Carmike Cinema in Harrison, Arkansas has recently implemented the policy that people purchasing tickets are subject to search by an armed guard before entering the movie. I will be waiting for movies on DVD or online now that this has happened. Carmike has lost all of my business and that of my family. Service was severely slow! Go back to selling tickets at the window instead of making people wait in LONG lines and then forcing them to buy popcorn and/or waiting for others who are buying goodies before getting tickets.

As one of the previous people stated, the floors are sticky. Another issue I have encountered with them is the heat not working in particular theaters which is rather unfortunate during the winter and can make the film be less enjoyable. I have also had a case in which the film had not been able to play and we were sent home without having had the experience we paid for. As with any theater, the prices are high for both the tickets and the food and drinks. Unlike another previous poster claimed, it is not due to "bootleggers and internet thieves" but the film companies taking most of the profits from the tickets. This causes the theater to raise their prices on food and drink in order to turn a profit.

Nearly 7.00 for a large drink. Concessions are more than tickets and they wonder why people try to sneak stuff in. I can buy a 24 pack for as much as they want for 1 drink. The seats are uncomfortable and needs to be updated to reflect the recliners they show in their own commercials about what makes AMC great. I am missing carmike. They did a summer program for children and this year we dont have it.

First time seeing a movie at this location. The movie was good, the theater was ok. There was a rip/spot on the screen that was distracting. The seats were really uncomfortable and too close, no elbow room. The staff were too busy talking amongst themselves to care if they had customers walking through the door. The bathrooms were clean but they're located in the very back of the building (not helpful when you're trying to make a quick bathroom run). All in all I give it a 3 because it could use some improvements (mostly staff morale and nicer seating) but it was clean, the previews weren't half bad and the money was awesome!

This theater leaves something to be desired. It desperately needs renovations to be brought up to speed with the current AMC theater standards, and that is made clear in the cleanliness and condition of each screen room. I am a MoviePass member and resident of Harrison, which means I come here often. However, I still consider driving 45 minutes to go to a different theater every time I go. Some of the rooms have annoying speaker clicks (NOT fun when watching A Quiet Place), others have bits of curtain falling onto the screen and cutting off part of the movie.

I have sat in line well into a movie because of people buying all their food and drinks as they get tickets. I think someone with a little wealth could do nicely building a good theater. PS bathrooms are horrible.

We enjoy Harrison 8. They by far have the best 3D around. Yes, better than branson. They have the great dlp projectors. They were the first with that. Prices are stupid, yes, but bootleggers and internet thieves have caused that. Good people there, and the times are correct on the internet. Branson Meadows consistently has the wrong times and even movies listed on Google, Flixster, etc.

Bought 4 tickets online quick and super easy for the 10 pm Avengers, they had a new time at 930 available that we were able to switch too, had a great time!! The popcorn was delicious! So are the pretzel bites, the only thing that would have made it better is a big Pepsi, instead of Coke products but hey it was still great. The staff were young, but they were friendly and welcoming.

Called on the phone at 9 30 asked about the last showing of crawl Was told the last showing was at 10 15 but movie did not actually start until 10 30 was told we could come in on between those times to get our tickets. We had a whole family with us of 6! The theatre would have got a lot of money but instead as soon as we pulled up and parked we saw the 2 people that we’re working there peer over the counter and one slouched down while the other turned down the lights and started rapidly wiping down the counters... The one that turned down the lights and started cleaning everything busted her way to the door when we attempted to go in and stopped us and said SORRY WERE CLOSED even though another group of people literally went in there in the 5 minutes it took us to get up to the theater doors... When I asked her about what she told me on the phone, she simply looked down at her phone and lied and said the hours recently changed. I asked her within the half an hour I called and spoke to you? She again looked down at her phone and started rapidly texting and started complaining about her ride being late?????? And then she just shut the door in our face. She then went to the counter where the other person had ducked down, and showed them her phone. I think it was a guy but I couldn’t tell. Me and my family want some kind of service done about the way we were mistreated and lied to and shut out when other people were there and we were there exactly at 10 15 when she told us the movie started it’s previews!

This was a good experience, the staff wasn't as bad as people said it was. And they served almost as soon as we walked it. The tickets were fairly priced (the popcorn was a bit expensive, but hey... what do you expect). We watched "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle" the seats were a little bit small, but i could manage it. They weren't super comfortable, and we got bad seats, (bottom left, lol) that wasn't their fault though.The floors were somewhat clean... not the best, not the worst. After the movie was over we went to the bathrooms and they were actually CLEAN, in a MOVIE THEATER! After all i would say that it was a good experience, 7/10 The best part of the WHOLE thing was when we were in the bathroom and saw someone with logan paul merch! It was hilarious!!!

