I can not recommend this home enough for anyone looking for some place to give dignity to your recent lost loved one. When my father passed, they were there within an hour, and have been unbelievably supportive and compassionate ever since. The entire staff is kind, generous, and thoughtful. My father was presented perfectly at his funeral. And when the services were over, they allowed me to stay as long as I needed to say goodbye. Even after the funeral, they have been quick to respond with any questions I've had, and very willing to help with anything they could. They have truly made the hardest experience of my life a lot easier and less stressful. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, Heeney-Sundquist.

Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home has served our family for nearly 20 years. First was my youngest sister, Mark and the staff were so kind and professional, She was an MSU alumna and they had Spartan flags on the hearse. Next was my mother, a WWII veteran in the Coast Guard. Heeney-Sundquist arranged for a Coast Guard military honor service and made sure the flag from her casket was folded perfectly. A year ago this month was my other sister's funeral. Mark and his staff again took such good care of our loved one and us at this sad time. Last month was my Dad, a WWII Purple Heart Combat Medic. Again, the little touches that mean so much were attended to with genuine kindness and compassion. I cannot say enough good about the attention to detail and professionalism of the people at Heeney-Sundquist. This attitude comes from Mark who holds his staff to the highest standards. At the military honors for my Dad we found out that Heeney-Sundquist has a veteran on staff and he honored my father by saluting during the playing of Taps and the folding of the flag. Thanks, again to Mark, Geoff, and the other staff who made 4 unbearable experiences bearable.

Updated 05/02/19 - Most of my family have had their funeral here. The whole facility is pleasant, peaceful and clean. The staff is exceptional offering fair & competent services, but their best work is the embalming and displays. Any catering or consumables must be taken downstairs for sanitary purposes. The Heeney historia museum was converted to additional lounge rooms with some of the articles in place. Parking is still sparce & all over downtown. I strongly don't suggest bringing restless or loud children here: The staff can only apologze so much, and they don't have white noise machines outside every room.

I've had two family members funeral here. Mark and the staff could not have been any kinder or more professional. I could not have gotten through the death of my grandmother and father, if it wasn't for Heeney Sunnquist. Highly recommend.
