At present this firm receives a rating of 4.6 stars out of 5 and this rating has been calculated on 836 reviews.
You must have seen that it has an average rating is virtually the best one, and it is based on a very high number of feddbacks, so we may conclude that the score is very faithful. If there are many people who bothered to value when they've done well, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to write feddbacks when they are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Movie Theater is classified in the category of Movie theater.
My favorite neighborhood movie theatre. Such a nice staff, good selection and reasonable prices. Thanks to the whole crew for many wonderful movie going experiences!
Theater is legit. Always serving up fresh independent and foreign films. The refreshments now include hot coffee, beer on tap, chilled white wines and select reds. Ice cream sammiches are those really good ones. Big & Fat.. substantial. …
Perfect for Date night. Cheap tickets. They sell beer. It was not crowded.
Great movies. Great space. Great employees. Great perks with the Laemmle card. This is my go - to movie theater.
A good mix of popular movies + indie films + short film series from the Oscars. And $6 seats for seniors during the week. And 9 Thursday night show throwback movies.
No lines and it is always cheap
Nice people fair prices and with a lemme card you get discounts on tickets and food. Only negative is higher ticket prices on Friday and Saturday. I try to come here often
So much cheaper than the other theaters, nice little hipster vibe. I suppose if you want the 3d or IMAX kinda experience you'll want elsewhere but this was a nice theater nonetheless.
I love coming to this theater. It's nearby. They have good prices and deals for frequent movie goers. Love this also cause it's family owned.
Great local business and a great way to support independent film. The theaters are clean and tickets are affordable.
A small chain of theaters that provides the audience with acces to lesser known movies at a reasonable price. Like them a lot.
Best art theater in NoHo.
Nice place, cheaper than other movie house but the parking is far.
Great art house movie theatre in the north Hollywood arts district. The staff is friendly and parking is only $2 at the structure right behind it with their validation. Their movie selections are always very unique relative to the bigger chains like AMC. Anecdote: my parking pass was having an issue being read by their machine, it was 11:30pm, which meant I was feeling slightly impatient because I wanted to go home and sleep. Luckily I ran into their security personnel, and they were nice enough to use their pass so that I could leave the structure. I didn't have to pay the two dollars. Now that's luck but also good service.
Saw Mary Poppins 2 there,it was ok
I like this place. The matinee pricing is reasonable enough and the Premiere Card has some good discounts on tickets and food for frequent movie-goers. They serve beer and wine also. Good crowd. Small but clean theater. Enjoyable experience. No Texting, Talking or Schmoozing during the film though, save that for the after parties lol
I walk by this theatre all the time - the smell of popcorn filling my brain. I finally got to see a movie there! It was an enjoyable experience. The popcorn was good. The theatre was as clean as you would expect as theatre to be. The folks working there were very nice. Overall, a good place to see a movie.
It’s great affordable and really just a comfortable place to be in. This is a place where people will genuinely give a smile when helping you out and overall a great atmosphere
Great movies and great overall environment.
We love this theater. Discounts for students, children and seniors
You can count on Laemmle theaters to showcase the best in film. Spike Lee's BlacKKKlansman is profoundly relevant and an absolute must see film.
Everyone has a welcoming smile Great popcorn
Great theater. Nice staff. Movies run without a hitch and seats are comfortable. Popcorn is always fresh. Thursday's are special events like old movies and stuff. Check out their website for details
Loved the "Indie Theater" feel and the concessions were actually decently priced. They also offered free flavored salt for popcorn which is clutch. What was lacking was friendly faces... The lady I bought my ticket from seemed annoyed and like she didn't want to be there. Asked how to validate parking and got the head nod toward the machine. A simple, "right over there" would've sufficed, I'm a simple man. Then the man that separated my ticket had an attitude for no reason, like us patrons were an inconvenience. It's called your job, buddy. The only reason I'm leaving 4 stars is because the two younger folks I dealt with at the concessions couldn't have been nicer. Took me three levels to find their polite employees, but they honestly saved this review. Parking is great if you can find the garage, they validate so it's only a few bucks, and the seats are old school so don't expect comfort. All things considered, please support your local theaters. It was a mixed experience, but Darkest Hour made up for it.
