Omg! The director was nice and professional! However the service wasn’t so great. So we in to view the body an hour before the wake. I didn’t recognize my grandmother at all!!! So much makeup and the makeup was way too dark. She was light skinned and had a narrow face when she was alive. They had her way too dark with a fat wide face.. On top of that her casket had blood inside as if she was still bleeding!! The director said it was from the amount of fluid she had when she died. Not true. But okay. That being said why didn’t u clean it up.. the inside cover of the casket looked dirty like it had been previously used. So the day of the funeral they cover my grandmother’s hands with yellow dollar general plastic bags. I guess so u wouldn’t see the blood. And put her hands under her side. The funeral car was old raggedy and coming apart. It had been recked from the back and the passenger’s door handle had fallen off.. I wouldn’t recommend this funeral home to anyone!!!! Needs more work!!! And experienced morticians!!!!

There probably isn't anymore difficult times than when you loose a loved one. I wanted to express our family deepest gratitude and appreciation to Superior Funeral Home "John Love and team". They have been very kind and understanding. thank you again John Buck

After My Mom passed away, I called a few funeral homes in Memphis. It was appalling as far as the high prices received for a simple direct burial (no embalming, transportation, & a casket basically). I was beginning to lose hope. I called Superior, as again, I was calling around for prices. We chose to go with Superior because they were affordable. And today I would recommend them. Because the gentleman who handled everything at Superior Funeral Home for us, was always available by phone, & he was professional. This Gentleman was also a Reverend (preacher); he is the one I paid the bill to, (& he drove my Mom in the funeral vehicle (hears), however he also led the graveside service for us (in which I did provide a thank you tip). But I just want to say thank you to Rev. Cochran & to Superior, because the casket was beautiful, and it was the only funeral home that was affordable. I am very very grateful I made the call to this funeral home, especially after the first ones I called seemed ridiculous. price-wise.