My wife and I went in for a matinee showing. I was running late and frustrated by the long wait for only 2 people in front of me. But the staff was very friendly and cared for the customers who I could tell were regulars in the familiar way they talked to them. And, the trailers we're very long so I didn't miss any of the movie. The restrooms we're very clean. The popcorn was delicious and the price was awesome for a matinee.

Very clean, courteous service. The girl selling the tickets, quite friendly and informative about specials and courent specials. The volume in the theater was louder than I would like. I'm sure for other movies the volume needs to be that loud.

I wish we had a better theater. On one occasion, I noticed ants in the candy display. A lot of them. I told the counter guy and he just said something along the lines of "Oh". The food was really stale on this visit. On the other visit, we bought a regular ticket and the movie stopped about 5 minutes in. When it restarted it was in 3D. People complained and the workers would not give us 3D glasses. We had to go grab a bucket of glasses and pass them out. We were told that we had to watch the movie in 3D, even though we specifically paid for and wanted the 2D experience. 3D gives me and my child headaches. Nearly everyone in the room was angry. I thought the other patrons were going to riot. This was The Force Awakens on opening weekend. I've been back since a couple of times, only because it was convenient. Much better to drive to Branson or Ozark, MO to watch movies.

Very clean, courteous service. The girl selling the tickets, quite friendly and informative about specials and courent specials. The volume in the theater was louder than I would like. I'm sure for other movies the volume needs to be that loud.

I wish we had a better theater. On one occasion, I noticed ants in the candy display. A lot of them. I told the counter guy and he just said something along the lines of "Oh". The food was really stale on this visit. On the other visit, we bought a regular ticket and the movie stopped about 5 minutes in. When it restarted it was in 3D. People complained and the workers would not give us 3D glasses. We had to go grab a bucket of glasses and pass them out. We were told that we had to watch the movie in 3D, even though we specifically paid for and wanted the 2D experience. 3D gives me and my child headaches. Nearly everyone in the room was angry. I thought the other patrons were going to riot. This was The Force Awakens on opening weekend. I've been back since a couple of times, only because it was convenient. Much better to drive to Branson or Ozark, MO to watch movies.

First time we went to see a movie they sold us the ticket for 7:30 show, we went in and the movie was almost over..... why didn't she tell us up front?!? Next movie started at 9:30. The time was listed wrong on websites! Then last night we went to see a movie, waited in line for tickets, we got up there and they had not received the movie. But did not post it or put signs up.... so many people left mad! Me included!!! I am done! We will go to Branson to see movies from now on!

Staff was very polite. But that is where it stops. First time being at this theater and the place was a mess... Gum literally everywhere, sticky floors, stains on the screen, and messy seats... I enjoyed my movie but I think that will be the only time I go to this establishment.. Good staff poor cleanliness!!

Came to see new star wars movie. Had a power outage but the accommodated us. Thought they would have problems with the projector for the one we were in, so they were gonna put us in a different room. But got the one where we were supposed to be working.

Have been going to the movie here for years. When we attended last Friday night we ran into an issue. I didn't make much out of it, even though it was a rather big deal as far as watching the movie was concerned. Today, while filling out the survey on my receipt, I explained our issue. Within 15 minutes of writing the review, I received a call from the manager. I was pleasantly surprised at the quick response and how concerned he was to make things right. In this day and age of declining personal service, I was very pleased. I'm glad to know that there are still people in management who still care, and go out of their way to insure people are happy.

Is a great place to watch movies use the AMC Rewards card that you sign up for you can get your popcorn movie for $20.79 and if you can get more you ask them how you earn more points while watching movies is a wonderful place to be free refills with rewards members card also same card

Love my hometown cinema....always good time there....only issue is sometimes they hang on to movies for too long and bypass bringing in other movies. At least twice i have had to go to Branson Meadows to see a show because Harrison did not bring it in.

Such awesome, awesome service here! I went to watch Toy Story 4 and had my baby with me. She got upset because one of her favorite toys wasnt there (in all irony) and would not stop crying. I decided it would be best to leave before causing too much trouble for others and the manager offered me ticket passes to come back at a later date! I always get A+ service when I'm there!

Since they have become an AMC cinema, they are more accommodating with their movie schedules. The theaters are small but comfortable and clean. The bathroom is kept clean also.

We went to see Aquaman at this theater. Before it was bought by AMC and fixed up, we had stopped going there and gone to theaters in Branson instead. This was because it was dirty, the staff wasn't the best, and more than once there was actually no heat in the middle of the winter. I'm glad we gave its new incarnation a try. We had a great experience. Not only was there heat in all the theaters (*gasp* lol), it was clean and the staff was great.

I'm very glad movie theaters still exist in this age of Netflix, cable, satellite, streaming, etc. Excellent staff at AMC classic Harrison. The only thing that can use improvement is a few repairs inside the building (hallways, restroom, etc).