Cool place to catch anime film releases..
I live right up the street from the Laemmle and it’s my spot. I go almost every weekend. They have a mix of big movies and indie films and it’s a super clean theatre.
So I am writing a review about an experience I had over the course of two days in November of 2018. The Laemmle hosted the Studio City Film "International" Festival. A small time, low end festival that was designed by it's leader to be an ego petting exercise for him. I do not think this man has any connection to the Laemmle but I wanted to bring a couple of things to the attention of the establishment and any theater goers that might be considering paying to view any films at the Studio City Festival. The man running the festival was a joke and made the experience offensive and borderline criminal. He was openly prededitory toward women, as he was introducing one of the main supporters for the festival in his opening remarks at the closing ceremony. He directly stated to the entire room that she enjoys wearing tight dresses and continued to make comments about her sexualized appearance all night. Through out the night he dropped in brazen comments about all manner of people, films, races, and sexual orientations. Some of his final remarks of the evening were that he took a "Black film maker, but the film wasn't very good" but wanted a Black film to be diverse. It was not only embarrassing but insulting to everyone present. I left after those comments and did not collect the award for our film. I debated weather or not so write anything about this until I saw that the entire event was posted online and you can view his comments for yourself, until they get taken down. YouTube has the entire closing ceremony. I hope you decide not to work with this person again and the Laemmle will be a force for good in this ever changing film climate. Please stand of for basic human decency.
Laemmle's is a unique movie theatre, being that it is family owned. They choose quality films to watch, which is rare these days. Their choices vary from independent movies to foreign films. A distinct theatre chain which appeals to the few who appreciate quality films. I am a big movie watcher, plus picky, so this is where I go to see movies. They are not overpriced and you can buy a bundle of movies for a better price if you join the Premier package club.
Good Chinese food
Very cold
This is a nice, independent theater. The staff is very nice. Compared to larger chain theaters though the seats are not as comfortable and the screens are smaller.
The theater seats are a little older but it's comfortable and you can't beat the concession prices!
Great theater. Well thought-out. Good seats everywhere. Great service. Good sound system.
I used to live in North Hollywood and was around when this theater was built. It's always clean and the staff is usually very knowlegable of film, which makes this a great experience for any cinephile. Whenever I'm in the area, I still check here for any cool indie films playing. Good seats. Clean. Fantastic staff, and affordable popcorn that us generally always fresh with free seasonings. They don't offer super large screens but for indie films that's part of the experience.
Surprisingly good coffee...it goes well with your indie movie
Fantastic film selection. Good competent staff. Never had long lines or delayed showtimes. Great theater.
A true gem. Favorite movie theater in all of Los Angeles. So happy to have it locally available.
Love this theater. Independent, foreign and documentary films. Just saw the Rush doc, amazing.
It feels very intimate, very personal. I love Laemmle theaters’ attitude towards movie culture: there are always different movie related events, they show different classical movies and different indie films alongside with major releases. + more than just regular movie selections
Laemmle is an excellent chain with affordable prices on concessions and tickets. With their premiere card the discounts are even greater. This location shows a good mixture of big budget and independent films. Also numerous film festivals and special screenings are held throughout the year. Always incredibly clean and comfortable.
I was here for the Sargasso movie premiere. It was clean, very comfortable, sound system was excellent.
Friendly respectful staff, clean, show and snacks are offered in a very affordable prices.
Excellent neighborhood theater. Staff is friendly and the price is better than AMC. Love that they have plastic cups at the water fountain. The mix of movies is also great as the blockbusters will play amongst the art house fare. I'm not huge on 3D and IMAX upcharge gimmicks at the chains so the fact that this theater doesn't have those features is a big plus. They have two decent sized, stadium seating houses for the blockbusters and five smaller screens for the rest. Commercials are limited as well.
