Here you have all the feddbacks of real people like you who consumed the products and services of Grand River Drive-In & The Backyard (Movie Theater) near to the state of Alabama.
Nowadays the firm receives a rating of 4.4 out of 5 and that rating has been calculated on 226 reviews.
You must have seen that the average score it has is good, and it's based on a very large number of feddbacks, so we may be pretty sure that the assessment is very reliable. If many people have bothered to leave their opinion when they are pleased, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to set scores when they are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Movie Theater is classified in the category of Drive-in movie theater.
Pretty awesome movie experience
First time coming here and had a horrible experience. When I pulled up to the window and handed the pre-bought ticket to the lady working there, she told me the screen was down for the movies I wanted to see (Black Panther and Pacific Rim Uprising). If the screen is going to be down then put it on the website.
Great food , prices, and plenty to do along with mini golf, playground and four big screens to chose from!
Love bringing my 10 year old to the drive-in. We only cone here for movies now. Much more affordable and comfortable!
It is so great that you can’t even imagine going!!!
I just wanted to inform everyone that their website states they are CLOSED FOR THE SEASON, not permanently closed. I don't know why because they were open through Halloween last year.
Nice food and very clean I enjoyed the Movie and the Environment
Drive-ins are so great for a family experience. Also with the price of movie tickets this day it is a great thing for your budget also. We really enjoyed and can't wait to see the finished additions.
Had no problems. And enjoyed the movie!
Great place for relaxing date .. My husband and I also took our kids and they loved it.great prices great food GREAT PLACE !!!!!
Fun for the whole family. There is so much to do while waiting for your movie to start. The facilities are Clean (which is most important). An awesome Play Ground for the kiddos, and the Concession is more of Food Court (anything you could possibly want) and then to top it all off .. The Live Band was playing while we played Mini Golf. As soon as we were finished playing, our Movie was ready to start. Absolutely PERFECT.
I love that it has a bar and 4 movies to choose from.
Nice!
Awesome and my Au-Some son with ASD gets to be comfortable inside our vehicle while we enjoy family time at the movies
They have done a great job pulling off 4 drive-in movie theaters right together and this day and time. Good family fun with mall, putt putt golf, arcade and many other things to do at same location.
Are they closed for the summer? I went on the website to get tickets and it says it's closed for screen update or something. When will you open??? Everytime I have gone to order tickets the site has said it was temporarily closed. Also if you close in the winter wouldn't that be a more idea time to upgrade so you can offer a full summer agenda?. Just a thought.
Great food, parking was excellent for viewing movies.
Horrible experience tried to be polite by calling management about someone continuously having their lights on during the movie, I guess management have No control because they kept turning them back on so I'll just keep that in mind & spread the word when anybody say they want to come to this drive in!!
Great place for food, fun, and entertainment.
Great experience, a great place to watch amazing movies, family friendly but great for date nights as well!
We saw Finding Dori and it was our first visit. It's by far better than any drive in I've been to. Everything was an excellent experience, for people complaining just go pay $15 a person at a theater . . Don't be so ungrateful. They should have a 5/5 rating. Let's build it up to show the actual experience's worth.
So we love this drive in but their 'season' is so short. The other Coyote drive ins are open right now why isn't ours? I would much rather go in April or Sept/October when I don't sweat my you know what off than June/July when every mosquito in Alabama wants to enjoy the movie with you.
LOVED IT
Loved the experience& the pizza is really good
It's never too crowded and I'm glad that you all brought drive-in movies back!
LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!
Stop number two on the 2018 Blazing Heat Putt-Putt Tour, put on by South Ridge Landscape and Softwash, featured the Coyote Drive-In course. Hands down, this course is one of the nicest courses we have played at, a top three course in the state. The atmosphere is great and the course is a plain and simple skill course, with no fancy or unrealistic set-ups. However, there are a few things to know. The course should strictly be day-time only as there is no lighting besides the dimly lit rope lights that string across it. If you are planning on playing this course, tee off before 7:00. The course lighting is understandable seeing how it is just outside of the drive-in theaters, but limits playing time between open and 7:00 p.m.
