During the summer months, I would go once a week on Tuesdays and it would cost me $5.00+.45 tax for the movie of my choice. This price is good all day and night on Tuesdays. I love this price for any time of the year. Never have I been disappointed with anything there. I will probably catch a couple of flicks during the holiday season!

AmStar was a surprisingly pleasant experience. We we're greeted kindly by the employee in the ticket booth as well as at the concessions stand. The facility itself was very clean. The floors weren't even sticky, which seems to be the norm at any theatre. They also play classic films on Wednesdays and Sundays, and the selection seems to be pretty good. We will definitely be back soon!

Purchased theater tickets thru Fandango for End Game. Line was long at ticket window and walked right through. They scan the barcode off of your phone and love this feature.

Really nice theater, very clean and friendly place. Come on an opening night and you may see a character or two. Price's are not too bad for a theater. Seats are nice and large screens. It doesn't have an IMAX :-(

Horrible experience at this movie theater..I went today with my siblings to enjoy a movie on Thanksgiving. We were verbally accosted by an usher when my sister checked a text message..He told her "put your phone away".she did..but he continued to stand by our row of seats and glare at us.My sister stated that she put her phone away and he snapped" If you have a problem, take it up with guest services". I complained to management and the manager, Mike and general managerJustin, were extremely rude and condescending when I explained what happened. They were impolite, uninterested and downright unapologetic for the way their employee behaved.I will avoid this place and I wondered why there was such a slim number of people at this theater in comparison to other theaters..now I know..this place should be avoided..Horrible customer service and incompetence from managerial staff!!!

I like the AmStar theater in Alabaster they always have the newest movies, the matinee prices are decent. They always have enough screens open so you don't have to wait all that long for the next showing. They rooms are always clean and the staff is always friendly.

The theater and bathrooms are clean. My family enjoys coming to this establishment as it is convenient to home. I wish they would keep the roasted pecans available, as they were out the past two visits. The other area of concern was the game room which smelled of urine, which has never been a problem before. I would recommend this place to others.

Good clean environment. Good popcorn and drinks. Seats are comfy and have plenty of room. Prices for movies are crazy expensive at all theaters so went to matinee. Still $9.25 per ticket. Plenty of restraunts around the theater for meal before or after.

I absolutely love the homestyle and safe environment at Amstar in Alabaster. We normally go to Patton Creek but the girls wanted to try a new place. The police officer was giving high fives, greeting everyone, getting the kids excited about the movies. Truly a great asset to the location. And the manager was so resourceful, ensuring we had a great time! This will definitely be our new movie spot!

Our family bought tickets ahead of time and only had to pick them up. It was quick and easy. We went on Super Saver Tuesday, so it was more economical. We enjoyed the movie and got a great picture of my son being eaten by a shark.

I recently went to see Avengers Infinity War here. Staff was friendly, the place was clean, and the picture and sound quality in the theater were very good. My only complaint is that the temperature inside the theater was way too high. It was probably 80 degrees in there. It made the area really stuffy and smelly because it was a packed house. If I hadn't been enjoying the movie so much I would have left because I was so uncomfortable. The rest of the theater was cool, but there was no AC where I was.

Great movie theatre. This is our favorite location to visit since it’s the closest. The place is clean, picture and sound quality are great. Seats are comfortable. Usually a little chilly, so bring a jacket!

They utterly refused to play The Shape of Water when it came out. They said it just wasn't a popular movie, so they were carrying other more popular movies and I would have to go to another theater to see it in Birmingham. Think they will by wanting to show it now that it is picture of the year????

I used to like it, and we had the Amstar membership. We were happy until 2 months ago. Twice in the last 2 months, we planned to see a movie, and they did not have the movie, though the movie was on the schedule Friday. They made last minute changes. I have never heard of a movie theater doing this. We did not get a refund nor a free movie of another choice in either case. We went to another theater to see a movie. The movie was not available, but they gave us a free movie of another choice. We called management, and they said we could get a refund if we went inside to talk with management. I cannot trust the movie schedule that is posted. We are through with being regular customers. Inside of being our first choice, we plan to go look elsewhere to see a movie.

Dated interior/exterior. Only one butter dispenser worked so there was a line. There are much better theatre experiences for your money just 10-15 minutes away in Hoover/Birmingham.

Wheelchair accessible. You can bring a wheelchair front and center easily. Complex was large and clean with friendly helpful employees. Had a good experience here.

Only on Tuesdays when the tickets are discounted. Just moved here from Texas and I'll say this. Alabama needs to step their Movie Theater game up. Those old 1990's style seating need to go. Y'all need to upgrade to individual recliner style seating ASAP!

No bathrooms for the theatre area had to run from one end to the other to keep from ruining myself from the bad popcorn oil. The movie was ruined by the bright lights flickering on and off. It was during the 10:30 showing of aqua man on Sunday