Comfy seats, good sound, a lot of AC bring a sweater
Friendly staff , great picture and sound , seating is older but in great condition just not roomy, very clean and lastly there is a rear parking which is reduced to $2 with validation and no lines :) oh yeah, no assigned seating
Deceitful comfortable the movie was dark and I had a Coke and some candy
Nice food with great wait staff and hostesses. Drinks were great
Very nice local movie house. Stadium seating. Wonderful place to see indie films.
Love the Thursday night classic movies
Laemmles usually play independent films, but the noho 7 has more mainstream movies, which appeal to us. This theater is pretty new, clean and seats are great - stadium style so you're never obstructed by a tall person in front. Parking is a few dollars at the structure around the corner with validation. Street parking can be tough.
seats are kinda uncomfortable, staff was horsing around when getting popcorn for a guest. it is kind of a small theater, also you will have to pay for parking: $2 for 3hrs, parking is shared with other business including a kaiser permanente.
Best place in Noho to see independent films. Free refils on large sodas and popcorn and Seniors get in for 6.00 before 4 on weekdays. My husband and I share our popcorn and soda pay for two different movies and spend a whole day there. Also bathrooms are always clean and staff very friendly. You only have to pay two dollars for parking if your only there for 3 hours with validation in the garage behind the theater, but if you do what we do, I suggest finding street parking.
If you are lucky enough to see a movie in theatre 1 or 2, it is worth it. All of the other 5 rooms are tiny. The concessions are a little lower priced than most other chains. There is street parking or, there is a $2 parking lot nearby.
If you are looking for basic movie (no 3D or IMAX) and popcorn this place has it down. Parking validated for 4hrs is $2, just make sure you see their sign by the parking entrance for correct structure. I like Anime so the occasional pop-up limited screening for some of the ongoing movies in Japan keeps me checking their upcoming screenings.
A great Indy theater - get there pass for additional savings and perks.
Nice theater in a much needed area of North Hollywood
This place is the best with several convenient locations although I mostly at the NoHo theater. They have all sorts of great movies some only play for a few days a few oldies thrown in and a good deal of foreign films. The prices are very good even better if you are a senior citizen 62 and they charge you only 6 bucks for a matinee during the week what a steal. The Noho location has tough parking I think there is a garage available for a price near the theater but I always Park 2 or 3 blocks away in a residential area in always find a spot and just walk in good exercise in the perfect weather California
Nice little theater complex, staff is very nice, matinee pricing is great-worh the price of admission!
Great movie theatre. Its decorated in classic movie posters, which I loved. The prices are pretty decent compared with other franchise chains. The Laemmle hosts several film festivals and I am lucky enough to have my short films screen at a few of them including Pasadena and North Hollywood. Great service as well. Look forward to going back :)
Great prices and not very crowded.
Great seating and viewing. Full flavored popcorn and sodas. Note: Parking structure is just East of the theater on Weddington Street HOWEVER the structure carries the Kaiser Permanente name and the Lankershim street number, confusing to say the least. Great deal with validation.
Just watched Entourage the movie. 4:30 matinee show. 8 bucks. Theater had fewer than 30 people in it, maybe fewer than 20. anyhow, I got a perfect seat right in the middle. Clean theater. Clean restroom. No complaints!
It's walking distance from my house.
My first choice theater. Their 7 screens show mainstream big-budget movies plus smaller, lower budget but big quality films. Sometimes a foreign film, sometimes a documentary. A buck or two lower ticket prices and concessions are a bit less expensive. Not fancy, but classy in it's own way.
Nice theater, good sound and very clean. Preferable to AMC. The place is very community friendly.
My Go-to theatre. Great staff. Great movies.
Great place to see a movie! They show independent/foreign film as well as current, mainstream hits. Staff is friendly and courteous. The ticket taker kindly informed us that my husband and I were about an hour early, so we we went walking around the neighborhood. Parking in the lot behind the theater was only $5 with validation, which is not bad considering we were there a long time. Oh and the buttery popcorn & drinks costed a little bit less than at other theaters. Seats did not recline but were comfy enough to sit through a 2.5 hour film, although I was shifting in my seat a lot. Restrooms are clean.Overall great place.
