My father just recently passed unexpectedly. Being a only child, everything fell on me to set up. My mother was to saddened to help with any of the funeral arrangements. Needless to say, the stress and sadness of losing my dad was enough. I decided to have Matthews handle my dads cremation and memorial. I can’t say enough for how they helped me and how compassionate they were. They handled everything beautifully. Including me handing off dealing with the insurance company. My head was not in the right place to speak to anyone, especially adjusters and what not. I’m forever grateful to the staff there. Michael was very helpful and a pleasure to work with. They made what could’ve been a stressful experience, a peaceful time for me and my husband. Thank you.

In a time of grief it was very refreshing to have Chris from Matthew Funeral Home handling my mother's arrangements. I cannot say how down to earth and genuine he is. It was like visiting with an old friend. He was not trying to "upsell" and understood our wishes from beginning to end. This is an amazing place that honors your beloved with true respect. I am a southern boy from New Orleans and my father-in-law passed away at 92. He was a retired FDNY Captain. The professionalism of the establishment and personnel is like no other. The personal touches such as: such as stopping at his house on the way to the cemetery, the funeral director getting out of his car, saying a prayer then placing a single rose on the door step. The amazing gentlemen in long black coats who carried him in his casket, on their shoulders, is something I had never seen before. The way they placed the cars in line for you for the procession really stood out. I cannot recommend this establishment enough, truly a class act. Having someone available 24 hrs a day, they were able to retrieve his remains from the nursing home where he passed. Early the next morning, we met with Michael to make the appropriate arrangements.
