It's nice to have reclining seats and all but $11 bucks to watch an action movie in a theater with only two front speakers working? No surround sound, hardly any bass, it's almost like hearing movie on an old time radio show. Even after mentioning it, nothing was fixed. Very disappointed!

The ticket guard is so mean and racist. Maybe my skin color different. When I entered the lobby he was outside the building . I was looking at the screen for the movies show time and I want to buy the ticket , suddenly he came to me and asked me to buy the ticket . I was like kind ...WHAT ... ??? Did he think I just want to walk in to theater without buying the ticket ???? The ticket guard is not nice and racist. Horrible experiences. Sickening people

Happily drive to the Gem in Heber for first run movies at cheaper prices and cheaper condiments. After that its off to Little Rock or any other theatre that is not Searcy Cinema 8

Updated review: Bought tickets online so we would not have to wait in line for tickets. Walked up to the ticket taker with my digital ticket (that has a bar code) to be told to go through the line to print my tickets and come back. They charged a $3.50 convenience fee. What convenience? The point of buying online is to SKIP the line! Once at the counter I showed the employee my barcode. Instead of scanning the barcode she had me read the number to her. Original review: For the price, this is a below average theater. The movie prices and concession prices are the same as a nice, new theater. The bathrooms need to be remodeled. The toilets don't flush well. 3 stars because the staff is nice... Would otherwise be a 2.

Searcy Cinema 8 is the closest movie theater around for a good 30 miles if I’m not mistaken. The prices are less than most theaters now adays. That being said, the theater needs a renovation quite badly. It is NOT a clean theater, pipes are exposed in some of the theater cealings, there needs to be a bathroom closer to the auditorium rooms, and the chairs are falling apart. This theater has such potential, but sadly...It probably won’t get better anytime soon.

Desent for a small town theater. Popcorn is more than Cinamark at $9.50 for a large and no refills. They have a $16 bucket with one refill included. Maybe they had to do this because college students, ( majority of the town) was abusing the popcorn . The theater should be renovated soon in the next few years.

I recently went to this theater to see The Magnificent Seven. It was a good experience fresh popcorn, cold soda and comfortable chairs. The theater was clean and the rest rooms were clean. I will visit this theater again.

Worst theater I've ever been to. You can almost guarantee there will be a problem with the audio, video or both. Movies always start later than advertised. Tickets are $9.50 which is way too high considering what you're getting, but on top of that you can only pay with cash unless your purchase is $10. So if you want a single ticket you'll either have to use cash or purchase an overpriced concession and bump it up to $13+ to pay with debit. Biggest scam I've ever seen. This theater is a complete sham. Only reason it gets any business whatsoever is because it's the only theater in a radius of about 30 miles.

There is one large screen with stadium seating which is really nice. There are three smaller screens with stadium seating which are decent. The other screens are very small with a traditional seating arrangement; the seats lean forward because they were built for flat surfaces but are mounted on a slope. Since you pay the same $ for all the screens, it's best to see movies that have just been released since they are more likely to be on the large screen. The cinema offers summer movies for kids for $2 which is nice. Bring cash! You cannot use credit cards! If you forget, you can use their ATM which will charge you a hefty fee. Nice money-maker for the theater.

Rude Mr. Boss said “no water bottles allowed!” I was surprised and said,”I’ve never heard of that. I have a health condition where I need to drink some liquid.” Mr. Boss yelled something at me but we (3) were already on our way out the door. We voted with our $ and shall never return. Folks, company policy may say stuff but that doesn’t always make it right or even legal. •Also, may like to know that the “Free Popcorn” (lighted Marque out front). Is really not free. You need to buy the bucket for $18. Then the popcorn is added. That’s what’s great about America though. Freedom of choices.

Cenima is pretty clean and the reclining seats are great. But the prices are up there. $9.50 for a Sunday 2pm showing no matter the age. And we skipped concessions because a large popcorn and drink combo was $15. Prices used reasonable. I'm guessing the updates caused the price increase. Still enjoyed our show.

