I'm not actually related to the deceased, I apparently have a similar name to a relative so I got all of their emails. They did make an extra effort to clear up the issue.

My dad passed away at our home unexpectedly on April 24th. My husband had found him deceased in bed around 2:15 am. Jordawn Moses was one of the morticians who showed up at our house to take my dad. She was so kind and thoroughly explained what the next few days would be like, although I don't remember much because of the initial shock of my dad's passing. My family and I met with her a couple of days later to go over funeral and cremation options. Sadly, my dad passed away without a penny to his name and no life insurance, so there was no way we could afford a $5,000 cremation. Jordawn was really understanding and very down to earth. She recommended Advantage Funeral & Cremation since they were more cost friendly. Although we did end up going through Advantage for my dad's cremation, I feel that Jordawn was very real, compassionate, and truly cared about loved ones that were deceased. I fully and completely trusted Lindquist Funeral Home with my dad and am thankful for their professionalism and for their employees like Jordawn.

The woman who help us, was so real. Not to mention compassionate, to our family's needs.

Do NOT call Lindquist unless you want to throw money away. My dad died at home, we had Lindquist called as we have used them for years and years with good luck. This time it was not good. I wound up paying over $6500 yes $1200 was for memorial keepsakes (we are still waiting for those) All we had asked to be done was to have him cremated and a few death certificates nothing else. I still have to pay to have his ashes put into the ground at the cemetery. I have found out that I could have called someplace else and had him cremated for $1300 or less. There was no service nothing. It took 13 days from when he died to get his ashes. they had them 5 days after he died. I had to call leave a message just to get them along with the death certificates as I can't do anything without them. Please do not call Lindquist unless you have money to burn.

These guys are barely adequate and very expensive. $12,000 for cremation and a two hour service. Catered adequately. No one commented on the food. They are horrible about communicating. They have an answering service, they don't answer their own phones. Its either the world's worst answering service or they ignore their messages. I think the latter. I requested a copy of the invoice to file with my wife's estate in February. I still don't have a copy. One of the remembrances they sold me was cheap and broke before I could give it to my Mother In Law. They never got back to me about that either. The last thing you need after losing a loved one is to deal with these people. Run away screaming! **** 7/2/19 They responded to my post but not to me in person. They are pretending they don't know how to get ahold of me. They had no trouble contacting me when they were looking for money. Kinda supports my overall opinion of them.
