She advised me how long the process would take and after each section was completed she allowed me time to grieve and compose myself. She was kind and caring. I went to the Grand Opening yesterday, it has been remodeled and the place looks FABULOUS!! The staff makes you feel so welcome. I met Mr & Mrs Arnold and they're so nice , believe me your family will be laid to rest beautifully as if they were apart of their own family.

The staff was kind except for this new boss, I’m not sure what her name is. The day of the funeral the grieving mother of 31 year old deceased son rushed to his coffin but was stopped by this “New boss” and was told that she needs to walk in at the same time with her husband! After everyone left the immediate family had a few minutes with John. The man that was assisting us was very helpful and tried his best to accommodate the flowers and wreaths for the cemetery the next day. The new boss comes in and made us feel rushed and said we can only take 2 wreaths and that her staff will not hold any other flowers nor distribute them on the day of the cemetery. The man apologized for inconvenience after she left the room. We met at the funeral the next day everyone had to arrive there by 10:15 AM. I looked for John in the funeral home but he was already in the hearse

My family and myself could not have had such a wounderful place during such a hard time. There was such a level of respect and professionalism. Very kind and helpful during the whole progress. I called at 3 in the morning and was able to speak to someone right away. They gave my family and myself the support needed to get through this hard time. I was able to call for anything and they found answers. I can not say any more than that I am so very thankful.

Although I am happy to support black owned businesses and do appreciate the work that was presented at Scillieri-Arnold Funeral Home, my family and I were not pleased at the level of customer service demonstrated from the director of this facility. Having to experience the death of a loved one is hard enough without being bombarded with tasks/deadlines to complete. Our family wanted to display a slideshow of photos on their tv monitors at the funeral service, but since we were unable to provide them with the USB’s 4 days prior to the funeral service they were unable to grant the request, stating “we like to be prepared...” This is understandable, however, it wasn’t going to be that difficult to plug a USB into a TV and allow the slideshow to run. This was demonstrated quite easily at the restaurant where we held the repass. We were glad to just be there for one another as a family, it just would have been nice to be better accommodated and respected as we were offering our business to the establishment.

If you would like to have a service at the place were they do not provide you with an urn or casket as promised!!! Well then this is the place for you! They DID NOTHING they promised! They completely RUINED MY FATHER’S SERVICE to say the least. I broke down in tears due to how my wishes were disregarded and how my father was not honored with respect as I intended. I was spoken to like a child who does not possess a doctorate degree! I ordered my father’s urn 7 days before the service and was told at the start of the service that his urn did not come in and they were not going to provide one because I did not order the correct flowers. I was blamed for not ordering the correct flowers, when I used their florist (who was great)! Apparently their are bylaws for having flowers with an urn in order for them to place one out during your service. They are REFUSING to refund me for an urn that was not there for the service and it was ordered 7 days in advance. I no longer need the urn, the service has come and gone! This is VERY BAD customer service. I will happily spread the word that this place is by far the worse in Paterson!! BEWARE for you were warned!!
