The ppl who work here allow cars to be parked in the driveway and I was trapped in when I desperately needed to leave after I saw the first movie. This is the first time anything like this has ever happened here but bc of the lack of structure and rules I will never come back.

I went to watch end game. There was a issue with someone parking in the driving lane and they blocked someone's view of the screen. A few people went to go get managment but management never came.

Would have given it a 5 but the staff was incredibly rude and the bathroom was beyond disgusting. My boyfriend and I are here visiting and were so excited to go to the drive in, we were both appalled at how rude the employees were to guests. The movie itself was great though.

It has its issues but still a good time. The bathrooms are always filthy by 30 mins in and nobody comes back to check on them during the movies. The stall doors dont lock and wont remain closed. Soap and things always run out during. Bathrooms really need work!! They close the concessions after the first movie and they will throw you out if you're not ready and out the gate as soon as the second movie is over. The staff can be rude at times. If they would just work on these things it would be 5 star good place to spend summer nights!

I love going to the drive in here. It's a cheap one price per car load and you can usually see two movies because it's a double feature. Only big budget blockbusters are single movie showings which isn't often. They have a lot of food selections in the concessions stand. Like hamburgers, onion rings, pizza and nachos. The problems are that the concessions stand isn't the cleanest place, the men's bathroom door opens so that you can see anyone standing at the urinal from outside and the biggest issue is that the screen can be difficult to see especially if there are any darker scenes. It's kind of disappointing when watching a big special effects movie like Avengers Infinity War and it's like watching it through three pairs of sun glasses. But at least it super cheap and fun.

Never going to the Sand Mountain Drive-in again. Hardly 5 minutes after the movie was over there was an employee out there with a spotlight telling people to leave. While me and my girlfriend were waiting for the front window to defog he came over there with the spotlight and told us we were trespassing. He threatened to call the cops and would only call the manager when I told him to go ahead and call the cops, the entire time I spoke to him he kept shining the spotlight in my eyes and then turning it off and back on while having it pointed at my eyes even after I asked him to stop. The manager was just as bad, all this happened in less than 15 minutes. I will never go there again and I advise others to stay away as well.

Great place for families! Great food, prices are great, and you are able to bring in your own food if you want. You get to sit in your car and the movie plays right through your radio. If the weather is nice you can sit in chairs outside and watch the movie or the back of your truck! It's a great experience that isn't around much anymore. This drive in is opened year round. Weekends in the winter, 7 days a week in the summer!!

I had to vote 3 before I could commit .I am done watch predator. I am know watching slender man. Both show have no light. Meaning the film is so dark you can't tell what is going on. Second the base on radio is as low as it can go and it still has way to much base. What is really sad is I am setting in the drive end right now and can not see what's going on because the screen is way to dark. O stars out of 5 is my real review. pretty said when your writing a review while the movie you are watching is do dark and basey to enjoy. 10:03 at night and slender man started hour or so ago and I can't see it. Same with predator. Never coming back. I wonder if they start shinning flasflashlights around like other have said.. Guess the family will find out.Also the stand was closed after first movie.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! It's beyond comprehension that we still, somewhere in this country have the opportunity to see a movie at a drive in. AND, they only charge $15 a carload. We live 15 hours away, but ever since we discovered this little gem, we go out of our way to make any trip we can include a stop on movie night. We have been when it was so cold that even tons of blankets and body heat were not enough. Had to crank up the truck to run the heat. We've been there when it was so hot that you would wonder why you even went (but never so hot as to leave early or not go). Lots of summer nights folks set up lawn chairs out in front of their cars. We've been when we got into town so late that all we saw was the last half of the last movie.... but we go. I guess people don't understand that the days of the Drive In movie are an endangered species. There are only a handful left in the country. Being 58 I've had many experiences in a drive in :) but for my children and grandchildren it is experience unparalleled. Not only that, but they run NEW movies.. I implore you, if you haven't been, take a kid or two and try it out, I promise you won't be disappointed with the experience. As far are the previous negative reviews, I can't say I understand them. We have been going to this establishment for over 2 years and have probably been at least 10 times. We have never been spoken to rudely, never even been looked at crossly. No one has ever hurried us, and one time we were the only car on side 2. Once we tried to get something at the snack bar and were told that they didn't open it during the winter (or something, maybe on weekdays) but whatever it was, they were very apologetic and polite. We do try not to linger in the parking lot as the second feature is over quite late during the summer. I'm sure they are tired, working for our entertainment. Speaking of the snack bar. They have really good food which is not expensive at all when you realize they are cooking for a captive audience. All that being said, our 14 year old daughter has the Sound Mountain Twin on speed dial. Anytime we're headed out, she's checking the current showings :) Gotta say, it has to be something pretty impressive to warrant a 14 year old wanting to go anywhere with their parents! Every time we drive away, I'm afraid it will be the last time. Very few Drive Ins left, and what few there are, are closing at an alarming rate. I'm thankful that we found this one and hope if you reading this and are able, you too will find the pleasure an "old time family entertainment" can bring.

I love this place. Its a great way to spend some time with the family and NOT breaking the wallet....which i have to add, there are not a whole lot of places for kids that offer that. $15 i mean come on! They offer consessions which are reasonably priced (like nachos,a whole pizza, chicken tenders...good food) so dont feel bad if u dont have the space in the car or the time before your film comes on. Plus, the website and number is updated weekly...along with the movies. You cant go wrong!!!

We always enjoy the drive in. Most movies are $15 per car load, AND double feature. Yes, you get to watch 2 movies for the price of one. This is a place we really enjoy going to relax. They also have pizza and many food items you can purchase at the concession stand.

