While the staff was very friendly and nice, the venue is getting outdated and very over priced for additional service items. I emailed a couple of concerns hoping for a response, otherwise I wouldn't leave a poor review. The worst was while the final service at the graveside was going on, the temporary shelter had a large panel come loose from the wind. Not only was this not safe, it was distracting at a very important time. I also thought it was disrespectful that they had it setup on someone else's grave so we were standing on them while the actual grave was a couple hundred yards away.

I went to a funeral there last week of a friends and at the end of the funeral the lady that runs the place stared advertising her funeral home, it was very inappropriate. And then when it came time to bury my friend they had a tractor and a generator 100 feet away making a lot of noise with no consideration of we were bearing a friend a son and a grandson I love one it was very disturbing.

Great place even to take pictures and just walk around. Should you need help the staff are very pleasant and helpful. It's a great place to wander around to think and unwind. The grounds are very well groomed and are well kept. There are many places to sit and contemplate how things are going in your life. Even the wildlife love the trees and fresh green lawn. Just stop and smell the flowers on your walk throughout the place.

DON'T use Evergreen Staples/Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. They have no compassion and are dishonest. Your money is all they care about. They refused to let us to see mom on day 1, on day 2 told us we could arrange to see her for $305 but it would take an additional 5-6 days before we could see her, told us they moved her to their "sister facility" in Portland on day 1 where all services would be completed (they have no "sister facility" in Portland), took 15 days to receive mom's ashes back. We have no idea where our mom was for 15 days or where she was cremated. Unacceptable service and no apology offered to our family. We filed a complaint with the WA DOL and encourage any one else who has had issues with their service to do so as well. They need a wake up call!!

This place is very disrespectful! My father's grave has been destroyed a number of times by they're grounds crew and then blow you off like it's not they're problem. Disrespectful treatment from they're employees to the families and the deceased buried there.

We used the funeral home for the chapel and reception to follow. They provided us with an officiant Doug McCleary who did an excellent job. Had many compliments on him. He made it very personal. My only issue is I think they push to many funerals in a day. The time allotted was just a little to short. 2 1/2 hrs only. Even 3 would have been better. We were pretty much pushed out even though we had just started to load things up as they only have 1/2 hr for the next people. They even made a comment. “Need to clean up cause the next people are coming in”

Both my mother and father rest at EMG and I cannot say enough great things about the company. The process of laying my parents to rest was difficult to say the least but each member of EMG that helped us was nothing short of amazing! I am forever grateful for everyone there and all the love and compassion we received from them during the hard times as well as each time I visit.
