You know that we don't usually stop to place feddbacks when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Movie Theater is classified in the category of Movie theater.
It's kinda boring but it's hella lit on Saturday's
This place is a dump. It's creepy as heck! It's dirty, there were bugs crawling on the counter. If I read the other reviews prior to seeing a movie, I definitely wouldn't have went here. The lady started the movie for us, there was no one else there, that was the only "plus". We constantly had to look over our shoulders because this whole theater looked like a scene from a scary movie. The movie itself was a good quality, it could have been bootlegged like other reviews are saying. The previews were of movies that are already out.
People were helpful I would shop there again.
If stars I would. Me and my wife stopped while passing through in hopes of visiting stores and using the restroom. We were immediately uncomfortable as we reached the front door and it REAKED of weed . Walked in and it was creepy as hell. Nothing open and barely anything open. We were waiting to get robbed ....there were Stains that looked like brain splatters on the walls and no toilet paper in bathroom, my wife was so scared I had to go to the restroom with her. Burn that ratchet dump down .
If I could put zero stars, I would. Do NOT waste your time or money at this place. Honestly, we are partly to blame for not turning around and walking out the minute we walked in. The place is a dump. Dirty, cluttered, poorly managed, hot, and overall just a sad excuse for a movie theater. We decided to give it a try because we were in from out of town and there wasn't much else to do. We saw online that the showtime was at 6:55 so we got there around 6:45. It looked completely abandoned. We walked to the window and it said to go inside to buy tickets. We went inside and there was one lady behind the counter, literally at a computer controlling the "movies" that were playing. We noticed that the doors to each theater were opened, which we thought odd, but thought maybe they just didn't have films playing. We realized later that it was because there were box fans in each doorway because there was no air conditioning. We went up to buy our "tickets" and she charged us $10 per ticket... Then she handed us printed off pieces of paper and stamped them. The back reads "$7.95 + $1.75 FEE". What?? So then we wait for our movie... while we are waiting, several people were coming and going and one came out a couple of times to say that the movie wasn't working or it was just sound and no picture, etc. Then she literally went into one of the rooms, made the people in there move to a different room, and then turned the movie on for us to watch in that theater.... ????? It was 20 minutes after the time it was supposed to start at this point. We went and sat down, careful not to trip over the CORDS in the walkway. There was trash all over the place. When the "movie" started, it was just a white screen with audio. It was CLEARLY a bootlegged film. We decided not to waste any more time. We went out and asked for a refund. She said there are no cash refunds and we told her that was fine because we paid with a credit card and she could just refund our card. She refused. The whole thing was SO sketchy that we felt (and still do feel!) that there is a lot more going on at this place that just bootlegged films, so we called the police. It was evident by my conversation with the officer on the phone that this was not the first time. The officer came and was very polite and explained that this happens all the time and that legally there is nothing they could do. She told us that she never even brings her children to this theater and that this lady (owner? manager? I don't know...) has been reported multiple times and it has even been on the news and in the newspaper because of the bootleg accusations. So why can't they shut this place down?! I don't know. I wouldn't be the slightest bit surprised if there were other scandels going on here. Stay away! We did not get our money back, but we will dispute the charge with our credit card company. My only consolation is that another lady walked in in the middle of our discussion and decided not to waste her money so at the very least we were able to save one person the trouble.
Lot of place was not open but the ones that was great prices and all size.
This was a theater I'd never expected and ever want to see again. I didn't go inside and everything about it said "Don't go in". There was no one at the ticket booth, or doors. The door was wide open. One lady told me someone inside had her ticket and walked in. For all I know. She could have been sneaking in to see a movie. All the stores around it was close and it was in the darkest part of the mall. If you ever seen the movie "The Blob" This reminds me of the theater in that movie. Heck the mall looked like something out of a horror movie. It was like the movie "Dawn of the Dead" These movies clearly depict this theater and mall.
Ok
Not enough stores. .its ok for what it has,I think Garfield has opened and closed 3 times...such a shame it used to be awesome.
The food is so good.
