I recently planned my father's funeral, as my father was terminally ill had the opportunity to pre plan and check with multiple funeral homes for pricing. When I called Rushlow-Iacoi, I had the good fortune, to talk to David, he was honest, straight forward and when I expressed to him what I had in mind he gave me the price, there was no upsell pressure etc.. David also suggested ordering multiple death certificates as some companies and agencies will only take originals versus photo copy so far I've needed 5 out of the 10 I ordered. This saves time because in Rhode Island deaths are recorded in the town they happen and that can be very inconvenient if you work long hours etc.. I knew that my father wanted to be cremated and having never planned a funeral I decided to phone multiple (3) funeral homes to price "direct cremation" this is when your loved one passes away and they are cremated. Three months later when my father died at the assisted living, it went exactly as David told me it would the undertakers collected my father and then he was cremated as planned. I received his cremains 6 days later. Rushlow Iaccoi provided top notch service at the best list price which was significantly lower than the either of the other places I called. When I told one of the other facilities that I was quoted a lower price, they then said they could match any facilities price. I know it may seem morbid even if your loved one is terminally to plan ahead, however it saved my family a lot of money. Rushlow Iaccoi will be the only place I call in the future.

This place is terrible. They held onto the body of my father in law and refused to get us a certificate of death so we could at least try to get some money so we could bury him. They wouldn't embalm or do anything with the body until we paid them first. Effectively, they held our loved one hostage. Terrible place. We went to a different funeral home (Gaffney-Dolan) who treated us with far (far!) more respect and helped us through a difficult time. They were also willing to work with us unlike Rushlow. Rushlow was really awful and I cannot recommend them. If there were less stars I could give, I would....
