Very unprofessional - does not allow the use of an EMPTY parking lot although they rarely get any business and there are never any cars parked there. Causes inconvenience for no reason.

I would give them more than 5 stars if it were possible. We’ve had 3 services there in the last 3 years for family members who have passed. Chrissy, Samantha and Kristine are all so sweet and compassionate. They were extremely professional and warm and caring. Planning a funeral for the unexpected loss of a 48 year old is never an experience you hope for! I would personally like to express my thanks to Ted Dickey and his staff for the outstanding care we received when we had to go through this experience. Their careful planning and suggestions and options helped us to plan a beautiful, but economical service for a father, brother, son, and friend who was loved by all! Chrissy took excellent care of my young adult grandchildren, carefully explaining details and options to them as they had to make these difficult decisions for their father. I would highly recommend this funeral home!

They forgot the urn and flowers that my grandmother ordered. We got to the veterans memorial cenetary and they brought my grandfather in a cardboard box. Horrible customer service. Would not recommend to another family.

My wife and I made prepaid arrangements with Andrew Hinkle and we couldn't be more pleased with his service. He's very professional, and doesn't push to sell something his clients didn't want. Granted, we haven't had the need for his funeral services yet, but we trust Ted Dickey Funeral Homes completely.

We were very pleased with every aspect of Ted Dickey West Funeral Home Plano. We met with Abby for over three hours the day after my mother's passing to make sure everything was perfectly arranged. Abby never made us feel like she was in a rush even though I'm sure we took up more of her time than she had planned. The day of my mother's services everything was exactly as we had arranged it. Kristine and her staff were very professional. My mom looked beautiful. The catered food was very good. The arrangements to get us to the national cemetery precisely on time and the 45-min drive with motorcade to the national cemetery were perfect. The limo driver was excellent. I am very grateful to the people at Ted Dickey West for making a very long, emotional day a bit easier for our family.

Arrangement for services and Followup was excellent. I had to engage their services on a last minute urgent basis. All preliminary arrangements were taken care of over the phone - after normal business hours. The initial call was answered, I think, by an after hours answering service. After speaking with the answering service, I received a call back within 5 minutes by a representative, and everything was taken care from that point on. Everyone was very caring and positive during a very emotional and difficult time. The final arrangements were made at their facility, and everything was taken care professionally and with attention to detail. I received consistent, timely updates and status. No reservations at all about the decision to use their services.

My father, Bill Olsen, & I worked with Samantha Hernandez about 4 months ago. My mother passed away very suddenly. If I could put 10 stars out of 5 stars I would for Ted Dickey West Funeral Home & for Samantha Hernandez. Every part of the process working with them was perfect customer service & care. Of course, words cannot describe the grief & shock my father & I were both in with my mother's passing. The staff that met us at the hospital to pick up my mother's body were beyond gracious, loving, compassionate, understanding, and open to our process & experience. My father & I both felt such support from Samantha & the Ted Dickey staff. Samantha can read between the lines and is one of the best listeners I've ever met. Her attention to detail, her patience, her authentic care, her follow through, her ideas, and her professionalism were stellar, stellar, stellar. We were able to make the most beautiful memorial to honor my mother because Samantha went above & beyond to help us. I've never seen such brilliant customer service...really. To say that she went above & beyond doesn't even paint the picture. She helped us process what we wanted to do to honor my mother, which was a very helpful process for both of us in our grief--it assuaged our sadness to send her off in the BEST way we could think & imagine. The owner, Ted Dickey, even came to the first part of my mother's memorial to pay respect to my father & I & to my mother. Everything was beautiful. Everything about our experience with Samantha & Ted Dickey's staff was loving, caring, professional, and beyond helpful. The florist they work with, the caterer, the musician, the online site & album--everything was perfect, and I couldn't be MORE grateful to have found this funeral home to help honor my mother in the best way possible. Thank you Samantha Hernandez, Ted Dickey, and all of the Ted Dickey staff. Some Amazing Angels Here!

My father and I had a superb (five star * * * * *) experience with Samantha Hernandez and her assistant, Melissa at Ted Dickey West in Plano related to my mother's recent passing. My compliments to 1) Samantha's attention to detail was outstanding, 2) she was involved in the whole process, 3) her personality is great, 4) we did not feel rushed at all so that they could go on to the next family, 5) both Samantha and Melissa overall are a pleasure to work with. Other staff at Ted Dickey West were very professional, discrete and attentive. I would recommend this funeral home to any family.

They did not take advantage of my grief to sell me unnecessary items, something I didn’t think of until many weeks later. I attended a friends funeral last Friday and I must say the funeral home did a poor job of planning. A grieving family is depending on the funeral home to guide them and support them in every step of planning a service, including reasonable service times. They had a visitation with military honors service from 1-2pm there at the funeral home. Then from a memorial service at 2pm that was held at a facility just down the road. How do you expect family and friends to get from one service to the other in time when you left no gap between services allowing for travel time? I asked a staff member if all the flowers were supposed to go to service and she said yes. I offered the poor girl some help, because there were a lot of flowers and some heavy vases. She politely declined stating she didn't want me to miss the services. There wasn't even time for staff to bring flowers and other material from the funeral home to the funeral service. There were three staff members when we arrived at the funeral home, but when it came time to go take things over to the other facility only one staff member was available to do so, of the three one was no where in sight and the other sat up front at the desk. The poor girl moving all the flowers shows up after services started. Obviously the deceased and his family were not given priority. To top it off during the military honors service there was some kind of strange music playing in over the speakers while the military played taps! What a disgrace to that final military honor for my dear friend. The funeral home should be ashamed of itself!!
