Would have given five stars, but could not. Was considering prepaying my husband and my funerals with Winfield, after my mom’s funeral in 2014, but will never use them. Reason being, at my mom’s calling hours, Charlene Winfield spoke and called my mom by a different name! She contacted me and gave me an excuse, that I know was not true. And, the one thing that happened to make my mind up is Tom Winfield. He is the most rude, uncaring person. I realized when we were leaving the Chapel at my mom’s burial, I noticed he was getting into one of the funeral home’s vehicles. Not once did he come to my family and give his condolences. Not at the calling hours and not at the Chapel. NOTHING! My first experience with him was the day I had an appointment, a year or so before to prepay my mom’s funeral. He answered the door with an attitude and demeanor that was offputting. He never introduced himself and if I had known he was the owner, I should have told him I was taking my business elsewhere and left. My fault for not doing so. The only thing that would warrant five stars is my mom looked beautiful. She had been so ill that this made me feel relieved. The arrangements that they handled, flowers, notice, etc. were also spot on. But, when you have one owner make a major mistake, referring to the deceased, and the other owner having no compassion and being rude, it reinforces I would never use them again.
