The people were very unfriendly and very rude... very expensive for not much. Just interested in money. Dont recommend this funeral home at all.

This place is extremely good, few janitors were rude but the other staff was amazingly helpful. My mom just recently passed away and I recommend this place highly, they also even helped my want for the hot coco even though they were all out. I just wish I didnt have to be here so many times...

They embalmed my mother even though she was to be cremated and her body was at the crematorium within 48 hours, per Michigan Health Code. They didn't start digging her grave until just before the burial and purposefully delayed the memorial service and procession so the groundskeeper could finish digging the small hole. Also we were promised a tent and chairs for the burial service, but received nothing. Overall am completely dissatisfied with the whole process and the staff.

We were rushed out of our memorial service, we were told to keep it short when originally they said we could take all the time we need. When you have family coming long distances and from out of state thats ludicrous to say you have to wrap it up because we have another back to back service, stop being greedy and give your customer time to remember their love one. The TV advertisement is false.

What an awful experience. When you are already having a hard time dealing with the loss of a loved one, this awful place will nickel and dime you to death with all kind of hidden fees with no transparency. I am surprised they don't charge you a fee to come back to visit your departed one. maybe that's next on their hidden fee agenda. Avoid this place at all costs.

The staff was extremely rude. They refused my family from using the insurance policy, they refused us to see our loved one, and told us that "this is how we run our business." People flew in from out of state, came from Texas, North Carolina, and Louisiana. Families look for comfort in laying their loved ones to rest in a peaceful way, instead, Michigan Memorial Funeral home RUINED my uncles funeral.

In response to “John Gage”.... That review couldn’t be FARTHER from the truth about Mr. Roe and Ms. Browe; they are BOTH compassionate, caring and professional funeral directors. Our family has personally experienced this during my grandmothers memorial service in November 2018. Our family felt like the ENTIRE staff went above and beyond helping us bring my grandmother back to Michigan from Texas and working within our budget to have a personalized memorial service to celebrate her life. The veracity of such comments written by “John Gage” appear to be more of his need to personally attack certain staff members verses a mature review of his experience in its entirety.

i would never ever lay my dog out at the funeral home there very very rude. my mom paid for a upgrade casket for my grandma my grandma other kids came in and got the money back off of it. and the funeral home let them. after my mom paid 1500 on it. wish that place would go out of busness

Unfortunately my family and I have been here MANY times over the last 7 years and every single time it has been amazing. Everyone is so nice and welcoming and the funeral home is always spotless and plenty of room for parking. The cemetery itself is always kept really nice and clean. My daughter and I actually stopped today to get a map as to where a loved one is buried. The older lady at the front desk seemed a little bothered by my question as if I was a burden for her and didn't crack a smile. The lady in the next room got the map and showed me exactly where the plot was she was really nice and smiled! She was dead on with her directions on how to find the site! Thank you!♡

Very rude unprofessional staff.after mothers cremation was handed wrong clothes at funeral home. Cremation took forever.therefore the viewing was absolutely etched as a nightmare in my brain not a memory i should of had right before laying her to rest.Very sad.i give the funeral home double ff from beginning to end.

This is the most beautiful place to go to when you lose a loved one. The facility is absolutely gorgeous. Everything from funeral planning, flowers, creamation services and grave sites available all in one place! The staff go above and beyond to help ease your burdon of the stress that goes along with funeral planning. Highly recommend

We felt we had to share...our family had the best experience at Michigan Memorial. We were looking for a place after the burial (of our beloved mom)for a celebration of life luncheon. After meeting with Jake and Craig we knew we found the right place, they were so accommodating, they went above and beyond with every detail. From the beautiful design of the video, and food was delicious, the dove release made it extra special, and not to mention the brand new facility is gorgeous and comfortable! Jake and Craig also took the time on a Sunday evening to come to our moms visitation, true class acts.

Lost my father very tragically and suddenly a few weeks back. We needed a spot with a LARGE capacity to accommodate hundreds... We also needed to give our father the send off he would have wanted as a president club chapter for a motorcycle club. We were able to incorporate his motorcycles, use a motorcycle hearse for a last ride which was beautiful, had an excessive amount of photos for the slide show.. and some very specific requests from different family members.. We worked with Jeniece and she was absolutely wonderful, very professional and everything we needed during this difficult time. She didn't say no to anything and has continued to go above and beyond to accommodate us even though weeks have passed. Thanks again Jeniece, this is exactly the service a grieving family needs when having to go through the most difficult time of their lives.

I went here for my cousins funeral. The facility was beautiful and everything seemed very well run. However, since the funeral was an 8 hour affair we brought a lot of food for the whole family to snack on. When cleaning everything we noticed that all our pop and water were gone and that things had been moved around when no one was in the room. We also saw an employee come in (thinking we didn't notice her) and steal some of our food. Honestly, flabbergasted.

I can't say enough good things about Michigan Memorial staff. Specifically our funeral director, Jake Foggia. He came to meet with me and my family at the hospice facility in Livonia that my mother, Nancy Andrus, was at until the time of her passing on June 1, 2019. Upon our first initial meeting, Jake was compassionate, respectful and personable. He explained everything very thoroughly and was not pushy in any way whatsoever. Several days later, my mother passed, and Jake continued to handle everything with such professionalism, yet was still very caring, sensitive and patient. Whatever we asked of him, he went out of his way to make it happen. He answered every text and every phone call almost immediately and was so respectful to not only myself, but also to my family and friends, and every visitor that came as well. Michigan Memorial should be so fortunate to have a dozen employees just like Jake. I also want to mention that anytime I called the funeral home directly, all of the staff were very compassionate and sensitive to our needs. My mother's funeral was held at our church, so there were a couple of additional employees who accompanied Jake and these ladies made sure the day flowed seamlessly. If I could remember their names I would list them here, because they were awesome as well. The very next day, we met at the funeral home for my mother's entombment. The funeral home itself is beautiful, immaculate, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. As we made our way through the grounds towards my mother's final resting place, we took note that the landscaping is impeccable, tranquil and serene. Whatever your faith, denomination or religion you identify with, all were represented throughout the grounds. Death is something all of us will face someday, but when you have someone like Jake that you are working with, it makes this incredibly painful experience easier to navigate through. I hope that after reading this review, you feel confident in seeking any of the services they offer. Thanks again Jake, and to everyone at Michigan Memorial, for your professionalism and compassion.

I cannot thank Jake and the staff for making the most difficult week of my life easier. My mothers funeral was simply beautiful, she looked so peaceful and beautiful and was taken care of in a dignified manner. I unfortunately experienced the loss of my father 9 months ago and Jake and staff were there during his funeral also. I hope I don't have to use your services again anytime soon but if I do I know everything will be perfect once again.