Come here all the time with my girlfriend. Been coming here since January no matter the weather. Had a couple issues with people and their hatches; and people driving with their headlights on during a movie (if you are passing between parked cars, just turn on your parking lights since they will be bright enough for your speed). Best deal for movies. Went to a theater a week ago and spent almost $25 just for us to see one movie.
Great place to come and spend time with your family and grandkids
Amazing place! Facilities are always clean and staff is very kind.
Movie quality was excellent and eatery within walking distance
Cheaper than going to an indoor theater. During the winter months its only 5.00 per person for two movies.
Great evening of fun
Great experience...Crystal clear sound and clean facility. Order was also precise and timely. The workers were also well groomed and friendly. While waiting on my food, one of the workers shared some history of the facility as well...which I really appreciated! I'll definitely be returning soon!
I had an excellent experience here. I've only been to one other drive-in, which was the one that used to be in Argo. This place is a million (okay, a gazillion) times better!!! I love the fact that you can get there early, purchase a radio and hangout at the picnic tables, and get a wider selection of food options than a traditional theatre. Of course, they also have the standard concession stand, too. ;) One other feature I love is the mini-golf. What a great way to spend your time waiting on the movie if you get there early, or, if you choose, you can wander around the outlet mall to kill time. :)
We arrived early so we could get a good spot but the attendant told us the wrong screen to go to so when movie started we where not at right place so had to move the had to park so far away couldnt see the screen and the channel was so distorted u couldnt hear the movie. But rest of experience was nice...
Have been taking my family to Coyote Drive in since they're grand opening. Friendly customer service, fair prices in canteen (also has a bar serving wine and beer), you can play put put golf (cost extra) or kids play in the park while waiting for the movie to start or shop the Leeds shopping center! Restrooms have always been clean when we have visited. Only problem we have ever had is, radios are limited. Be sure to get yours first thing. And second, if it's rained any that day or the day before, the playground holds water in the mulch. Hope this helps on finding a cheap, fun family outing. :-)
Went there the first time because they were the only place still showing Alice Through the Looking Glass now it's my favorite place to go if I want to see a movie 10000000 stars recommend to everyone
It's great
Normally I'd give it 5 stars. But I just drove an hour only to make it here and the screen door the movies I came to see are down. And you couldn't put that on your website?! Seriously?! If you have a screen down, especially for movies as popular as Pacific Rim & Black Panther, you seriously need to let your patrons be aware of that before the drive all this way! Just saying....
GREAT PLACE FOR FAMILY FUN!! THEY HAVE REOPENED AND THE NEW OWNERS ROCK!! We will DEFINITELY be back! Staff were wonderful helpful, and very polite. Love the way they look so professional too(*khakis and a polo tucked in with belts*) ! Highly recommend this place for a fun family night out!
Great family outing for a very reasonable price.
Great place for family fun! Putt putt golf dinner and movies all in one place.
Decent experience overall. A little pricey but good fun and a great environment. Very family friendly.
Love this place. We enjoy the movies year round. The food is good the staff is friendly and the atmosphere fun and easy to get around.
Met the General Manager, nice man, the staff at concession stand very polite, I was on crutches & they went out of their way to give me a ride on the golf carts to the concession stand & back to the truck. Definitely will go back again, the movies were great also, Spiderman & MIB, overall a great experience...
I truly enjoy the drive in experience again. They have a state of the art concession center, mini golf, and you can shop the outlets prior to the movies. Two of us can view two of the latest movies for less than the price for one person at a normal theater.
アメリカらしい体験が出来ました。映画を2つ見れて、値段は安いと思います。 ただ、2つ見るとかなり夜遅くなります。
Good... Friendly
Awesome place with friends, recommend bringing an open vehicle and some lawn chairs :D
I️ had a blast here! Plus there is lots to do!
Fun experience and can't beat the price. $5 for 2 movies. The only downside is that it's a really long trek to the concessions and restrooms.