Hardly any stores worth visiting. Limited food choices. Ghost town.
What a dump
Why/how is this place still open? Not many stores in this Mall at all. The movie theater had NO attendant, but had a note on the ticket window (but it was open). The food court was just sad. Two restaurants, one that closed early, and the other had very little food on the buffet line (and it didn't look appetizing at all). The Christmas display was very nice and festive though. That was probably the highlight even though it was closed.
There was a rat in the building running along the wall. The floors weren't cleaned at all . The food court vendor areas were dusty and the outside APPEARANCE was a disaster.
Great place to see a movie
This is not a mall anymore, it's just a JC Penny's and Dillard's attached to a ghost town. I would never recommend visiting this mall, unless drastic changes take place. I would suggest making the drive to Park Plaza mall in Little Rock.
This mall needs strong security and more vendors
Great movie selections, friendly staff, shows start before noon and can be arranged for midnight viewing,Tuesday discount prices. Altogether, a good place to be.
good mall but if they had better citizens, by transitive property they would have a better mall
I don't shop here much. Penny's and one or two other places are all that's worth going in there for and even they aren't really worth it.
Nothing there but a good Chinese place with the best egg rolls
We ate at the Mexican grill and the food was amazing and u got a lot of it
Coffee Jones has great sweat tea and apparently good coffee. It is conveniently placed right in front of the kids zone. I recommend you try it out.
Best movie I'd ever seen.
It's in the Mall in Pine- Bluff Arkansas. Located in the Pines Mall! Please support Black Business. Come out & support & enjoy quality time with your family
I was glad to hear the theater is under new management. The last time we went it was a big mess! Tickets were too high for what you get and there wasn't even anyone there at the time the movie was supposed to be showing. She came in extremely late. Entire thing was just run down and very obvious noone cares about keeping the theater in good shape. We look forward to trying again once they freshen it up.
None of the movies are set up to go at the times advertised. You tell em what you're there for, then wait till they set up a theater. It's absolutely ridiculous. Canned drinks . Old candy . Horrible centr and management
It is your typical movie theater showing current shows. This theater is nothing special.
If I could give half a star, I would. This theatre needs to be shut down. I came back to edit my post. Do NOT believe the reviews that are good here within the last couple of years. The food is NOT fresh. The theater is NOT clean. The movies are NOT remotely close to being decent quality. This mall is a joke. Sadly the new owner has let it go down the toilet. Which, by the way is not even open anymore. Their restrooms are closed and DISGUSTING. It's sad that Pine Bluff doesn't have a decent mall and movie theater in town anymore.
Dillard's and JC Penney thanks for trying to help keeping this mall open !
Good food but not many stores to shop or choose from. Almost deserted!
It's empty.. JCPENNEY Dillard's and Bath and Bodyworks is all that's there. Wish it was better.
This place needs to be shut down. No outside lighting. The only movie theater in town has been known to run boot leg movies. The owner has her office behind the concession stand. She can't pronounce her "R's" .....or she would be calling it... The Pines Marr.... I see now why it was shortened to The Pines. 1out 4 toilets worked..... Just a plain old run down NASTY PLACE.
Bootleg movies but at least u get your own theater bc it's dead.. half the mall is shutdown
I wish we could rebuild our mall, it is well overdo. So many upgrades and renovations needed.
Manager always goes above and beyond to make you feel welcomed.
I always find me something pretty out there.
Gross food caked on everything sticky its gone downhill.
Kentucky Fried Chicken. I was hungry and it was good.
This mall is Dead... Like 5 stores ate open in the whole damned thing... Back in it's day it used to be jammed pack with stores amd outlets... If I could do a quarter star I would
Pines Mall is so sad and very quiet. Everything is about gone all stores are bout gone. I only go there for the chinese food in the food court. My favorite place to eat chinese. Well i hope they dont move cuz then i have no reason to visit the pines mall
There weren't a whole lotta cool stores there like Independence and Kansas City Malls!!! But you're major stores are there... Dillard's, JC Penney's, best of all..."Journey's"!!! I love me some "Journey's"!!!
