My dad died very suddenly and unexpectedly only six months after we had moved into the area. Curries handled all the details for me including cremation and sending his ashes out of state . I did not know that in the commonwealth of Virginia it is a legal necessity to formally identify the body. I did not expect that but Curries our dad in a suit ( which I did not supply), in a nice casket, and because he was a WWII veteran , they draped a flag over the casket . I was given privacy to be alone with him. I was given the flag. I was overwhelmed by their professionalism and courtesy.

The Memorial service was held at the funeral home for my mother. After the ceremony guests were rushed out the back door away from the family. The family was asked to sign for the ashes and rushed out the side door. The service announcement cards were printed crooked. I would think that a funeral home would provide a more comforting experience.
