Mabrie Memorial home did an outstanding job preparing the homegoing services for my grandfather. The entire staff was very accommodating, patient and understanding of our families wishes. This made things memorable and honorable for us. We could not have asked for a better experience.

Rating with one star is TOO GENEROUS. Director Jones and "business" partner Womack are, in my experience, a greedy and ghoulish duo who have tarnished Dr. Mabrie's honorable vision into a house of horrors. Left my family stranded after repass by instructing limousines to drop off rather than wait and take home, leaving all outside, hot and humiliated. While viewng our loved one the day before funeral, I commented on a stunning spray of flowers next to the coffin. Jones replied, "Those aren't for you". My first thought was, so, our viewing chapel is being used for storage? Why aren't the flowers with the departed for whom they were delivered? I found out a week after the funeral that the spray was indeed delivered to our family , confirmed by the friend's floral service but proof of delivery feebly covered up by Mabrie management. Why? What did they use it for? Obituary details were wrong, nearly $100 of make-up i provided and they inventoried, was replaced by cheaper brands. I spent 3 hours with Jones, standing painfully as she corrected it. I sent many emails and made phone calls during business hours to address my concerns, only to have them returned by Womack with phone calls as late as 11pm - in the midst of mourning! Each of those disrespectful calls began with Womack telling me how busy his day was - in other words, "I'm more important than you are". And even then, his verbal and certified replies only showed how clueless, interested or uncaring he was about their policies or practices. I strongly believe that Jones' and Womack's method to respond by phone so as to leave no paper trail. I believe they count on families being too embarrassed to leave poor reviews about their experience, even though they are not at fault. I, myself was too wrapped in grief to let them drag me down. Now that some time has passed, I'd be complicit if I did not share this experience. Dr. Mabrie built this business as a sincere labor of love for his family and community. It is sad that his new business partner and worn out Director have chewed up that vision, and spit it out. It is now a sleazy, back alley operation. Beware

Mabrie's Memorial Mortuary gets a five star rating from me and my family. My beloved husband of 44 years passed away in late September and because my pastor was out of the country, we didn't have the funeral until October 6, 2018. The staff assured us that all would be well, and it was! Everyone who attended the funeral remarked about the wonderful job Mabrie's had done. We were treated with courtesy and respect and the entire staff was professional and compassionate. I highly recommend Mabrie's to anyone who desires to have their departed love one provided with the finest earthly care possible. Kudos to Dr. Mabrie, Justin Mabrie and their entire staff for making a challenging time easier to bear. Linda Whitley

All about the money. I would not recommend this funeral home to no one. Mrs. Mabrie didn't pay the pastor for doing my grandfather's funeral out of the money we paid her to pay the pastor don't take your loved ones here they get bodies mixed up and bury the wrong person. Think twice before you choose Mabrie "Crooks" Funeral Home.

Mabrie Memorial Mortuary did a wonderful job for both my Mother and my Brother's homegoing. As a matter of fact it was my Mother's request for Mabrie to handle her funeral services because she was so impressed with the services that Mabrie Mortuary did for her good friend and neighbor. Cynthia Jones handled everything professionally and compassionately. I highly recommend Mabrie Mortuary services.

The family of Elvira Foote Jones highly recommends Mabrie Memorial Mortuary for your love ones final needs. We experienced the most celebrated memory of our mother’s home going. The staff of Mabrie Memorial Mortuary showed our family compassion with professional directions during this very difficult time. Cynthia the funeral director was instrumental in contacting a funeral home in Bryan/College Station for our family to choose the perfect casket. We had to call Cynthia at 11:30 pm on the night of September 23, 2015 to let her know our mother had passed. Cynthia woke up out of her sleep and contacted a funeral home in Bryan/ College Station to pickup mom’s body and transported her to Houston. In embalming they were able to capture her smile, her hair and make-up was beautifully done, the selection of flowers and her dress captured her elegantly character. THANK YOU MABRIE MEMORIAL MORTUARY STAFF!

The tv's in the overflow room are outdated and super small. There was no volume so we had to listen from the hallway which was impossible at times with people coming and going. The restroom smelled like old wet mop. Customer service was OK could've been better with having more staff available to assist.

Mabrie Memorial Mortuary did an outstanding job for my Brother-in-Law's Father. They took care of every detail and showed much kindness to my Brother-in-Laws 90 year old bereaving mother. She expressed to me how pleased she was with the services that Mabrie's Mortuary did. The limos and the Chapel were super clean and the staff was helpful in every way. Mabrie Memorial Mortuary offers by far some of the best service I have seen in Houston. I highly recommend them.
