It was hard losing mom just before Christmas. Yet, working with experienced and reliable people made the planning of her services much less stressful. Joe Y and Joe D, are quite a team. They thought of every detail and managed them so we would not have to (arrangement of flowers, memorabilia, etc). They also managed all the logistics and staffed every stage of the events with knowledgeable and personable staff. They provided us with their personal mobile numbers and encouraged us to call with any and all concerns - we did, and they took each call. When all was said and done, we look back and have sweet memories of the services and the huge family that experienced them. Thank you for honoring my mother’s memory with your service.

I paid off my burial arrangements and waited over a month for the deed that Donna was suppose to correctly process only to call after waiting to find out the deed was processed in the wrong name... Totally unprofessional and unacceptable.

Joe is the funeral director. He was so courteous to my sister, brother and me as we planned my mom's funeral. He knew what would meet our needs, and he helped us think creatively to make Mom's visitation and funeral unique to her and personal for family and friends. I brought Joe a few samplings of things that mattered to Mom, and he created a lovely display in our visitation room. The whole space was welcoming and comfortable. Staff at CW were always kind and respectful. The funeral was at Mom's church, and Jim from CW took care of us there. He made decisions on our behalf so we could focus on greeting people and being together as a family. The others who worked with him were also kind. I cannot say thank you enough to Joe for helping us, and especially for being so creative, for listening to us and being insightful. He truly paid attention and understood our family dynamics. He and his staff made a difficult time a lovely time. Thank you.

I was amazed at the service we received at Cook Walden Pflugerville. The Director Joe stayed in contact with us constantly and made an awesome celebration for our loved one instead of a normal funeral. Susan helped us with the location of the niche and stayed in contact and offered her amazing support.

LITERALLY THE WORST CEMETERY I HAVE EVER BEEN TO!!! We got locked in there and the employees did not want to help us. Two of them ran out of the building, ran to their cars and sped away. I managed to stop one of them and she did not want to help me at all, she was so rude!!!! Mind, i waited an hour for them to get out and help me, and by then it was 9pm. They both were going to leave us stranded in a cemetery!! I swear this really happened. I wish i could rate this place a -100000. Not to mention how crooked they are with peoples money!!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!! ANYWHERE BUT HERE. YOU'LL REGRET IF YOU DON'T.

The service was by far the best experience ever! The healing was far and away greater than what I expected! I and so many other people were blown away by the service! This would not of been possible without the direction and guidance of Joseph Dilleree. Joseph is a great Funeral Director and did an incredible job in every way! Every time I tell the story of my Dad's passing to others, I tell others how healing and caring Joseph and all the staff were and have had a huge impact on the healing process that we go through. The service was staged to mimic my dad's living room and it felt as though we were sitting around telling stories in his living room. Thank you all for all that you have done! It will never be forgotten!

Horrible experience. We recently lost a loved one, and when we went in to make arrangements, we were shown a number of packages. I told them we did not need all those items. We were told that we have to have them. After all was concluded, we spent over $28,000 for a funeral. That did not include a grave. I cannot believe these people. The day after the burial, the representative came out to our home to see how we were doing. What a crock, a few minutes after arriving, she said we need to plan for arrangements for myself. Really, a day after I bury my family member, they are approaching me to plan my arrangements. What vultures!!! I would not do business with them no matter what.

Funerals are strange business and make no mistake it's all about the money at any of these places. That being said this place has helped our family many, many times in our most desperate of moments. This place is clean, the staff are friendly and parking has never been an issue for our family.

If you can prearrange your funeral I would recommend it. My wife and I were able to make choices for our service and final resting plot by doing this. We had every thing at the site for my wife's service and catered reception after. Every thing was excellent. I've been dealing with this funeral home to make a marker for my wife and its been over a year and I still haven't received a date when they are going to have it ready. They were really good about charging for all the services up front and even the marker was paid a year ago. Up to now all I have received is apologizes but no results. Wish I could rate it lower.

Very poor experience. Did not mention any of the benefits for veterans and after the fact just pointed us to the Veterans Admen Website. Did not suggest a visitation time for family and friends pry to the service. When the Service ending the director working with us got up a made a speech which was not warranted nor appreciated.

Very, very pleased with the service we received at Cook Walden Capital Park. Many, many family members commented how amazing grandma looked and that she looked just like she was sleeping. Very relaxed very normal. Several even commented that she looked better than she had in many years. She looked very sophisticated and elegant. We were comfortable enough to spend time around the coffin as a family talking to grandma and paying our last respects. Fabulous job.

My Dad passed away unexpectedly two weeks ago. He had expressed an opinion in times past that he be buried next to his brother, who resides at Cook-Walden Capital Parks. Though beyond that preference and the purchase of an appropriate plot, no other arrangements had been made. I had briefly researched what to expect on funeral costs, but it was a big shock to see how much was needed to make the funeral happen ...and needed immediately. But through the calm professionalism of Funeral Director Joseph Dilleree and Family Services Specialist Ernest Brown we walked down each line item. They gave me plenty of ways to save. But after careful thought and their detailed explanations of the options, I chose something close to the original plan. And in the end, the service (and their service) was both truly exceptional and a fantastic sendoff and salute for my Dad. Look Cook-Walden by my experience is not the cheapest option to be sure. But every dollar I spent felt lake a fantastic value after the fact based on the quality of the work they provided and the smoothness and refinement demonstrated in making it happen. That's why I'm taking the time to write this review, and why I'm later writing a personal note to the owners thanking them and noting the two above for their fine work. My best wishes to anyone that reads this that the services for your loved one goes as well as the one did for my Dad. -Z

I would like to express our gratitude to Cook-Walden/ Capital Parks Funeral home for their outstanding support during our most difficult time. From the first time phone call to the Funeral director coordination our situation was handled with nothing but top professionalism and service. The uncertainty of calling different organizations for updates and internal process and procedures were all handled through our Funeral Director and Cook-Walden to alleviate me or anyone in my family having to chase any organization down for answers or updates. Cook-Walden and our Funeral Director, Angela, went well above and beyond to ease as much questions, suffering and pain we have experience during this time. All our request were met with excellent timing and as committed (and beyond) to help us understand and be prepared. No doubt this is an excellent , well organized, sympathetic and extremely supportive organization. The Facilities were amazing and the "personable" touches made by the staff made from the first viewing to the service as comfortable as possible for our family. The extra support channels offered and the additional support during the service (I.e. the Air Force TAPPS procession) were extremely appreciated and well above our expectations. Overall, the Cook-Walden Funeral home, and of course superstar Angela, were extraordinary in providing our family with as much comfort as possible during our hardest times.
