Sharon and philus hillaird did a horriable job with us. I wouldnt recommend this place to any one. They where not empethictic cause they where good old buddies with the other parent in this situation. So every time we called to get information these two wouldnt give us the run around . Wouldnt let us pay for nothing and made sure to call the ovando/ duckworth family every time they got off the phone with us. We even asked to speak to the director and we where told it wouldnt be necessary. Like petty little high school girls. Because of it ovando and duckworth where verbally abusive to us and now they will not let us have any thing to do with our daughters funeral or wont give us any of the remains because we didnt do what ovando / duckworth wanted. Ovando /duckworth made sure to tell us that we had no chance because they knew the funeral home so well Ethically morally what was done by these two women is just wrong. Good old boy club in van Texas so if your not good friends with sharon and philus I wouldnt go here.

The ladies at the funeral home were absolutely awesome and very compassionate to my family. They were even able to expedite The Cremation process due to family living out of town and not being able afford to stay in town for the extra week that was told how long it would take. I would give them a hundred Stars if the option was available. They never once tried to force a sale or encourage me to buy anything extra. They were straight forward with the price of a simple cremation and death certificates. My mother died in her home and another funeral home had picked her up. Their price for simple cremation with no extras was $3,000. And Hilliard only charged $866 and that included them going to the other funeral home to pick her up, The Cremation and 6 death certificate's. I highly recommend this place.