There is a guy name "Roman," he assisted me at the recession stand. After I gave him my money to pay, he dropped the changed back in my hand & immediately yelled, "next customer in line!..." I wasn't finished putting my money away or gathering my things. I told him, "I wasn't ready" He just looked me & rolled his eyes. Rude & racist
Nice, comfortable seating. Helpful customer service.
Great theatre w/ soft rocking seats.
Great theater. No recliners but they're pretty comfortable seats. They lean back at least. Good selection of indie films.
Nice and cozy. Comfortable seating
This is my usual movie theater. The prices are affordable and they have many big movies premiering at around 7 pm on Thursday. They usually have some good indie films there as well. Throwback Thursday is also fun, with special themed months. This month is a different Wes Anderson movie.
Pretty great movie theater. First run movies as well as Indies. I don't know why, but i have found that the employees here (like many "art houses") are a bit rude. In the three times i've gone i have been ignored when asking a question, yelled at for not exiting the film even while the credits were running, and also yelled to exit after a Q&A even though there were no more films that evening and we were all headed that way.
My thing is comfortable seating because during a long film my legs can get jittery and uncomfortable. I prefer lounge seating. The seating was listed as rockers. So we are sitting upright and my tall companion could use his legs as counter balance to lean back. I am not short, 5'5 and was unable to position seat in a leaning back position. I was very uncomfortable. Luckily the film was a good one. The theatre is otherwise clean, service good. But I will probably avoid this place if I can see what I want elsewhere. Laemelles generally have great movies but seating not so hot.
A super neat little local theater chain, and you'll love your experience. Accepts MoviePass. Good, clean, old-school space, great popcorn, friendly staff. :)
Very nice theater, comfortable seats and delicious popcorn and lemonade.
Particularly fond of their specialty screenings, live guests, trivia contests, etc. April puts on a great presentation through their Eat See Hear series. Snacks are priced low. Great cinematic experience!
Great theater! They are always super friendly and the place is clean! Great old school theater to visit!
Excellent, small theater with a variety of showings. Nestled in a young, vibrant neighborhood, it's a wonderful area for dinner and a show.
Polish Film Festival is held at Laemmle NoHo theater every year in October for at least a week featuring a wonderful variety of Polish movies. You have an opportunity to watch documentaries, short movies, animation and feature films of high quality. At each screening you participate in a Q&A session with invited movie makers from Poland. Thank you Laemmle for this treat. The theater is well managed with friendly and professional staff.
7 theaters. Good selection of movies. Friendly staff. The noho 7 is a nice mix of a smaller arts theatre and a big movieplex. Lots of fun.
I love this theater. It's got an old school vibe and old school prices and not too crowded. Clean, friendly personable. And..it's close to where I live. I just really like Laemmle there are several of them. Not as expensive as many other theaters and...very cool! : )
"Peanut Butter Falcon" Liked it..other movies there not at the more popular theaters ..
You can't pick your seats at this theater. It's open seating. Popcorn smells good.
Very nice movie had a great time with kid's day and my nice drink I got there to help with the kid lol
This is a great theater with an old school "home town" vibe. The staff is friendly and is also knowledgeable of movies/Cinema. Ticket prices are some of the best I have seen in LA, and the concessions are also very reasonably priced. They also have a station for flavorings to put on your popcorn. The seats leave a little something to be desired but are still comfortable enough for long movies. One of my favorite things about this theater is their special screenings that they offer. For instance they will be playing old Wes Anderson movies during the month of March, it's always nice being able to catch an old classic on the big screen. Parking structure entrance is off of Wedington Ave, has plenty of spaces and only costs $2 with validation, and is good for 3.5 hours. Validation machines are located to the left hand side of where you purchase your ticket(s), and to the left hand side of the concession stand. The location is surrounded by great restaurants and bars making this a great place for dinner/drinks and to catch a flick. Would definitely recommend!
Great prices, well heeled guests, wide variety of indie films that will make you appreciate NoHo!
