Writing a rave review about a funeral home is a touchy proposition given how sensitive and raw everybody's feelings in nerves are but it's for that very reason that I can say without hesitation as a 66 year old senior nursing executive who has had dealings throughout my career with many many hospitals and many many funeral homes I have never in my life experienced the quality of service and the kindness and the attentiveness to detail that I experienced at Cusimano as we buried my sainted mother in law the staff is beyond impeccable in terms of their professionalism as well as their kindness and compassion Mike is the gentleman that we dealt with as the front office person and he made everything so easy at the most difficult time of one's life and I do know from my sister-in-law's experience with a tragic loss that she had just a year prior that she had exactly the same experience with Mike specifically and with Cusimano in general which is what made her not hesitate to suggest that Mom be buried with help of Christian mono Funeral Home Mary in the office is another one that absolutely made us smile at a time when smiling is difficult at the very best of times and John - -,,rounded out the trio of excellence in care and service and compassion. So, at risk of repeating myself, I kiddingly said that this is a place that makes you want to leave the world early just to experience the the kind of service and quality and friendliness that this Funeral Home exuded in its every interaction.. Also, as far as the financial situacion is concerned, I'm n), ot one who fortunately has had many losses to compare cost to, but the total cost of the full embalming (open casket, and Mom looked Exquisite and at peace in a way that embraced everyone with her presence reminding everyone of what her best days look like which was an incredibly comforting gift that my experience has been is not a given in other funeral homes), and total burial cost seemed very reasonable to me. So, bottom line, and I couldn't be more grateful on behalf of the family for all of the wonderful work that Mike and team did on our behalf. THANK YOU - - You are all truly doing God's work. The compassion and support you and your staff displayed made us feel safe and secure during these tough times. I was blessed to of had the opportunity of meeting Michael Rizzotto, Manager at Cusimano & Russo Funeral Home in Brooklyn, NY 11223. I cannot say enough how appreciative I am of all Michael did to assist and help me with the wake/funeral/mass/flowers/food/gifts/paperwork/even coffee, etc. Michael, you made this sad painful experience peaceful and comforting. You helped me handle this very hard and difficult task. You really helped and made all my decisions/details for the wake easier; you had everything there for me to pick and decide from…thank you! Michael initially made himself available about 3am, minutes after my call about my father’s passing, and was always a text message away. He was so responsive, kind, considerate, compassionate, understanding and went above and beyond to satisfy my every request. Thank you for LMK about the catering room on the premises; it worked and made it easier as well. It gave my little guy the time he needed alone w/ nonno, while we were downstairs in the catering room and he sat alone w/ my dad upstairs. Robyn, thank you for helping w/ the catering room set-up and clean-up and coffee prep. Mostly, Robyn, thank you for helping my boys through the wake and caring enough to reach out and help them with your suggestions that first evening in writing letters to nonno. It was a great idea. Thank you for keeping an eye out during my little guy’s alone time while we were downstairs in the catering room in between viewings. That was so very sweet and kind of you; Thank you Robyn! Mary, thank you as well for always being so pleasant and kind. It was nice talking to you and meeting you as well. THANK YOU, Michael, Robyn and Mary, and everyone I don’t know by name for all you did during my dad’s wake. Michael, I cannot forget what you also did, when we all had to leave greenwood and you stayed behind, you don’t know what that meant to me and my sister…pictures are truly worth a thousand words and this one was really needed! Thank you for staying and giving us the reassurance, we needed as well. Michael and staff were responsive, kind, considerate, compassionate, understanding, and sincere always; thank you again Michael, Mary and Robyn, Tiana Juliano.

My sisters and I were so blessed by the superb professional and personal care that John, Michael, Mary, Desiree, and Robyn showed to our family during our precious mother, Rosalie's wake/Homegoing. Even other members of our family remarked how Cusimano & Russo Funeral Home was "top notch" for the two days our mom was there. All of you accommodated us in so many ways. Even the limo/hearse/flower car drivers were kind and sympathetic. You all contributed greatly in making this sad experience peaceful and comforting. We also had the same experience when our dad was at Cusimano four years ago. I highly recommend Cusimano & Russo Funeral Home and their caring, kind and competent staff. John & Michael helped me twice through very difficult times in my life when my mother passed away in March 2012 and recently when my father passed away in May 2019. John and Michael and their staff are caring, compassionate and very supportive. John and Michael treats everyone like family and that means a lot to me. We met with John La Greca, the Funeral Director just after leaving the hospital where Leonard passed away. Nothing was awkward or uncomfortable even though we were grief stricken. He made all the arrangements with us easy and calming. For this we will always be grateful. Michael Rizzotto the General Manager Orchestrated the viewing on Friday (Leonard looked just like he was peacefully sleeping.) and the Mass and Burial on Saturday. Michael personally guided everything . We had no concerns other then our loss. The staff, seen and unseen did a wonderful job getting everyone through this time of our loss.