Not to bad this time
I enjoyed it thoroughly back when it was coyote drive in. It's under new management and a new name that I dont recall at the moment. Prices have doubled, and I get my kids out there only to be told they were sold out because a lot of people purchased tickets online, which was also new to me. Needless to say, we sat in that long line for nothing. If you have a high demand movie coming out, may want to consider doing like indoor theaters and show it on more than one screen. They have like 4 or 5 out there.
First time visitor and we came to see the secret life of pets 2 and we couldnt hear at all. I thought it was gonna be surround sound but it wasnt . No one told us anything about how we would be able to hear
So clean!
Enjoyed the movie with family
Great place for the family, loved it!
The best movie theatre drive-in
Great theater, terrible service at the concessions. 10 people leaning on the counter. Forgot half our order without apology extremely rude.
Best value for family, great movie prices and good food value.
Awesome
I drive from Tuscaloosa to come here regularly... Always worth the drive...
Does not look good
Good prices, good food, first run double features. Good projection quality.
Fun environment. Plenty to do while you wait for your movie. Great playground, and mini golf.
Had a blast. Great movie screen size. Line to enter was quick. Well well worth the money.
Kids had a lot of fun, food was pretty good. Wish they served coke products
We love taking our kids here!
Fun for the whole family with Beer
Awesome!!!
Just a good relaxing vibe and a great way to watch a movie
One of my favorite places to visit.
Such a fun place for the kids and adults!!
Love this place
Normally I would have given it a five, but I was so excited about it opening back up to enjoy twice and then shut down again. Also, Coyote had rules that were on the screen before the movies, like lights off, hatch backs have to tied down , and there were a few other rules but these two are are extremely important. Otherwise the people in front of the people who won’ turn off their lights or they won’t tie down the hatch back is ruining the movie for a lot of people. Last movie I seen there, SpiderMan which was a big movie everyone came to see it was ruined by people that left their lights on the whole movie!
Good movies, great food, awesome company!#withthewife!
This is the best Drive In ever!!! Huge restaurant. Good playground for older kids! Putt Putt and even a bar area. 2 new movies for the price of 1 and clean restrooms! Drove 2 hours and it was worth it!
It was our first time, and we had a great time. Reasonable food prices, high quality projectors, and everyone near us was respectful of each other. There was only one point in the intermission that we smelled smoke from someone smoking and it didn't last long as they moved away from the other cars after lighting up. If you want to smoke, that's fine, but don't do it near my kid.
Love this place ... Nice place to have a date on or even carry your children
Great experience for my first drive in Movie
I like coming to the drive in but... rude people pull in front of u with big vehicles so u can't see. Be nice if someone patrolled around to deal with this issue. And there's always some group of drunks nearby with booze making a spectacle of themselves. So much for no outside food or booze.
I thoroughly enjoyed it. We will definitely be back!
Very nice family oriented place. Great movies at a cheap price. $5 for 2 movies. Excellent staff. Very helpful. The young gentleman who works there, help assist us with our flat tire out in the cold. A1 service.
$22 for movie, $33 for food and drinks, having to leave early because you can't hear the movie due to static.... priceless.
I've never been to a drive in until going here. It was cheap for tickets and they had multiple different screens with different movies playing.
Great time for the family. Every showing is a double feature?!?! It's cheaper than a traditional theater and you can relax inside or outside of your vehicle. Love it!
Better than a traditional theatre, more recent double-features. I'm knocking a star or two off. Why? Because you can't tell that an area isn't a parking spot when someone moves a cone, and their staff says "DID YOU MOVE THAT CONE?!" when I haven't even exited my vehicle the first time.... So, I was told to move. They need to set some reflectors up, or something, to be able to see the no-parking areas... instead of leaving customers to guess. Also, one of their staff members said "turn your headlights off" when my headlights were NOT on. When I get in and out of my car, the AMBER colored sidemarkers do light up, temporarily. They automatically go off. I had to go use the restroom, and was sick that day. Whoever it was in front of us that got a staff member was using some racial terminology/epithets, so I have a feeling that had a lot to do with it. Not a good experience.
Well I been there several times and is a family place , good place to enjoy with family
Love coming here & enjoying the music & food. But needs to have WiFi.
