My mom had pre arranged her funeral via the National Cremation society (based in Florida). She added Travel Protection because she visited us in Maryland so often. When we reported her death, the National Cremation Society contracted with Lemmon Funeral Home.
They picked up my Mom's body within two hours. I was called the next day and asked to come to them to identify her body officially. When my husband and I arrived, we met with one of the most caring and compassionate funeral directors, Byran Clary. Bryan immediately put us at ease as he explained the entire process. My Mom didn't want a Wake, nor a byFuneral - she only wanted to be cremated and her ashes to us. I told Bryan my Mom's wishes and he assured me there would be no problems (there weren't).
Then we had to identify her body. I expected to be brought downstairs to their morgue, but Lemmon Funeral home had brought her body up to one of the regular viewing rooms. She was laid out on a display stand. I was surprised at how good she looked. Finally free from the severe pain that had hung over her for the past 6 years she was at peace. The funeral home had done a great job.
I give Bryan and Lemmon Funeral home the highest recommendation. Any communications from them were expedited, prompt, and professional. Explanations of the process were detailed; everything was covered. Their make-up and hair stylist did a fantastic job. They didn't have a photo to view, but she looked like her old self was just sleeping, IMHO it was perfect with a hint of a smile. Just like she had in real life.
And Bryan's level of compassion was perfect. Not overbearing, and not not enough - his level in my mind, was perfect for my/our situation.
I highly recommend considering Lemmon Funeral home for your needs.
Thank you.
