This funeral home handled the arrangements after my grandmother's death. Without going into detail, they made serious errors on the obituary. It caused problems with the family. Also, the boss gave me a bad attitude when I mentioned it to him. I would certainly not recommend this place.

Great service and staff; best in the state! Regarding someone else's comment about an error in an obituary, I can tell you I have been to several funeral homes over the years handling some form of the arrangement. The individual submitting the obituary to the funeral home is the individual ultimately responsible for ensuring the correctness in that obituary before it goes to the director. They are a funeral home; not your personal editor. I want to be sympathetic to your issue but if there are errors in the obituary, that is your responsibility to recognize and resolve. Blaming the Funeral Home for that is reckless and unfair.

With the passing of our son we had to made a decision of the greatest heartbreak...where to have our son's funeral. We choose Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home mainly because it's family owned and not corporate. Never, ever having to deal with arrangements for a funeral, we came into contact with kind, compassionate, sincere people...Peter, Daniel & their staff. An expression of how we were treated is in the eloquent words my husband expressed to Peter Barrett. He said "For a brief moment you became part of our family". This family owned business is certainly family oriented.

Worst funeral home I have EVER been to. The owner, Peter Cotter, was so disrespectful and showed absolutely NO compassion. I will never go there again and I do not recommend going there. Quinn funeral home is the place to go.
