his preneed license with the state consumer affairs department is expired and not supposed to sell preneed funeral services, his cemetery permit is expired, and if he notarizes anything for you, he probably isn't a notary any more. He'll promise you the world but won't carry through with it then blame it on everyone else. He'll show you caskets in his selection room made by a reputable company but sell you cheap Chinese caskets that might be somewhat similar, or he might reuse a casket he already put someone in. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else, Wayne Brown doesn't need to be handling your loved ones. If you want to see if he is really a notary as a more recent review says, I invite you to search the south Carolina secretary of state website, they regulate notary public services. He's not listed in Spartanburg county. Beware of canned spam reviews

Forest Hills has the best prices in the Upstate! Wayne Brown, the owner, goes out of his way to ensure the families are well taken care of. He is a notary public with the State of South Carolina and never charges with his commission expiring in June, 2025. He sells quality merchandise at the best prices. Do your self a favor and check them out.

Wonderful people and very clean . We held my cousin’s funeral here about a year ago and the staff was very polite and friendly. The place looked very clean and neat.

#1 my sons nostrils looked like something was hanging out of them. #2 his left ear had something hanging out of it. #3 my sons belongings were lost, he eyeglasses left the morgue with him. I was given another persons belongings. Wayne told me his mother that belongings were not sent with his body, his eyeglasses were not sent on his face during transport. He blamed it on morgue. At first when I asked for my sons belongings he said they were not sent. Then miraculously he said they found them in back- that would be clothing that belonged to someone else. #4 was overcharged and that was 3 months ago. #5 his last lie was checks in the mail. Still waiting on that check I am. He will never handle another death in my family...