A place offering good independent films and a very friendly and accommodating staff. I think the staff must be so proud of the unique films featured that they go out of their way to answer questions or just reflect with you after a movie....I really like this place, and have been 3 times since moving from Oklahoma City this past year.
Older movie theater. Basic seating and atmosphere. Watched a movie premiere of LA short films.
A nice enough, mellow location at which to see a movie. Laemmle NoHo7 is not as cheap as it used to be, and they've adopted tiered pricing based on the day you visit (more expensive on weekends to see a movie than certain weekdays) but the price still is slightly more reasonable than the Arclight. Of course, you're not necessarily getting state of the art sound a la the Arclight, nor necessarily are you getting the luxurious big recliner-seating exhibition theaters, but it's absolutely fine.
Lovely older theater. I always love coming here and seeing independent films and animated movies! Great location, close to fun restaurants as well. Always clean and staff is always kind.
My FAVORITE movie theater! Always clean and the staff is friendly, personable and helpful. They have the freshest popcorn (and, I think they yse actual butter on the popcorn). I go there so ifteb, they know exactly how I like my poocirn and hotdog! I love this place and they have the best prices. Their "premiere card" can't be beat.
Nice place!
Very enjoyable experience with very fast service! Not too crowded so we were easily able to get a seat. The only issue I had was the configuration of the bathrooms. Other than that, great fun and well priced
A nice, simple cinema in the NoHo Arts district. Good staff and great movies! Works with Movie-pass!
Always love seeing the best films here. Staff are smart, entertaining and always a pleasure to interact with. A plus, you don't have smuggle your Starbucks coffee in -- it's allowed.
Indie theater with nostalgic vintage posters and imagery sprinkled throughout. Great place to see a lot of independent films and a blockbuster as well. Great matinee bargains and prices overall compaired to bigger movie chains.
I wish movie prices were cheaper, but so is the market. This location is in NoHo Arts district, so cool to walk around after a rom-com
Always great here
I love this theater. They serve tea and snacks. The staff is always super nice. They play big and small movies. There is a parking garage nearby where you can validate and get $2 parking if you are going to the theater. They have a rewards program, where you get discounted movies and free popcorn on Thursdays, yum. Get it!
Nice and comfortable place with good sound system. However, if you plan to sit high don't forget to take warm clothes as time to time air conditioners are too strong
Good sized theaters clean and they support independent film makers
The staff was nice and friendly. My family and I had a great time.
Nice place to catch a flick! Great location with many restaurants and bars near by. Parking is super easy and street parking available!
Love this place. The reclining chairs and great sound system equal fantastic movie experience
Price was cheaper than all other theatres. Very clean and comfortable. Easy parking. Decent neighborhood. All good staff. Good experience.
Great theater that supports independent cinema
Always a unique experience compared to chain theaters. Small theaters, comfortable seats, less crowds.
The theatre is very nice and clean and has a nice selection of movies
Lovely theater
Too many trailers of films I doubt I'll ever see, and parking was problematic. On the plus side, lots of good food places nearby...
Great theater, thanks to the staff!
Good local theater in heart of NoHo Arts District
A small theatre, but certainly serviceable and well kept
We love Larmmle! The staff are great and super friendly and helpful. The theater has a funky vibe to it and we’ve always had great experiences here. Also very clean
Went to a screening of LA Macabre season 2 today with the producers, Director and actors. The theater is clean and easy to access. The parking is validated and conveniently close. The sound system was excellent as well as the projection of the film. Had a awesome time.
A fantastic place for independent cinema
The theatre was small and cozy. The popcorn wasn't that good. It tasted a bit stale and could have used more butter. The movies are very good, especially since they show independent and lesser known films.
Great theater but no AC The theater was pretty nice and prices were good. The problem was it was 80 deg F in n the show. With no air movement it was uncomfortably warm. I would probably give it another chance but not in the summer.
I loved that this movie theater shows films that major cinemas do no often release, the theater itself is very nice and maintained, absolutely nothing wrong with watching a movie here
A nice theater with interesting programming and themed movies nights. Walking g distance from the Metro Red Line and some decent eateries. What's not to like!
