Unfortunately we had to search for a funeral home recently. Luckily we found McDermotts and the customer service here was outstanding. Having staff that understand what families are going through during hard times and making this process as smooth as possible was very satisfying. Highly recommend this location.

I was really happy with the service these gentlemen provided to my family. Kevin even went above and beyond. He delievered the remains to us when we were unable to get there due to a broken down vehicle. What a class act. It's worth noting when I checked around these guys were also a lot cheaper than other places in town. Thank you again.

4Stars for Chris!!! hes an awesome guy...i recommend him anyday...but for his bro...unfortunately wth all due respects... he was a Letdown!.so less one star for the home. .. his Tone is rough n harsh...we know hes busy cremating but for christ sake...improve on yur customer service pls. i know what yu go thru with dead bodies...but be nice to the living sad mourning families. soften your voice.

By far one of the best and well ran places in town. Mcdermott's was very helpful and caring when we lost our family member. They showed true compassion for what they do. When my mom passed away, I found McDermott Funeral and Cremation and Chris was so full of compassion and made the arrangements for her cremation as easy as he could and was not charging what Palm would charge. I do not live in Las Vegas and was only out for her funeral. Then when my dad passed away about 15 months later, he handled everything for my dad's cremation as well and made everything as smooth as possible while showing love and compassion. Dealing with losing a loved one is very difficult in itself and you should not have to then deal paying a fortune or looking at various other arrangements and choices. It can be overwhelming and Chris made it very simple.

Amazing service. Chris and his brother (and all the other staff) we dealt with were amazing. They provided the courtesy and care when it came to cremation and viewing services. They even made arrangements for a catholic blessing at our request. I am extremely grateful how they went above and beyond to meet our needs and being upfront and very budget friendly. Please don’t let the location get you down - they make up for it in service and treat you like family (not just a customer) and explain everything!!! They do everything for a huge fraction of the price over other competitors. Thank you for everything you guys do!!! I am very appreciative during our family loss the way you treated me and my family. My father passed away last night and I was going to wait to see how my family's service was going to be but I just couldn't wait to express my feelings and doubts about this company, seeing how my mother and I were treated last night at the hospital whilst waiting for them to pick up my father's body. I truly felt like the man that picked him up I think he said his name was Fred not entirely sure, couldn't understand him, (introduced himself vaguely not welcoming at all) although he works for a funeral service and dealing with death to day-to-day basis or whatnot does NOT excuse his attitude towards a loss of a LOVED one for his rude behavior and at one moment he totally "sighed" in complete disgust of impatience when we corrected a few minor errors from the hospital of his wife's name and old number they had listed on documents. STILL. NO EXCUSE for that type of treatment when dealing with such tragic sadness. It was horrible. I couldn't fathom the situation I just told him my father had been there before at the hospital that's why they had old information, he just said "oh" looked away but no apology nor nothing of the comfort to ones piece of mind. Alas, I will most definitely keep in mind for my father's service to be peaceful and forthcoming to our family. I truly hope they can deliver with better care.

Chris was great and very helpful and empathetic. Unfortunately he went on vacation and we’ve had to deal with Fred. Fred is rude and not empathetic at all. My Dad died Nov 21st and it is now 12/15 and we have not received the death certificate yet. Before Chris went on vactation my daughter has spoken with him and asked him to please call us when the death certificate was ready and that we would personally pick it up since my Mother would no longer be at the original address. Chris was professional, agreed, and said that he would. On the 11th my daughter called McDermott’s to follow up and Fred was rude to her and said that it had been mailed. On the 13th I called and spoke with Fred and he said he would check on it the next day and call me back. I called today, the 15th and he said that it was mailed the 12th then he changed the date and said it was mailed the 8th. He was rude and uncaring. I’m giving them 3 stars because Chris was professional and efficient. Unfortunately his relief staff, Fred, was unprofessional, rude, inefficient, and uncaring during such a sad and stressful time. Now we have to wait for my Mother to be able to get survivor benefits from Social Security Administration since they need Dad’s death certificate.

Sadly, my mother passed away in October. I had to look for a reasonably priced cremation and funeral service, and I found this family business. The owner and his brother Fred were very helpful and were very nice people. They got back to my messages fairly quick and were attentive. I really liked that Fred came to my house so I could sign all the documents; that was really convenient and showed that they care about the comfort of families. The only thing I would suggest improvement on is being more organized. When I ordered the death certificates, I ordered 10, but when they arrived, I only received 3. However, they immediately corrected that problem so I can't complain too much. Overall, I would highly recommend Mcdermott.

Very pleased with the level of care and patience I received from Chris and he took his time with my concerns and questions when picking a casket he was also honest. I appreciate him working with my family to get my grandmother buried. He worked with me to get her body shipped out which took much longer than I expected because of money problems you see and most places don’t do that and there was no charge for holding the remains. If I could rate 10 stars I would. Thank you for everything McDermott family

My father just recently passed away and all I can say is McDermott treated him with the respect he deserved. Because this was a sudden passing, it was such a relief to have Chris come to her home and go over everything with her including filling out all the paperwork and making sure we had everything we needed for anything that my mother had to take care of immediately or down the road. They also came to deliver his remains and my mother never had to go anywhere because they always came to her. This experience took a huge weight off of my mother’s shoulders and I couldn’t be more grateful!

I used Chris and I can't tell you how happy I was for the care and service he provided to me when my spouse died on Thanksgiving in 2015. He came to the house and gently wrapped her and carried her to the gurney since it was difficult to get it inside my home. She was so thoughtful towards me and her children. I would use them again.

AVOID this place! Fred and Chris mislead us and are less than professional when trying to backtrack and correct their mistakes. One blames the other but neither seem to ever be in their office so they "don't have that information in front on me".They are not "inexpensive" they are "cheap". I wish we had chosen another business to help us in our time of need, not a callous, unconcerned pair of brothers. FYI We were told 5-7 business days at the most for their services. I spoke to Fred, who chose to avoid the truth, and Chris, who admitted my Dad's body has been sitting at their facility for a week even though they have all the necessary paperwork to have competed their service last week (on the 7th). They sure found time to reply to my posting though, even if they never offered any apology. Can't leave them a half a star or none, otherwise I would.

I have to leave at least one star to write a review. This star is for Chris, he was outstanding. Unfortunately for him and the business his associate Fred deserves negative stars. Me and my father have never been so verbally disrespected by a "professional" let alone during a time of such sadness and grief of the loss of my mother- and his wife of 41 years. I won't bore anyone with the menial details of our encounter with Fred but please trust us when I tell you... choose a different business. We also took the time to send the BBB a formal complaint on principle. We have NOT asked nor do we want a refund. The apology from Chris will suffice. I wouldn't trust another family member in their hands ever again, after the way Fred spoke to and reacted to a simple error made by them.