Need to do better
Love the Chinese food here. The mall has gone down hill over the last several years. Not many stores still operating.
Interesting mall.... wish it could get some quality stores in it and help revitalize Pine Bluff
Such a disappointment!
The service was slow. Food was okay, except for the salad. . .it had the freshest taste!
Empty. Dillard's on one end and JCPenney on the other with multiple closed stores between.
What are you thinking what is this supposed to be?
Dead place. No stores and what store are there are overrated. Popcorn n More is amazing though! Love their popcorn and employees.
Although most of the major stores have left, there are still a few places to shop as well as eat. You can also get your hair cut at King Kutz, there's a nail salon as well and so much more.
This mall is sad... A few stores are left... My wife hates going there and that is the only reason I took her....
Getting very desolate. Don't go there after dark.
The Pines has really emptied out. What a shame! I only go to Dillard’s and then go directly into that store, never stroll through the mall. So sad
Not good
Everyone was very hospitable, hotel was very clean and well taken care of
Best movie theater experience i have had.
Awful. Closed.
Worst mall ever visited! Worst than Fiesta mall if you're familiar with AZ. This has to be the most sorry excuse for a mall in the entire world. I've seen shopping centers in worse neighborhoods doing a better job and providing a better shopping experience than this mall will provide. Waist your time if you want to but I'd call whatever store you'll be visiting first and see if they have the item you need and can hold it.
Had a great time... The prices were great...
I don't go to the mall often...but I enjoyed my visit. There are not many stores left however. I only go for JCP, Dillards and B & BW.
We felt like we were guests on the Twilight Zone...I had my grandchildren for the week of spring break...decided to drive 40 miles to see a certain movie...you have to call a phone number and go inside to pay...the Korean? lady who works from a computer to purchase tickets...popcorn had to be 2 days old with clumpy butter added...generic drinks served out of a can...dirty and extremely cold with no heat on anywhere and 32 degrees outside...we were the only ones in the movie...popcorn and cups everywhere...dirty bathrooms....I am 62 years old and have been to many theaters and this was the worse...They showed about 30 minutes of previews inappropriate for children to see...Movie was probably bootlegged...Its so sad that this is what Pine Bluff, AR has come to...this use to be a great place to see a movie....
This mall needs to be upgraded! No stores to shop in.. It's done needs to be closed!
I was headed to Malco in Monticello but got caught in a thunderstorm so I turned around. I didn't want to let the kids down so I decided to check if the pines had the movie showing and it did. I haven't been to the pines movie theatre since moving back home because of all the bad reviews and I hate I spent a single cent there tonight. It was nasty, the popcorn was the bagged popsecret that you purchase from the grocery store! She opened a bag and brushed the seeds into the popcorn machine. The 1st bucket of popcorn she gave us was cold and stale & she got pissed when I told her so. She made some more but it was so bad we just poured it out. I ordered a couple of the posted combos but received something much different. She gave us generic soda in a styrofoam cup so I asked why the cup was so small and she said "YOU DON LIK HERE YOU NO STAY HERE & YOU NO REFUND!" She heated the cheese in the microwave and stirred it with a metal spoon then poured it on the chips. Well, the chips were stale and the cheese had frozen cheese chunks still in it. We just tossed everything to avoid any confusion as the kids still wanted to watch the movie (which showed over 30mins late)and she also called the police on a lady for requesting a refund after waiting an hr for a different movie to start. She told the lady she could take a rain check and come back when she was in a better mood!
I recamend that everyone go out to the pines mall and check out K C down home cooking. And open bar .
Needs a lot of improvement. Was a good theater when fandango was around.
While this place is on the general decline, it still has a Bath & Body Works, and the Jc Penney is a clearance center too, so lots of awesome deals.
Large screen and very comfortable seats. Large snackbar
I love to go to bath and body work
Horrible mall need to tear it down and start over. Very sad.
