Well my family and i are not happy with Modetz. Its been 9 months since my dad passed and he doesnt have a headstone. My mother and i were told final approval wasnt given to order his headstone- final approval was given!! They didn't mind cashing the check though. They told our family today it would be 2 weeks before everything is finished. Really Modetz??

We are grateful for all you did to display our pictures, gifts, flowers, and my husband's hobby, the room looked great. You helped us make the funeral unique. Most of all you were caring and listened to the smallest detail of how we wanted to honor him. We are grateful for your expertise. The process went smoothly you were happy to do all we asked. They cut my sisters hair without permission. She had very long hair, which she loved. They cut it to above her shoulders! Well over 12" When i called them and asked them about it, they lied and blamed it on the medical examiner. I have their step by step report and i called the ME office who assured me they do NOT ever do this.i believe they simply didn't want to take the time to comb it out bc of how long her hair was. They did a poor job with body prep as well, not using enough fluids, poor head placement, very little face make up etc. She was young and they made her look like a 90 year old grandma. NOTHING like the pictures we gave them of her. I will never use this place for a loved on again.

If you unfortunately find yourself in a situation that requires the services of a funeral home, I can say without a doubt that you could not find yourself in better hands than at one of the Modetz family owned funeral homes. They go above and beyond from beginning to end to see you through what can be one of the most difficult experiences a person can go through, and they do so professionally, respectfully, patiently, reverently and with a compassion that makes it very clear that they genuinely care for each and every family that they serve, without exception & that they are dedicated and passionate about what they do & the duty of care that they are entrusted with by those that they serve. Finally, despite having some of the nicest facilities & providing the highest quality of service, their prices are comparable to, (or in many cases less than) other funeral homes in the area, despite the nicer facilities and commitment to the highest quality of service standards. If you find yourself in need of a funeral home, I would recommend one of the Modetz funeral homes locations & would stake my reputation on that referral without hesitation.
