I shipped my mother's body from Florida to NJ and they never told me I had to have approval of my siblings. My mother had a written directive to be cremated. I ordered the funeral and paid for it myself, then my younger sibling brother contacted Wendy and said he wanted to see the will or he would not allow my mother to be cremated. He told her that I was not the executor and that my mother was secretly married to another man - all lies. Wendy met with my brother behind my back, never told me about it, and then called me and threatened to stop the funeral unless I produced a will. I knew my younger brother would be jealous over anything my mom gave me and so I was not going to release the will until after the funeral. Wendy demanded the will. Then my brother did not sign anyway. Wendy left my mother to rot in the funeral home, without refrigeration. She refused to release my mom's body to me. I offered to pay to ship my mom back to Florida but she said she did not know how to do that. Then she sued me for costs and $10,000 in legal fees because she said the smell from my mother's body was ruining her business. Wendy Gardner and her husband Tom, lied to me from the very beginning. They did not prepare contracts, they told me to ship my mom to NJ and once my mom was in NJ, me, the caregiver and the oldest daughter, and executor of her will was denied the ability to give my mother a decent funeral. It was a debacle. I paid $5,000 for a botched funeral.

The recent holiday remembrance service was such a great idea, and again Wendy's staff had a well organized, beautiful and well thought out event, that was very touching and ment so much to the families. It was a beautiful venue, that was beautifully decorated, with beautiful music, nice program and a thoughtful momento to take home. The professionalism of this funeral home is much needed as I have seen many who leave a lot to be desired. My family and I have unfortunately done a good bit of business here in the past 9 months. Three funerals in under a year is hard on anyone, but Gardner has made it as easy as they could for us. Nick has handled all three of the funerals for my grandmother, my father and my aunt and he has been an absolute gem. Kind, warm and patient, the offer was even made to my mother to bring my father's ashes back and they would help her put some in her locket. In the unfortunate circumstance of having a loved one pass, I would absolutely recommend this funeral home. They're truly second to none.

I have no words to express how amazing Zack and Emily where to myself and my family. We met Zack last year when my father decided to plan his own funeral. When my father passed on July 28th all that we had to do was give them a call and they literally took care of everything. With the illness my father had in the end he honestly did not look like himself but Zack did such an amazing job that when we went to view my father I will be honest we where a little scared about what we would see. To our amazement our father looked as if he was sleeping peacefully and looked amazing nothing like he did when he passed. So would I recommend Gardners absolutely 1000 percent if you want a wonderful experience at a very difficult time. My father's arrangements are very detailed and precise and Zack never skipped a beat with helping in sending my father to Portugal to be laid to rest as he requested. So to Zack,Emily and Gardners staff we cant say thank you enough for the kind,compassion and professionalism you have shown us. You guys are truly top notch at what you do.