Haven't seen a movie yet but it's good for letting the kids play.
Great Place for a Family outing, we have been several time
Good food and great picture
We were on screen #3, which is radio station 104.5, and the audio was so overrun by static that we had to just leave. It is too close to 104.7 (a country station), which comes in crystal clear. Before we left we tried the other movie audio radio stations, which were clear. So I suppose it was just our bad luck. However, this was not a good first experience.
2 movies for the price of 1. Great place for famiy!
Glad to have it back
The gravel is not wheelchair friendly at all. The pathway leading to the restrooms, speakers, and concessions is not paved! Yes the sidewalk is wheelchair friendly but it's the journey to it that's ridiculously unsafe to cross! Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.
great time, clean, food was great and enjoyed the movie without anyone kicking my seat that's Awesome!!!
I enjoy it every time with the family
I really enjoyed myself. Everything is well priced. The selection of movies is better then any drive in I've gone to. They kept the restrooms really clean. I don't go to movies alot. But I want to go to coyote drive in a least every month if not more.
VERY, VERY DISAPPOINTED! It doesn't take that long to put in new equipment! I think they ran out if money! It should still be owned by the owners that had it prior, it was cheaper, you seen 3 movies AND it was opened all year! A N.V D IT WAS NICE!!
I love the Coyote. Very nice and 2 movies for 8 bucks. Heck yeah!
My son and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at the drive in. We played mini golf while waiting for the movie to start. Everything was reasonably priced. I recommend to anyone with kids 10 and under.
Had a very good time there.
Always love going here for the double feature movies for $5. Also they have really good food and beer. Hope whatever they are doing to it now don't mess up what they had because it really didn't need any change.
Great experience with friendly staff.
Awesome every time
This was my absolute favorite place to go see a movie. When I worked at the mall, I would usually get my lunch from here as the food was great and the prices were even better. The atmosphere was very tasteful for a movie theater and they always had a double feature for I think either at $8 or under per person which is an unbelievable deal for two movies. I have heard they have been bought by another company and are doing renovations according to the other company’s taste, and turning the concession area into a BBQ restaurant. I am actually considering this a downgrade as the Coyote drive in was perfect (minus the gravel, paved cement would have been a huge upgrade). I am going to miss the Coyote drive in so much, and I already have a biased opinion towards the “new” drive in.
They have everything one would need.
Is the drive in movie open today?
Great food, something different to do, the only thing is make sure your radio works properly as thats how you get the audio for the movie
They really need to change their hatchback policy. There was one in front of our car blocking part of the screen. We approached the car (before showtime to give them time to move), the management approached them twice, and nothing was done. They tied it a little and it was moved twice once management left. Their policies state that hatchbacks can't block the view, but they don't enforce that policy at all. The other customers were even rude to the management and had no repercussions. I will not come back and I don't suggest it to anyone else either. They need to enforce their policies or make people use drive-in movies correctly.
Loved it on a Wednesday . Not crowded. Deadpool was great
Permanently closed?! Why?! This drive in is simply amazing...prices, set up, whole thing. The concession stand has great food for a pretty good price. It's no dollar menu but not bad and tastes good! We come as often as we can
If y’all are gonna be closed y’all need to put it on the website and on the phone lines. There was a line of people out here trying to see a movie and y’all are closed. Please at least make it known
Love enjoying movies from comfort of our suv
Itى ŋɩcҽ
Absolutely loved it. We went on a Tuesday and it wasn't crowded at all. The food was priced very affordable compared to most move theaters and we got to see 2 movies which was cool. Definitely recommend it.
Loved it. Food was little pricey but good. Loved the two movies for one price
Echoing an earlier comment...be warned if you get screen 3. The station is 104.5 and 104.7 does bleed over at times. Facility was nice over all. We arrived about an hour before our movie and there was plenty of time to find a good spot. Good food(and a wider selection)at cheaper prices than a theater. Just hope you don't draw the short straw and get screen 3...
Randy & I will b going Saturday nite 7:15
Always wonderful experience just saw Dr. Strange
