To date, I have not received my daughter's death certificates. She passed at the beginning of April. We didn't get her remains until the day before mother's day, and even then we were asked to pick them up in the middle of someone's grandmother's wake. When I asked the assistant who was there, she said it would take time. And if I wanted it faster I could do it myself. When I spoke with Pam asking about why her remains were not in the $200 urn that we sent to the funeral home, she said they didn't know how to open it. We told her before we purchased it and was told they've done that kind numerous times. She also found my frustration funny when asked why it took a month and no phone calls from her about the status of picking up her remains. She just kinda laughed and gave (essentially) a "things happen" kind of laugh. When asked if our memorial jewelry was even filled, she said yes. But of course we can't open it to check for ourselves, because she kept what we we needed to fill the jewelry ourselves if it indeed wasn't done. I don't believe it was done because of the urn issue. I wanted to wait to leave a bad review until we at least got our death certificates, basically everything we paid for, but it seems like this will never happen. Quick to take the money, slow to provide the service. Cremations done on site shouldn't take over a month. But what do I know? Feel like we got ripped off in a very troubling time for us. I pray to never need another funeral home anytime soon. But, I definitely won't be coming back here for anything. And, I won't recommend others to come either.

My family member was buried over a month ago & my family is still wrestling with what appears to be malicious monetary practices on the part of Allen Dave Funeral Home. I would like to hope that there is a simple miscommunication amongst all parties & this can be resolved so that we can continue to support our brothers & sisters in business AND so that my family can grieve the loss of our loved one. At this time I would not recommend Allen Dave Funeral Home.

It is an awful thing when the funeral home directors WILL add deceit with malicious intent to a grieving family. When you have been chosen and trusted at such a vulnerable point to be anything less than completely transparent is UNACCEPTABLE. Allen Dave Funeral Home poured more pain into the hearts of my grieving family. BEWARE of Allen Dave Funeral Home represent betrayal with absolutely no loyalty or honesty in their words. Dave Allen Funeral Home should be banned from providing this service. It is a HONOR Allen Dave Funeral cannot be trusted to handle. The service received with Allen Dave Funeral reminded me of Judas Iscariot. Pretending to be trustworthy but not.

They gave my mom a BEAUTIFUL! homecoming service that I will forever be thankful for. The amount of frustration that I have at this point is beyond a 1 star review. My family used your services to bury my aunt. As our family starts the healing process we come to find the fraudulent activities that have taken place with her arrangements and arrangements that were made with future plots. No good will ever come to you and your business. I hate to have to give such a negative review to an African American business when the cards are already stacked against us as a whole. Put I wouldn't be able to function properly knowing your are probably in the acts of "handling the arrangements" to another undeserving family! This doesn't stop with Facebook. It's only the starting point!

Nothing can take away the pain of losing a loved one. But, when I tell you I'm truly in awe of the compassion and generosity that was given to me and my family during a difficult time, it's an understatement. Rashad and his team provided the utmost care, patience, sympathy, love, professionalism and attention to detail when my grandmother passed away. They were there from the beginning and followed through all the way until the end. Handling a visitation in Houston, personally driving her to Tennessee for another visitation and her funeral services and to her final resting place. We called Allen Dave Funeral 12/26/18 after my grandfather, Vernon Patrick transition to be with the Lord. Mr. Rashad Cleveland met us at the hospital to pick up my grandfather, he was extremely comforting and professional. We truly felt that our loved one were in good hands! We later met more staff including Mr.Allen Dave who was very warm, welcoming, knowledgeable and professional, and also Mr. Anthony who was extremely funny and made us feel right at home. On 1/4/2019 Mr. Derrick picked the family up, he was very encouraging, patient and met all of our needs. Thanks to everyone. Allen Dave funeral home is amazing, it felt like being with family. They were so comforting during the untimely death of my Aunt. They are super professional and really know their product. We got a chance to meet Mr. Dave on a couple of occasion and he treated us so well. Working with Rashad the Director was awesome he is so gifted at what he does.
