We specifically requested a closed casket for my Dad's funeral but when we arrived, the casket was open and my father had not had any makeup done or it had been done very poorly. He looked terrible. When we asked, they closed the casket quickly before the service was to start. After the service they wanted to get our family to the cemetery and we had no time to talk to anyone. In fact when we went back to pick up family photos, etc. they wouldn't let us back in, and an irreplaceable original framed baby picture was lost. Our experience was so uncaring. I read the other reviews and our experience was not at all like that. I really regret using them. It tainted the process of grieving my father.

They provided us an incredible and comforting experience while experiencing something that a loved one dreads going through. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Every single interaction with them, they served with graciousness, helpfulness and a servant's heart. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone. I don't know why anyone in Omaha would go anywhere else. And they didn't pressure us into "up-selling" they were very direct and accommodating with what we wanted within our budget.

I cannot say enough how much I appreciate the professionalism of Bill Cutler and the staff at Heafey. My mother passed away in Kansas, and we needed to have her transported to Omaha so she could be buried with my dad. I had done quite a bit of research after hearing an NPR story. Heafey charges very reasonable prices compared to other funeral homes in the Omaha area. Bill was very helpful.

We are planning for funeral expenses for my mother. Bill Cutler has been very helpful, courteous and considerate of our time and resources. This funeral home has just reopened its doors the beginning of Oct 2017 and we toured around a bit. Not surprisingly the new facility is very beautiful.

Heafey Hoffmann Dworak Cutler Mortuaries is only in it for the money. My friends father passed away recently and we reached out to the partner Mortuary in Bellevue, NE. They were busy and encouraged us to use Heafey Hoffmann Dworak Cutler. We worked with the son of the owner and upon finding out that the Veterans benefits would be paying for everything his demeanor completely changed. At one point when discussing the casket supplied by the benefits he called it a cardboard box. Not once did he tell us he was sorry for our loss. It was clear that since there was not extra money to be made he would not go out of his way to to show any compassion. I was very disappointed and will not encourage anyone to use this Mortuary again.

Bill Cutler is terrible at walking a family that lives out of state through a burial. It's not every day that someone dies for me and I've never had to coordinate something like this. I reached out to this company because we used them when my mother passed. I wanted someone to walk me through what I needed to do, all the details and the cost without me pulling it out of him. Instead of giving me precise details I got ballpark figures and condecension. I contacted them the day after my father died to figure out my father's wishes because they had those on file. Then called them back 5 days later to book the space for the service and he said something about me not calling for weeks! I think I know how long it's been since my father died thank you very much. Also when you call don't expect to be able to talk to anyone, expect to get called back at their convenience. Expect when you try to ask for a different funeral coordinator as Bill just wasnt doing it for me to be put on the phone with him, have to tell him directly that your are unhappy, then have him not speak to you the rest of the time prior to your service. Expect to not get told the prices for things prior to the end of your service and for things to be hundreds of dollars more than expected. The reason I have it at 2 stars and not just one. The other people at the funeral home were very forthcoming with information and helpful when I could get them to talk to me. When we showed up for the service the facilities are nice, the attendant was accommodating and helped us get a few unexpected items placed.

I worked with Bill Cutler at Heafey Hoffmann. The facility at 7805 West Center Road (which they call West Center Chapel) is beautiful, brand-new, and well-equipped to handle any size of service. They have one chapel with pews. One smaller chapel. A larger chapel with chairs that can be added or removed. They also have a community room, in case you wanted to have food after a service. I had a very good experience with Bill Cutler. He didn't try to upsell me on anything. He was respectful, especially to my mother-in-law. He responded well to minor changes on the day of the service when we needed to add some extra chairs. When a family member had a specific request, he checked with me first as the next-of-kin. The organization ran well too. They have sticky boards for physical photos and easels. They have TVs for showing slides. You can bring in your own music. They can create funeral programs quickly. My wife was cremated, and they were able to separate her ashes into a container for me and two smaller containers for family members. Heafey Hoffmann worked extremely well for our service.
