Rating with one star is TOO GENEROUS. Director Jones and "business" partner Womack are, in my experience, a greedy and ghoulish duo who have tarnished Dr. Mabrie's honorable vision into a house of horrors. Left my family stranded after repass by instructing limousines to drop off rather than wait and take home, leaving all outside, hot and humiliated. While viewng our loved one the day before funeral, I commented on a stunning spray of flowers next to the coffin. Jones replied, "Those aren't for you". My first thought was, so, our viewing chapel is being used for storage? Why aren't the flowers with the departed for whom they were delivered? I found out a week after the funeral that the spray was indeed delivered to our family , confirmed by the friend's floral service but proof of delivery feebly covered up by Mabrie management. Why? What did they use it for? Obituary details were wrong, nearly $100 of make-up i provided and they inventoried, was replaced by cheaper brands. I spent 3 hours with Jones, standing painfully as she corrected it. I sent many emails and made phone calls during business hours to address my concerns, only to have them returned by Womack with phone calls as late as 11pm - in the midst of mourning! Each of those disrespectful calls began with Womack telling me how busy his day was - in other words, "I'm more important than you are". And even then, his verbal and certified replies only showed how clueless, interested or uncaring he was about their policies or practices. I strongly believe that Jones' and Womack's method to respond by phone so as to leave no paper trail. I believe they count on families being too embarrassed to leave poor reviews about their experience, even though they are not at fault. I, myself was too wrapped in grief to let them drag me down. Now that some time has passed, I'd be complicit if I did not share this experience. Dr. Mabrie built this business as a sincere labor of love for his family and community. It is sad that his new business partner and worn out Director have chewed up that vision, and spit it out. It is now a sleazy, back alley operation. Beware
