Steve is a charismatic and personable funeral director. His guidance truly helped us make the most appropriate decisions and funeral arrangements for my wife. He personally came out to our home in the middle of the night that she passed. The Spotswood funeral home is outfitted in nice serene tone. Everything was handled professionally and with class. Costs were explained and fair. My wife is in peace now and so am I knowing she was looking down from up above as her "final chapter" was handled with such grace, elegance and respect.

When a daughter has to bury her Mother it brings such great sadness upon her where "thinking" even how to begin the process is just so difficult! So when my friend Dawn Matthews referred me to Steve the Funeral Director at Spotswood Funeral Home I could not have been more pleased with his compassion and tenderness towards the deceased and all of our family members. He truly is an upmost outstanding individual. He takes care of everything from start to finish and makes certain everything goes perfect!! He has a wonderful assistant Lisa Sharp who assists him along with a lovely, kind & polite young lady Sabrina Leff who pleasantly greets family & friends at the door and attends to their needs. I could not have been more pleased with how everything turned out considering the circumstances!

Unbelievable service. Extremely personable. We looked at five other funeral homes, this was the best price with the best service! From the time you walk in, Sabrina Leff is the to greet you with a smile at the door. All through the service Steve is there to make sure everything is perfect. The lady who took care of our loved one, Lisa Sharp, did an amazing job!

a year earlier when my father was placed on hospice. He luckily survived a year longer than expected, so we had time to determined what we wanted to do. When they came to pick up the body, they had no problem waiting until we could take my mother somewhere else, even though it took a little time. They were patient and respectful throughout. As others have stated, they wanted to provide exactly what we wanted with no attempt at upselling at any time. I chose to obtain the casket from an online dealer which they had no problem with, even on a Saturday delivery. They called me immediately upon it's arrival so that I could inspect it. They verified that it looked of good quality as they had received both good and bad caskets from online sellers. They also allowed me to come on another day to inspect it with my sister just to make sure it was suitable for the funeral. They handled placing the obituaries in the paper we selected, arranging pick up of the body, services at the veterans cemetery with military honors, and acquicision of death certificates with no surprises or unexpected expenses.Their handling of our needs from first contact to interment were impeccable. I would have no hesitation using them or referring a close friend when the time comes.
