Do not, I repeat do not use this place. No business ethics and the poor customer service. I went to Majestic Mortuary on February 5 to pay for a cremation and ordered death certificates. I am from out of state and told the staff member I would be back in town for a three-day weekend in a couple of weeks. She said I could pick up the ashes and death certificates at that time. We arrived at Majestic to find they were closed. When called the staff member we had dealt with and she was out of town. We had to stay over on Monday to pick up the ashes. She did not have the death certificates but said she would have the next day by noon and would send them over night and send us the tracking number. We never heard from her or received the certificates. When we called she did not return our phone calls. We finally spoke with someone else who apologized and said they had not received the certificates. We finally received a text from the staff member 16 days later to say she had sent the certificates. Seven days later we still don't have the certificates and when I went to the post office I was told they had been sent back to Majestic because of incorrect address. When I spoke with the staff member she informed me that she was not able to send next day because of a problem with the address. She had TWO phone number to contact us but didn't bother to call and sent the package to the incorrect address. So we are incurring expenses of utilities we can't disconnect, stop any automatic withdrawals and can't file anything with the court because we don't have a copy of the death certificate. Again, do not use Majestic Mortuary.

From the very moment my siblings and I walked into those doors it was pretty obvious these people could care less that we were morning the loss of our mother. They were concerned about nothing but money. Most funeral homes offer payment plans and we really needed one because my moms insurance refused to pay. They refused to give us a payment plan and suggested that we beg our friends and family for money. On top of that i purchased a very nice wig for my mom. It was cut and styled exactly the way she would wear it. All they had to do was put it on her. My mom was 54 they made her look 80. I had to go into the funeral home minutes before the viewing and do her hair over. They put no make-up on her. We didnt even get to put an obituary in the paper because they were hell bent on making us pay an additional $250 for a write up in Times Picayune. they did not mention the free obituary that we could get in The Advocate until it was to late to put one in there. On top of all of that they refused to wait for the insurance company to send them the money my mom had already put into her insurance. We had my moms service on the 19th of March. We over paid by $100 and we have yet to be reimburse... Conveniently the funeral Director is never available to discuss this.... This was the worst experience of my life.... I wouldnt recommend these people for a dogs funeral.

Very nice people that takes very good care of your loved ones. I've went through here twice within a month and I would highly recommend for anyone to bring their loved ones here. I'm very picky on everything in life.so with this coming from me. It's wonderful ...i could write a full page of my likings on this facility

This is an excellent place to organize your family services. The staff here has outstanding professionalism, knowledge and empathy towards your time of bereavement. It has been around approximately 5 generations and buried many family and friends of mine. If you are looking for loyalty and greatness this is the funeral parlor of choice.
