as if you're going into a bunker where the movie theaters are. If you don't get claustrophobic then you'll love lammle's because of their selection of independent cinema. For Quality films that won't be available anywhere else in San Gabriel Valley you can't find a better place than Lee nor the surrounding area which is called the playhouse District and is filled with great restaurants, history, culture, and everything sophisticated City should have.
Good place to see a movie. Very 1960s style. Plain, but nostalgic and very adequate
Ticket prices are always low. Wednesday they have a senior discount night. They run mainstream movies but they also run really good foreign films.
Always enjoy Laemmle's, great prices especially for seniors.
Our go to place for Art house movies. Clean and simple. An adult crowd who come to see the film not goof around.
Showing the best short run independent films, plus some bigger films too, in cozy Pasadena. They often show wonderful art & foreign films that only run for one weekend. I love going for the Sat or Sun 11am screenings.
Great selection of indie films, good location with plenty of parking.
Very avant gard movie selections often with a short run. Excellent staff. Good prices. Clean place. But smallish screens.
An opportunity to see classic films that are not at other theaters. And the popcorn is good.
Excellent theater. Not mainstream. For foreign, independent, art and anime films. In Old Pasadena. Great little theater in a great area. Ticket prices are beyond reasonable, went to see Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri, only cost $11 per ticket. They are also one of the few theaters hosting Studio Ghibli Fest. Try the place! Mind u, if you're one of those theater snobs that expect these super new over plush seats and all that unnecessary nonsense- move along son. Go to a hipster place where u belong.
Though i was ecstatic that Laemmle had opened a unit in Glendale it has not proven to be what i had hoped. Early weekend showings have been cancelled and whoever is programming the films in Glendale seems to be intent on driving Glendalians away rather than to its new theater. So i have cleaved onto the Pasadena unit as i have done for the last number of years. Today i saw a South American film in very familiar surroundings and i felt at home and at ease. Laemmle Pasadena is and has always been all about showing the best available of whatever Independent films are out there. The employees are personable and helpful and the Popcorn is the best in town. Prices are ridiculously low on the weekends early shows (8 bucks!) as well as the stuff in the concession stand. Sound and film projection is always top notch. Parking on Sundays in Pasadena is free on the street and there is a lot a block away for a buck an hour. Maybe Glendale will get it together but i have a sneaky feeling that the normal Laemmle spirit has deflated and moves elsewhere. Sad.
We love going to the theater, ir has a variety of movies, close to shopping and they treat the 50+ great.
Best theater around. They always have a unique blend of independent films along with the main stream. A true Pasadena landmark.
The last time I was there to see a film, the seating wasn't very good, and I think the air conditioner was broken. So why would I give it five stars? Because this is the kind of movie theater that makes it easy to ignore those things. This theater is definitely a throwback to the past. It's in a great location, they have lots of great films, and the prices are reasonable.
Great little movie theater in Pasadena. It's even better that they accept Moviepass. It's a great place to catch an independent movie.
Great place, nice, clean and comfortable!
Great movie selection
Great movies, friendly staff, comfy environment
Awesome movie theatre
really modern and clean. snacks aren't too expensive either.
I love laemmle's
There's no parking other than street parking or lot parking down the street. Theater is clean. Staff is pleasant. Atmosphere is movie theater-ish. No complaints. I went to see a matinee, so my daytime experience was good.
Small intimate theater, very reasonably priced for the area.
Everyone was nice. I found the seats to be very uncomfortable seem to want to close all the time.
A great place to see a movie. Small theaters with comfortable seats. Shows the highest quality films and foreign & classic ones. A company that is morally conscious and displays it in their theaters.
Great theater for foreign and independent films. Never very crowded, weekday discounts.
I️ had paid for tickets online and the people at the ticket booth were really nice when I️ asked for printed tickets. The theater is so tiny but it’s super cool. Wouldn’t mind returning.
One of the best selections for art & independent films.
I love the independent film culture. This is the place to see those efforts in the best theater environment for them. Decent prices and good space, nice people working in BO and counters.
Cheap movie tickets with no frills theater.
I love the Laemmle. The selection of movies, the building, the art exhibits on the walls and location all make this a sought-after movie house. Thank you for enhancing the movie going experience for all of us who love quality entertainment.
Small theater playing mostly limited release or foreign films, great place to see animated films. Concessions all tasted fresh, staff was very friendly.
What a great little theater for indie films and art shows. The Laemmle's really have an affinity for type of film that isn't destined for billions of revenue, but do deserve an audience who are cinephiles Just went there to attend their Laemmle Live event that hosts live music. Again I can't say enough how the Laemmle's help out the arts, whether it's film or now music. Thank you
I like going to this theater they always have some interesting movies.
I really like this theater but parking can be tricky. I saw the worst animated film ever done in China listed as a comedy not even close! The staff are always polite and helpful.
Friendly and efficient staff. Old time movie going feel. Clean theatre!
