Very good experience. Tim Raley was the only person to call me back out of half a dozen web sites I inquired to about cremation. They were the lowest cost of three I spoke to. And Tim was extremely nice and very starightforward. He made a painful process much easier.

I'm a widow of three weeks. My sweetheart was a no nonsense kind of guy. If you were giving away free samples he was in line. He appreciated good service and a quality job, but he suffered no fools. He gave and expected honest, straightforward service and care. The day after he passed my daughters and I met with a funeral home that was local to us. We were quoted $3500.00 for cremation and six certified copies of the death certificate. We decided then to go a different route as my hubby would have done. We desired NO service, NO urn, NO frills as one of our children was out of the country in school and couldn't be home and services needed to be postponed. Music City Mortuary is the Crematory that several funeral homes use. It turns out the 'local' funeral home did. Music City did the VERY SAME job, with less of the 'fake' funeral home 'atmosphere' for under $1000.00. YES a 2500.00 savings over fancy gray suits, perpetual flame lanterns, and turquoise stone watchbands. Thank You Music City for taking care of our family with out taking advantage of our grieving. Absolutely awful experience with this facility after the loss of my father. If you care about your loved one, THINK TWICE before using this crematory. My fathers' cremation was delayed (they allegedly had a machine down and were backed up), should have mentioned that when we called and paid in full up front. The delay in cremation caused the re-scheduling of my dads' services which were taking place out of state, major inconvenience for family & friends. Then, the $75.00 patriotic urn that was to be included was conveniently out of stock, therefore, I had to find a suitable urn elsewhere at the last minute. When I arrived at the facility, I felt physically ill - there is a large warehouse type building with garage doors, which were opened several feet from the ground, exposing the gurney wheels and incinerators inside. My immediate thought was of a fly by night, shady turn em & burn em organization. No dignity for the dead nor dignity for the family, NONE!! As I sat down with "Allie" in the office, I realized the add'l death certificates, which were also previously paid for in full, were not provided. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Is this even my father in this box? Needless to say, I expressed my utter disgust to "Allie", and all she could eek out was "sorry". No replacement was offered on the out of stock urn, nor any reimbursement given. My sister wanted a keepsake urn, a $30 item, and they had the nerve to charge me for that. Terrible way to do business, terrible. I couldn't wait to get out of there and I will NEVER use them again nor refer anyone to them. Might be cheap but you get what you pay for, or not. FAIR WARNING

My father passed away yesterday and was a very no nonsense no fluff kind of person. When my mother told me that the local funeral home she'd called charged in the ballpark of $3500 for the most basic cremation I was concerned. We decided to go a different route and we are so very glad we did. Shawn was very nice and answered all our questions and we didn't feel like we were being pushed to spend more money on something my dad would not have wanted. I would recommend this for anyone not wanting to have the full funeral service. We are having to wait for family to have any services and they have definitely exceeded our expectations so far.

My father passed away unexpectedly last month and it was very difficult for us. We didn’t have a plan but we knew our father wanted to be buried in Birmingham. Music City Mortuary was suggested to us by our good friends and we were taken great care of! We met with Buddy, who made things simple for us and he also prayed with us. This is such a difficult time in a family’s life, these guys will take great care of you and your loved one. They also will offer you very reasonable pricing. The compassionate service given by the staff of Music City Mortuary helped ease the stress that goes along with losing a loved one. Their cremation services were exceptional. This was the first time I had to deal with the cremation process. Everything was explained to me in a manner that reflected the respect they had for our family and for the deceased. They treated our family as if we were their family.