Went on a rainy day for a double feature and still had a great time. The entry and concessions are reasonable when compared to a standard theater. Entry fee is $15 per car load. Concessions for a drink and popcorn were in the $6 range, but that was both large size. I'd go back for sure if I were local to the area!

We love coming here to the movies. We have for years with our kids. The price for 2 movies is unbeatable. The only drawback is the concessions are understaffed and it takes a long time...40 minutes...to get food. Other than that we love it. Just bring your own food and drinks would be my advice to anyone coming and enjoy your movies!

I have been going here for 4 years and most of my experiences have been good. If you go in the winter be prepared to stay in your car for awhile but it is easier to see the movie because it gets darker faster.

★☆☆☆☆ Used to really like this place and still would, but went today with some friends and just as the movie ended, before we even had time to pick a blanket up off the ground an employee came out flashing a flashlight directly in our two year olds face after being asked repeatedly to stop and she's screaming now. He started yelling and threatening us as we are trying to hook her car seat back in. Then throws trash at our friends window and tells them that they are trespassing and the he will call the cops. I saw him go to a few other cars as well probably saying similar things. Sorry, but he ticked me off and ruined a good night with friends and my family.

Not even 2 minutes after the last movie was over one of the workers were out telling people that they had to leave. They shined an extremely bright light into my friends 2 year olds face saying we had to leave as we were cleaning up our mess. as our window were defrosting he came over to our car and said we had been there for over 10 minutes and that we had to leave or he was calling the cops. We asked to speak to the person in charge and were told he had "no time" for people like us... If thats how this business treats its customers then they have just lost all of me and my friends and family as customers.

Fun family experience. Bring lawn chairs if you want to get out of the car and watch with a group (bug spray too). Coolers with cold water/soda good idea also. They do have a snack bar that's reasonable. Bring a radio so you can tune it into the station and hear the movie outside the car. Only negative, gross bathrooms.

The place was horrible bc of the deep mud everywhere.theybshould invest in putting gravel down and then 10 minutes after the 2nd movie began I went to the concession building for help and could not get in but there were people inside so I knock and they turn and look and say they are closed! I actually didn't need food but to ask for help with my vehicle. So I look the number up to call inside to ask and I can only get an automated system and only other contact is Facebook and I sent message and still the next day hadn't gotten a response.our shoes are all crusty in the mud and it's ridiculous.

Very nice for a Drive in Between two cities in the middle of no where. Cheap to see usually 2 movies for 15 dollars, new releases! The snack bar is nice, reasonably priced. Funnel cakes and deep fried oreos and lots of fried foods along with pizzas on the menu. Only problem is when people park next to you who smoke and the smoke blows out the window. I go seveal timmes as weather allows during the summer and spring. I've been in the winter but kind of wished I had broought more blankets!...lol

Couldn’t hear the sound because of static in the radio, and my kids couldn’t hear the movie at all. I went up front to the guy who took our money and asked for a refund and he was so rude and unprofessional !!!! He told me that none of the other cars was having problem that I probably didn’t have the radio on the right station which I did, (105.5FM) what the paper he give us said ! Then said he wasn’t giving me no refund I was welcome to leave because he gives off the signal and I basically didn’t know what I was doing smh! I will never be back !

We love taking the family out to the drive in whenever we get the chance. We try to get there early and let them run off energy then they typically fall asleep after the first showing. My wife and I have been to 3 other drive-ins and compared to the others this one is a bit lacking. For example the Henigar drive-in has much better food and we feel their prices are more fair compared to food quality.

Had such a blast watching Toy Story 4 on the big screen. The area was clean and being able to stream the audio to your car radio was very convenient! Bring your own snacks and drinks and it's only $15 a carload! Can't beat it!!!

We went here last night (Saturday) to watch lion king and toy story 4. They were playing on the same screen and that was going to be absolutely great. My wife and I took our 4 kids along with us. We get there at 7:30 ( movie starts at 8:10) and it is so packed we're discussing what we're going to do when we make it through the line and get up there to pay. It doesnt look like there is going to be anywhere to park. We get up front and ask the gentlemen taking money if there is any parking left. He responded "yes there is plenty of parking by the trees on the far side". We go in drive to the far side and luckily there is one spot we can park but unfortunately there is no getting out. The people behind us have no where to go because the road actually ended into that last parking spot. There was no one directing traffic at all by the way. So we get parked, can't see but about 3/4 of the screen because of the tree limbs hanging out over into the lot and we have no choice but to park under them. We got our chairs out and walked in front of the truck and sat down for the movie. They finally started turning people away after about 10 minutes of sending people to the trees where there was supposedly parking only to back all the way out. Once they started sending people out they realized there was no way out on our side and had to open the other side just so you could get out. At one point, me and my wife thought we would leave but that was no option. We were packed in there so tight we had no choice but to stay. Movie starts and it was good. During the break between movies my kids and took to the bathroom while my wife went to get drinks and concession snacks for everyone. After the bathroom we met up with my wife who was still in line. After missing 30 minutes of the 2nd movie due to the extreme line length we finally got our food. They were still selling the food even though it was obvious they were about out of everything. They started giving everyone tiny portions with this explanation. "We had to cut our portions down due to the amount of people here, if we fill it up like we normally do then we wont have enough for everyone". So my complaint was then why not cut the price as well. Nope, they still charge outrageous prices for the small portion of food they gave you. This was the absolutely worst experience ever. This place is more concerned about a profit then customer service. Not to mention that just beyond the tree line I would be willing to bet that all the sewage runs out of a pipe over there because the smell was very strong.
