This home made a difficult situation even worse. My son passed away in NY; I live in Texas. I started making arrangements from my home after Richard at Farenga convinced me it would be the best place for my son. We agreed he would take care of my son, order prayer cards and identify possible locations to scatter his ashes. We agreed to meet in person the following Monday before my son's funeral on Tuesday. On Monday Richard was not there and no more be knew why I was there. Eventually Tom found my file. Nothing Richard promised had been done. Tom said he would take care of it and have everything ready when I arrived about an hour before my son's visitation the following day. Arrived on Tuesday - no Tom, no Richard. A third person found the file, collected payment and made the prayer cards in house since neither of the previous two had prepared them. That was two weeks ago. To date no one has offered an explanation or an apology for not completing what they promise send or for being such unavailable for meetings they scheduled. I hope no one else ever has to deal with these unprofessional and insensitive people.

We just had my father's funeral here and we could not have been more pleased with the services provided. Gus (the owner) saw to every detail, the space is warm and tasteful, and the procession/service all went very well.

Every member of the team went above and beyond to make us comfortable and greatly exceeded our expectations. Every detail was meticulously handled. These days it’s difficult to find the exemplary personal customer service that we received at Farenga Funeral Home. Always a pleasure working with a family-owned and operated local business. The Funeral Home inside and out is immaculate and very comfortable. Having a parking lot is extremely convenient as well. In the future, our family would have no hesitation calling on Farenga Funeral Home again should the need arise.

Great experience at this funeral home. Excellent directors and staff, take care of all details. My father past in the hospital, he looked rough. My mother wanted open viewing, they exceeded our expectations. He looked amazing. The family was extremely happy with their service.

My family recently buried my grandfather at Farenga Funeral Home and the experience was completely above and beyond. Gus Antonopoulos and all the stuff take such pride in their work and it shows very clearly through the quality and professionalism of their services. Everything from the arrangements, to the wake, to the funeral and burial was flawless and handled with such dignity, elegance, and class. My grandfather would have been very proud. Gus and Tommy Antonopoulous have gone above and beyond for me in planning the funeral service(s) for my Mother Helen Doughty Curran . They are truly professionals and I could not have asked for better service. Their genuine care and concern cannot be expressed in words Please note that the service provided to me at the Farenga Funeral Home - Astoria New York far surpassed that , that was rendered by Frank Campbell in New York City, when I assisted my Mother in a memorial service for one of her former employers, a New York City socialite. They can only be described as the best of the best. Farenga funeral home and its' staff provide dignified , respectful, service I highly recommend them and believe them to be the best funeral home in Queens County. It is family owned and operated which I think makes all the difference. The Antonopoulous family is extraordinary. The staff at Farenga does their best to communicate, and collaborate in an effort to assist those suffering the loss of a loved one. I highly recommend Farenga Funeral Home

We just recently buried my mother and I have to say that Gus went above and beyond to accommodate my family. My mother looked absolutely beautiful in her coffin and the attention to detail was just amazing. It brought me so much comfort. They even went so far as to play my mother's favorite music!