Prices are high, theaters are outdated. Staff are not friendly. Owner is dishonest and not someone I will do business with again. My family is willing to drive 45 minutes to avoid this place.

The only game in town. I have to say they are working hard to upgrade this theater. The management and owners have kept up with the times and gone digital. It does have good sound and good picture quality in the larger theaters rooms. They now take credit cards which is nice.

It has a small lobby for sure but the theatre we sat in was nice and comfortable. It's expensive for snacks and getting in. I don't intend on going to often myself. It was a fairly good place though.

Very cute , small , homey , security on duty love that prices are no different than anyone elses. I love them home town feel and then seats are comfortable. I love them fact they don't sell liquor I will never go in another theatre selling liquor to adults bringing children to a theatre. All these people gripping about no debit card go by then bank and get some dang money . Cash try it .

Pretty good theatre. Cup holders, comfy seats. We saw Avengers here. It was great except don't sit too close to the front or you'll hurt your neck. The seats recline, but not very much. Snacks and stuff pretty pricey, but they always are at movie theaters. Staff seemed friendly enough, but not outstanding. Overall a good theater experience.

My family lives in Judsonia so it's the closest one and they have recently done a lot of little but significant upgrades the chairs are super comfortable. The only reason it has 4 and not 5 stars is the concession stand still needs some love. I would deffently recommend going here with your family for movie night.

You get to pick between spending money on gas to go elsewhere or biting the bullet and over paying in town. The staff is friendly (for the most part), it's not run-down or trashy, but the prices are nearly worth going somewhere else. 5 star prices for a 2.5 star theater. Ill go with a chip on my shoulder.

This is pretty much your only option unless you want to drive out of Searcy. I recommend this as a last resort for those occasions when you can't make it to Little Rock or Conway. It just feels dirty, their chairs squeak, and they can get you with price because they are the only option.

You know, I can handle the fact that the theater is dirty, the popcorn is stale, and the soft drinks are flat but what really galls me is the policy of not accepting credit or debit cards and then having the audacity to charge $2.50 per transaction for the use of the lobby ATM machine. I can understand the Rialto not accepting credit/debit cards because of their $1 admission model but there is no reason at $9.50 per ticket that this place cannot afford to process cards. It's a scheme pure and simple. I wonder what percentage of each $2.50 fee that the owner gets to keep.

While the facilities are acceptable, it could certainly do for a major remodel. Not much has changed in the last 20 years even though there have been some updates along the way. Thankfully, the staff are friendly and helpful, the projection and sound equipment have been updated at times so it is still an enjoyable movie experience. You certainly get that Mom-n-Pop feeling whether you wanted it or not. I am grateful for the cinema and the opportunity to see first run films at their time of release via digital projection.

Ticket price and snack average prices you'd see in any theater. Chairs comfy and theater clean. Only complaint I had was Jurassic World was playing next door and we could hear the bass occasionally. We had a great time all in all. Staff was very friendly we will be returning.

If you like a theater that skips previews (this happened the last 2 times I was there) and has loud air conditioning to the point where it's difficult to hear a conversation in a scene of dialogue, this is the place to go! You're better off going to North Little Rock if you can afford driving 2 hours round trip.

I would give zero stars if I could. The management is more interested in ferrying you through the theatre like cattle than caring if you are enjoying yourself. Overpriced concessions, a "VIP" theatre with reserved seating where 3/4 of the auditorium is just standard partially reclining seats. Everything about this place is bad.

Comforatable seats, especially in stadium seating. In regular theaters, the seat backs are so high that it is difficult to see the entire screen for children or shirt adults even. The staff is friendly. On a recent visit, the restroom was clean, but toilets were not flushing well. My main complaint is the selection of movies. Many new films are never shown here. Preference is apparently given to action, animation, and silly comedy movies.

Fun theater! They could use a better concession menu, but the employees were all very cheerful and helpful. Theater was clean and well maintained, I'd definitely go back! In addition to the standard movie foods like nachos and popcorn, they have White Castle cheeseburgers and key lime pie desserts too! Free refills on the large drinks!