Though the ticket price is relative high and place is not very clean, but to run a cinema theater in PB is not a joke. I think, the owner is doing a great job to keep this Pine Mall alive.
Mall I'd getting run down a bit. Lots of stored left. But still go for Penny's , Dillard's and Bath & Body!
Man.. after reading the reviews I was worried about coming here.. I thought there was no way it was that bad.. but it is.. Had to wait 15 mins past the starting time and had to remind the lady to start the movie. Went to see dead pool 2 the little slip of paper said d edpool on it lol was very surprised to see the trailer for the movie I went to see.. the trailers for the movie was about 4 months old. Sound quality was terrible and it was hot in the movie theater. Wouldn't recommend.
It was once becoming vacant, but now that Coffee Jones and King Cutz are located "in the cut", as they call it, there's free internet and jazz to listen to as we enjoyed coffee and sandwiches. Great job, Pines Mall! WSH
I loved this quaint little charming shopping mall all of the staff in each of the stores where respectful and helpful
I love going there . It's close by
The staff member was really nice on my first visit which will be my last. My overall experience of the theater is rated a 2 out of 10. The concession area was not the tidiest and the large popcorn really amounted to a small in comparison to other movie size large(it definitely isn't a size for sharing). Although you get free refills, you'd miss quite a bit of the movie going back and forth to refill. Inside the screening area needed cleaning. The sound quality wasn't all that great from the speakers and I could hear talking/noise in the lobby because there weren't any doors to shield it out.
Good place to shop are. Just walk around
I have hopes for our mall getting better... It's dismissal, in bad condition and in need of a serious remodel. More stores have closed. Only 2 anchors left are Dillard's and JCPENNEY.
Walk through the 80% dead mall to find this place, had hope that i could kill some time with a movie and no one was at the window. Walked in and smelled stale dead air. Looked up other reviews and decided they were pretty much right.. So decided not too....
Dillard's had a great sale so that was good. The men's restrooms were absolutely disgusting and the women's restrooms were closed. So that was a real negative part of the mall. The overall appearance of the mall is very dirty, the glass doors that meet you coming in I don't believe have been cleaned in months there were so many fingerprints that glass looked frosted.
Good service
The lady at The Shoe Dept.was very helpful with my granddaughter shoes.
This place has been on the decline as long as I've been alive. That's 25 whole years of getting worse. They started having to close early because of gang violence.
Run down
Run down and most of the stores are closed. I remember when this place was brand new and the star of Pine Bluff. Not so much any more
Old stomping grounds
Its like visiting the remnants of a once grand city. Most of the businesses have long passed, but there is alway hope for the future. Its living proof that the internet kills shopping, why go in person when you can order online?
Wish there were more stores. Recommend visiting Dillards
Never have the new movies
Not safe and two anchors stores have closed, a third is rumored, and Dillard's at one entrance looks like a warehouse than the " classy " image it used to have.
Nice mall but other big name companies have left.
Seemed fine to me. The screen is a little smaller but it doesn't impact the movie. didn't notice any smells, staff seemed friendly, and they had two people cleaning when I walked into seating. Ticket prices are the same as any other theatre, can't say anything about popcorn, soda, candy as I never buy them in lobby. Just sneak in drinks and snacks like everyone else and it's fine.
It can get better one day
this is the absloute worst movie theater in the country, all the movies are booth leg and very low quality they dont even serve real movie theater popcorn, its microwaveable popcorn in a bag and the place is filled with bugs and roaches. i tried asking for my money back once i seen how horrible it was and how nasty the theater is and the women was very rude and refused to give a refund.this movie theather is a disgrace even for pine bluff.
The mall is isolated it's almost never populated. I only go to get my eyebrows threaded and she's the best. You may have to sit for 15 minutes but it's well worth it. Eyebrows on FLEEK
Lady was sweet, I since everyone thinks this is a bad place...I had whole theater to myself for Last of the Jedi. Although it hurts their business that people decide to lie about a place. I must say, it was awesome not hearing some kids phone go off
Jcpennys is one of the best stores in the pines mall the whole mall is awesome.
