My husband had specific instructions on what he wanted: a simple cremation, no wake, no funeral, no burial. To say I was worried about how this would be received is an understatement: I’ve heard horror stories about the “soft sell hard sell” to which some funeral directors can subject grieving families. (In fact, I had to deal with it years ago when a family member passed.). Nothing like that happened when I met Mr. Clavin: what a good guy! He was sympathetic without a hint of insincere smarminess, he listened to and accepted what we wanted (without ever once suggesting something more expensive), and explained what would happen, and when, very carefully. And despite the fact that what I wanted done was not making him a lot of money, he didn’t rush me through; I’m sure he treated me with same level of respect as he would have if I were paying ten times as much. When my nephew and I left his office, I felt as though a ten-ton weight had been lifted off my shoulders. Thank you, Mr. Clavin — you’re a gem.

Just want to pass on my condolences to frank pontone who passed away on February 4th, 2016. Frank's wake was here and the services were done well and respectful. May god bless you frank and may peace follow you and your family.