Classy little indie film house. They don't have the lush comfort of new movie houses, but they exude the vibe of independent film and that is what you will find here
The popcorn and snacks are wonderful you can really have a great time on your movie with you snacks that are so good especially the popcorn
One of the best in the Laemmle chain. $6 first shows are a bargain. Also, INVEST in their PREMIER CARD. It works like a debit/gift card and even a large tub of popcorn WITH A REFILL comes out to $5!!!
Cozy theater & helpful, friendly staff. Always seems to have fresh popcorn! (which is important to many avid moviegoers like myself) Try it, you will likely be pleasantly surprised.
A fun, comfortable place to see a movie. Nice staff as well.
I love coming here because it's got comfortable seats and plays some smaller titles
Very quiet, local theater that supports independent films and shows blockbuster movies too.
Great prices from admission to concessions. Definitely recommend
This is a great local theater that shows a very good selection of both indies and blockbusters. Since the theater is smaller, the equipment they have is not as good as a large theater, so I usually come here for indies. Unfortunately, their smaller screens suffer from intense keystone issues where the screen looks like a trapezoid.
Laemmle's is always a nice place to see a movie. The staff is pleasant and it is clean. The restrooms can be messy though and the towel dispensers are usually broken.
Like all Laemmie theatres NoHo 7 is unique. They split their screens between main stream films and indie films. The theatres are small, but the chairs are really nice (they recline in a rocking motion). The lobby, ticket and snack bar area is small, but clean with a quality selection. As of June 2018 there is a sign in the window for an application to sell beer and wine. I hope they get it soon. Parking is behind the theatre, with validation the cost is about $2.00.
Quaint
i saw Holmes and Watson. theater had comfortable seating, good sound system, intimate size, lively and engaged crowd.
A great little theater. Interesting movies, both independents and widely released movies, much lower ticket prices than others in the area. As long as you don't expect too much of it - it's old and a little shabby - definitely not fancy - you'll enjoy it.
Nice theatre complex with an exceptionally friendly staff. Parking is convenient too. Highly recommend. I'm going back for sure.
Real Fresh Pop corn w/real butter. Love the film choices
Always a grt movie venue.
I attended an screening that was part of the Valley Film Festival and the gentleman distributing tickets did not even know what movie was playing. Empty theater and a bit run down.
Saw movie on Sunday morning reviewed it for the director told them the first third sucked the second 2/3 were terrific fetched my car from the lot across the street play tetherball with the guard
Great service.
Terrific screen and sound system at this theater, it was a great place to see my friend's short film at LA Shorts Fest. Good food/drinks and gormet ice cream on the same block, so you can make an evening of it.
Bad experience here going to see TULLY on may 9th. The female manager was rude to me for no reason after I paid for a ticket. I was refunded and left after half an hour to see the film at a different theatre.
Very nice place loved seeing a movie there
Great Seats ... Chairs ...
Hate walkways in the middle of the theater but the staff is nice and it's a well run facility
I saw a movie for $8 on a Saturday morning. It is a smaller theatre but they don't need all the gimmicks like some other more expensive theatres when you're only paying $8 for a movie. I do wish the seats reclined back just a little bit because I had to take my ponytail down in order for my head to sit right.
Great movies. Terrible seats
Best movie theater around. Make time to see a matinee for affordable tickets and less crowded theaters. It feels like an intimate, smaller town experience.
Great service, me the projection is doe correctly.
Great place to see art films. Never overcrowded.
Best theater in the North Hollywood area. Conveniently close and great staff :)
No lines, easy parking with validation, comfortable seats and yummy popcorn!Small theater but great service and cheaper snack bar.
A great experience every time I've gone
Great deal on tickets. Smaller than an AMC but still gets a lot of the big movies plus the indie flicks that you might not normally look for. $2 parking validated. Staff is always friendly and the popcorn is super. They even have alcohol.
Nice Cozy Movie Theater all the latest Movies.
Kapow International Film Festival 2019
